  1. If it helps I can recommend watching ‘I saw the Devil’ if you can find it anywhere. Fucking brilliant.
  2. Don’t get your hopes up pal. It’s pretty average to be honest.
  3. A bloke from my old work went to school at Altrincham Grammar and said Fred the Weatherman was teaching there at the time. He maintains they made them do their swimming lessons naked.
  4. Doesn’t surprise me. I bet he was a complete cunt away from the tv cameras. Something deeply sinister about him, I never got why he got his bollocks licked by everyone. Like the Roy Hodgson of the tv world.
  5. You’ve done well there. I’d have been trying my hardest to hold it in and remain nice but would have gone into a full blown Bill Burr style rant.
  6. I saw the video of his ‘we threw everything at it’ and then reeled off a list a mile long of things that ordinary people, especially in America would have no chance of affording. Charlatan.
  7. Just google the name and there are other decent editorials
  8. I was surprised by the number of absolute shitholes there are in the Lake District. A place I think called Whitehaven stood out as particularly hideous. No amenities, just a bomb site of an ugly estate. Absolute worst of both worlds. Inner cities are sometimes horrific but at least interesting stuff goes on there, this place was just horrible. I also went to St Helens the other week on a Sunday morning and it was particularly grim. Boarded up shops, zombie like locals sat drinking Frosty Jacks on the floor in the middle of the square and the whole place just seemed dirty. Horrible.
  9. I play 5 a side with a Bloo who’ll search out and repost anything he can that sheds a bad light on us but do it in a snidey way where he won’t mention us but just talk about people being a disgrace in broader terms. He doesn’t seem to do it that much when there are negative stories floating round about them though.
  10. It took Chelsea a long time to do it. Indeed took Ferguson a long time too. Everyone will have a different view, but over recent years I would say the CL has become a bit devalued and is not as important as maybe it was between say 1992-2002, or say 2007-15 which felt very much the golden eras for it. That is genuinely brilliant. Proper chuckling here.
  11. ‘Towel - check’ ‘water bottle - check’ ‘pound for the locker - check’ ‘Air Jesus’s - check’ ‘rocket launcher - check’
  12. I imagine there are going to be a tonne of quotable lines. Love the one in the trailer ‘Japan has a massive drugs problem, you can’t get them anywhere’
  13. It’s a joke, the team I play on is decent enough standard and I used to think I was good but then a genuine pro came down to train with us once his season had ended and watching him drove home how bad the situation had got.
  14. I started back at football a few months ago and have been horrified at the acute loss of pace and stamina compared to even 5 years ago. Used to absolutely fly past people but now have bona fide, ancient, fat people waltzing past me. Proper disheartening. Feel like I’m going to die after the warm up stretches and gentle jog round the pitch before the actual game even starts. And I’ve gone fucking soft, the thought of falling over or going in a 50/50 brings genuine terror. I’m 40.
  15. We have distant family that are American, in their 80’s. One of their main arguments why they aren’t having the vaccine is because ‘it alters your dna and that can make you infertile and reduce life expectancy’ We don’t talk to them much.
  16. I bet they won’t be letting Reynhard make the drinks at half time.
  17. Should be easy for him to prove then for him shouldn’t it. If I was genuinely hacked I’d be handing over everything I could so they could check the IP address and anything else to get to the truth.
  18. Just about to post this, seems to be a woman driver speciality. Waiting to turn right out of a T junction, not today pal, and certainly not if it’s a Fiat 500 that wants to turn into your junction. Try to explain to one why it’s sometimes easier just to let someone out and give yourself more room to make the turn and you’ll usually be met with a look of utter confusion as it’s clearly never occurred to them.
  19. I hope they go ahead with the plan that only the kid with it goes home and the others monitored via testing. That way you’d hope in the vast majority of cases the kid would only get it once and their schooling only interrupted the once as well. Can’t carry on like they are now with whole classes or year groups having to go off.
  20. Feels like it’s going worse now than at any point. Both my kids are off school, one with the year group isolating, the other started coughing an hour into the start of the school day and has been sent home and now pending a test result. It feels like it’s absolutely rife. Everyone I know has either a friend or relative who’s got it or had it very recently. Admittedly most I hear about aren’t getting ‘that’ sick off it past cold like symptoms for a couple of days but it’s causing absolute chaos with then having to isolate. Mate of mine had it, whole house in 10 days isolation. Last day and the son went down with it so restart on the counter. Absolute hell on earth.
