  1. Pound for pound they're the greatest sports team in the world.
  2. No2

    Monarchy

I was previously against the idea of a President or even a Seanad (the Upper house in Ireland) but on reflection they are crucial. Cunts like Johnson need something in place to stop them running amok.
  3. If we come up short it will be the Chelsea result that stings most, we could well be the last team not to beat them.
  4. He's got a bumhole in his elbow.
  5. Having a brilliant player that isn't reliable is a curse. You don't strengthen that area of the pitch because said player is so important. The two finals sum him up, build a plan during the week and an hour before kick off it's up in smoke. I'd keep a fit Thiago forever but what's the point with the version we have?
  6. Everton are expected to argue they have been punished enough by the players they bought with the illegal money. They claim to have 35000 witnesses (all season ticket holders with 1878 in their bio).
  7. That Solanke one was handball and I'm sure the lino flagged for it. It was against WBA, I was at it and it was one of those games he killed us by a thousand cuts, spoke to the keeper about 10 times, each time actually enabling the keeper to waste even more time. If those stats are right we shouldn't need anymore than that to have him barred from Anfield.
  8. This is a good thing I think, we have nothing to play for and this should eliminate any doubts Klopp has. I still had an awful fear he would plough on with the same group plus one or two additions. We can reduce the size of the squad if we just sign durable players and move on those that keep the medical staff busy. Ox, Naby, Thiago, Bobby and Arthur must have missed 100 games between them this season, just get rid of them all, can probably let a physio go too, put that against the leccie bill.
  9. Aubameyang had 9 touches, 4 where from tip. Reminds me of a question I heard a couple of years ago. If you could play for any team in the PL in your current physical state, what team would you be most affective for and in what position? Could you improve on Aubameyang's contribution today?
  10. Has big Sam signed the contract? If I was him I'd be giving Todd a bell and letting him know I'm available.
  11. The ref in the Everton Newcastle game was excellent, didn't allow Newcastle do any of their Simione snide shit and then denied them a stonewall peno because cheats deserve nothing.
  12. Imagine Everton in a CL group or a world cup group, 4 teams and they have to be better than 2 of them to progress. Its not happening, crucially they are behind these teams, the previous escapes have come about by just being less shit than the others, they are trailing this time so just being less shit won't do it this time, they have to be better than them and they're just not. Leicester and Forest have the fans support, Leeds will probably get it again if they replace the manager. Goodison is ready to turn at Iwobi's first misplaced pass.
  13. Why would it be temporary? That makes no sense to me, the old system was broken and we have had a couple of go's at fixing it. This system is working, we're creating and scoring tonnes, legs in Hendo and Fabs position and we will eliminate half the chances the opposition get. @dave u Spurs where in the conference league last season and got knocked out in the group stages. They just don't win things.
  14. Sky Sports paper roundup seems to think Klopp is looking at a season ending ban. In terms of his reactions to officials over the years Sunday's wasn't even top 10. His comments after the game were nothing we haven't heard a million times before either. Looks like trying to get in their good books over the Robertson incident has backfired.
  15. Sky reporting Sam Allerdyce and his gravy jug are set to take over at Leeds. That could resurrect Leeds, they're doomed with the current guy.
  16. A point is of little use to them, add in losing Coleman for the long term and its a really bad night. Coleman is huge for them, he's one of the few leaders with talent they have.
  17. That was really good, 2 poor sides going toe to toe, fitnes a huge issue for both. The amount of players that couldn't run was a sight to behold, Sunday morning stuff. Very rare to see both sides still going for it in injury time.
  18. If Danny Ward was playing Everton would have scored 8.
  19. Pickford has to be on the spectrum.
  20. That goal is on Virgil, he has to deal with that, worst case scenario is he holds him up but he should be getting there before him and clearing it. Robbo is too far right but even in the right position he is exposed for a free header like Jesus a couple of weeks back.
  21. Give them Jurgen, Pep can see out the season for us. Weirdly I had one of the clearest dreams I've ever had the other night, we loaned Trent to Leicester and he absolutely destroyed Everton tonight. I'm properly invested in the relegation fight.
  22. Virtually everyone wanted us to use the last 8 games to try new things. We do that, experiencing some turbulence along the way and the toys are out of the pram. The back 4 are learning brand new positions, so are the two 8's. Games like yesterday are better than the Leeds game in terms of identifying and fixing issues.
  23. Richarlison's goal could be an example of the language issue. Our set piece defending has been amazing for years, communication has to play a huge part in that.
