  1. Nothing new in all this. I remember at University in the 70's, there was a wide survey of blood samples etc taken from children who were growing up within a certain distance of Spaghetti junction. The results over a few years showed poor brain development in those children compared to neighbouring authorities.
  2. Add the fact that they cannot marry a Catholic into the equation and it's clear you have a valid point.
  3. Last nights game was as poor as the recent Derby-any neutral would have been bored stiff. However, you got two crucial 1-0 wins at a time when Chelsea are threatening to run away with it, so fair play to your lot.
  4. This ..First SKY, then BT , bought football and as paymasters they decide everything. Consideration of fans or team schedules is of no concern to them
  5. There is a certain logic to that, but obviously there is little chance of a top 6 finish this season, where we are now is where we will probably finish
  6. My mate has been struck off the Medical Register. He did the unforgiveable deed of falling in love and having sex with one of his patients. Terrible shame,as he is a cracking fella and the best vet for miles around.
  7. First ever Derby.. Bunked into boys pen in Everton's 4-0 win at Anfield in around 1965 at Anfield.. First one I paid and did the first 90 minutes was Charity Shield at Goodison 1966 ( Everton 0, Liverpool 1- I should have sensed what I was letting myself in for) Best Derby memory... winning at Anfield 2-0 in March 1970, setting us on our way to win the league, and revenge for the 0-3 at Goodison earlier that season. Worst Derby memory- 86 FA Cup Final. There was nothing between those two sides that season ,and yet we ended up with nothing as you won the double Best Everton player in Derbies..Alan Ball Player hated playing against..obviously Rush p.s Surprised you chose Latchford as most feared- he stank in Derbies and never scored in one
  8. It's something that Clubs should consider more when signing a player. You sign a player who is an African International, then you know there is a high chance of him being missing for several weeks every second year.
  9. As I was saying! He was giving back what Suarez did to him the season before at Goodison, when Suarez put him out for a few weeks after a similar tackle to the Barkley one the other night. He also did Distin in a similar manner in the same game, yet wasn't carded.
  10. Aye, fair comments them- the League table doesn't lie. The team with more quality saw the game out better and deserved to win. I'd have thrown Mirallas on in the second half,as at least he has shown the bottle for Derby matches previously- something most of the starting eleven hadn't.
  11. Or this classic from my childhood Adam Adamant tv theme 1966 (full version) - YouTube
  12. Man In A Suitcase Theme Music - YouTube .later pinched by TGI Friday
  13. That was a tremendous goal that deserved to win a final. As was Steve McKenzies for City against Spurs in their defeat in 1981.
  14. I felt I was in a time warp, thrown back to several Derbies of the 1970's at the match last night. Plenty of commitment ,but lacking in quality. You lot just about deserved it on your second half performance,we seemed to lose a lot of pace and legs in the second half without McCarthey
  15. From my days of going to The Stadium,The Faces and Thin Lizzy were both excellent live bands. As were Supertramp ( I saw them just before they had Dreamer hit the charts)
  16. Maybe bring him out of retirement for just the one game It worked last time
  17. Throw in the culpability of the Government of the day,and their part in the covering up and campaign of lies, and those are excellent comments.
  18. Aye, the standard of refereeing in the Premier League is atrocious.
  19. Forever associated with Status Quo, but here is the original from the excellent John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival fame Rockin' All Over the World - John Fogerty (Creedence Clearwater Revival) - YouTube
  20. Doctor Feelgood The Runaways AC/DC Springsteen The Zombies McCartney,s Wings in the mid 70's were a great live band.
  21. Todays front page headline screams that more migrants from Europe arrive than ever before. When you look at the figures they quote 284,000 came in last year They don't mention the fact that total immigration was 650,000-meaning 366,000 were non -EU . Probably because the brain dead Leave voters can't work out that we can't blame all immigration on the EU.
  22. Enjoy HAPPY BIRTHDAY - YouTube
  23. So it wasn't just Merseyside, and the Trade Unions that were to have "Managed Decline " Status. The root cause of most of the ills in our country/society today ,that witch. Selling off Council houses- selling off all our natural assets, leaving people in hock to banks and Privatised owners of energy, water, landlords etc
  24. I always thought Toploader wrote this Dancing in the Moonlight - King Harvest - YouTube
