This Must be the Place 6/10 Bizarre film. Nearly turned it off a few times but by the end i was glad i didn't. Sean Penn was understated but at his normal high level.

Its become common place now than a high majority of the time a defender will automatically speak to the ref or suarez accusing him of diving even when he's been genuinely fouled - hypocrisy of the highest order, if pretending you have been fouled when you haven't is not good etiquette then this is not either but of course there isn't a band wagon to jump on with this type of incident.

Carlisle,Brown and Roberts just come across to me as self publicists using the race issue to promote themselves higher than their footballing ability ever did/could/will. They constantly come out with these prepared sound bites that are growing old now. If they are genuinely concerned why not publicly state their philosophy on how to tackle the problem rather than bashing the efforts of others or wanting to govern the game themselves. The point has been made time and again but why has John Barnes not had these levels of exposure? The guy speaks so much sense and can speak from experience, the powers that be, could do and are doing a lot worse than using Barnes' knowledge and insight. There are so many valid points and questions raised on this forum alone and i would love a journalist brave enough to ask some of the more challenging questions to these 'experts' and see how they get on with not reciting from a script that is for me wearing thin now.
