1. So this Brendan was a poster on here with that name or tagline or something? For what its worth, my name has nothing to do with the cloudtype. It is the album title by one of my favourite artists, Evil Needle. Here's some of his stuff:
2. This looks pretty cool. I think FrenchEyeGlass had it spot on, its not revolutionary but just a bit interesting. Revolution is iterative in its nature anyway and maybe some of the precepts of this invention will go on to be used by somebody else who makes something even more useful and so on. Its probably heavy as fuck though.
3. So it seems you all think I'm somebody called Brendan? Right haha. Sorry to disappoint but my name isn't Brendan and that twitter account isn't mine. Why do you think thats me?
4. Never knew about this, i'll give it a try tomorrow. Been with them for years (fuck knows why) so I'd better get something. Has anybody been unlucky and not gotten a follow up?
5. Got so much time for Sami! Don't think his joint-coaching role is going to work though, it never does. He is a real leader though and I think he'll do well as a manager. Some people just have that presence.
6. I started season 3 last week, four episodes and i'm not enjoying it as much as the first two. But its still fucking ace. And off I go to watch another three episodes!
7. Read this three times and still don't understand it. Inside joke? Also, is there anyway to stop this youtube video autoplaying? I don't like being called a thundercunt every other minute!
8. Absolutely incredible goal. When do we find out who wins player of the year? I can't understand how its even an argument, he has by far been the best this year.
9. Do people really see Carroll going to Newcastle? I really doubt they'll stump up the kind of money we'd demand.
10. Nothing to do with your argument but its actually not ironic at all. I think maybe the word you are looking for is fitting.
11. Odd, this is exactly what came into my head too. And now i'm going to watch it again.
12. Do you think £50m would represent good value? Given his age and his ability, I'd disagree. Throw in the fact that numerous wealthy clubs (PSG, Real, Barca, Bayern, City) will all be after him, I think we could demand more.
13. The prospect of reading about him leaving us all summer is god awful. I know it's inevitable that he'll go sooner or later (unless it suddenly all clicks) but it'll be crushing when he does. Rodgers has quite the task on his hands.
14. Yeah, I agree - but surely that is implied? All replacements should be improvements. I'd forgotten about them. Sterling isn't, for me, nearly ready to command a first team place and Borini hasn't convinced me in the slightest. It'll be interesting what happens with the latter, because on merit Downing deserves his place here far more. It'd be a little harsh on the lad to judge him after a year blighted with injury, but we may have to. His injury record over the past few years is disconcerting to say the least. Carroll has no chance of staying here.
15. Do people think we have enough up front as it is? Most of the discussions about summer have centred around defensive midfielders and centre backs, so i'm assuming so. Personally, I think Luis' form this year is more indicative of his ability than his form last year. If he stays (big 'if', I know), I reckon he'll put them away just like he has this season. I don't think Sturridge will be as frequent a goalscorer but instead have purple patches throughout each year. Quite a few people seem to be happy with Downing and although he's done well recently, I just don't think he's good enough. If we replace him with a genuine goal threat then I think our forward line has the potential to be great. But it does leave us wondering how Brendan will line us up. With Coutinho, that leaves four players contending for three spots. Do people think we will (or should) stick with 4-3-3?
16. I was absolutely delighted with our performance this weekend and by all means, the signs are really positive. The mention of Wigan away is often enough to make me wince (given our record in recent years) so it was pleasant to say the least to watch us trounce them. I really do hope they go down this year because - as much as I love away days - entering that pisshole isn't half depressing! It really seems that our confidence is up right now and I hope we can finish these last 10 games strongly. Our squad is littered with quality and with a few more good purchases this summer (I know, easier said than done) we'll be a bit of a force. Depth is a couple years away but the first team isn't far from top four quality. I really believe that our league position is slightly deceptive (even if deserved); customarily 'solid' players have been uncharacteristically terrible at times and our Striker situation has been finally been addressed. I know some people wanted us to be top four immediately but I feel we need to be patient. Had we signed Coutinho and Sturridge in the summer (which by all means should have occurred) then I doubt very highly we would have been 7th right now. The fact that we're even in sight of the top four (albeit merely) is, for me, quite astounding. We were relying on youngsters who had never even played senior games. For me, January onwards is a better indication of Brendan's prospects here and you'd have to be unfair or untruthful to say that results haven't been good (on the whole) in the league since then. (New here by the way - hi all. Been lurking for quite a while though; don't really know why it has taken me so long to join)
