  1. Oh yeah totally agree, he is rubbish, but for that split second...a genius. He proved that with his woeful shot towards the end.
  2. Moyes didn't even look pleased when they scored.
  3. Reading the first few pages of this thread, you'd thought some people had spent too much time in the sun this week! Getting a bit carried away with the doom and goom and Anti-Rodgers supporters using it as a stick to beat him with. A move to a good club will help hold his value (may even increase it) for when he does move and help his WC chances, Barca have just lost their latest manager, a new face may decide he wants Reina for all we know. I think with the staff in place and lessons learnt from past management, we'll get it sorted this summer. People need to stop painting this year's season with an old brush.
  4. Been gone a day and I see you guys have banned that Majestic guy who has an opinion on everything. Good on you. I'll come back tomorrow now.
  5. Pretty savage. Crazy to think some parts of world it's like the 18th century with iPhones
  6. Agree with this. We won't know too much till he signs for whoever but at least we have TIME to find someone else.
  7. He'll move on, doubt he'd be welcome back after pulling a stunt like that
  8. Their number 4 really thinks he's all that. Really not a fan of unsophisticated footballer like that. Reminds me of Lee "Shithead" Bowyer
  9. In the words of Charlie Sheen : "WINNING!"
  10. Try first row sports. You find the game and it comes up with 5 links that all work in the browser.
  11. Why are SO many people so retarded when it comes to football opinions. Some people should come with a health warning. The season is barely a week old and people are already coming out with ill-informed, knee jerk opinions. Give the guy a season or ideally a few, thats what we got him for. Jesus.
  12. All those quotes remind me of my friend who broke up with his ex over a year ago. Always goes on about her despite being "over" her and how much "happier" he is now without her making it bloody obvious he isnt. Torres isnt over us, he is constantly trying to justify why he left... we got it the first time! Stop going on about it! And as for the Xabi thing, didn't he who shall not be named force him into a corner by trying to buy Batty Barry and declaring Mr Alonso Surplus to requirements?
  13. My thoughts exactly when i read where he came from. Have to say Nike do make good kits and their advertising for the team they represent is pretty cool (see build up to champion's league final this year)
  14. Just what we need. This much needed expertise in place and when the new stadium is finished, will help so much in becoming a force again. As much as i dislike whiskeynose and his team of girls, they know how to market their team globally. Having a solid base beneath the team will add more confidence. Good job! (In American accent)
  15. Latest name in our left back search is Alvaro Pereira. Thursday Rumour: Liverpool target Porto’s £17.5million left-back The search for a left-back for Liverpool is hotting up as we edge closer to the start of the season. Virtually every left-back you can think of has been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer from the likes of Clichy, Enrique, Baines and Cissokho. The latest player linked with a move to Liverpool today is Porto’s Uruguay international Alvaro Pereira. Pereira is currently in Argentina taking part in the Copa America for Uruguay alongside Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. The Portugese paper ABola is running with the story of Liverpool targeting Pereira who is capable of playing as a left-back or left-midfield. The report suggests that Pereira has a release clause of £17.5million (20million euro) and if Liverpool are willing to pay that much they could capture the 25-year-old. Liverpool are also being linked with another Uruguay international, centre back Diego Godin. Maybe Kenny Dalglish has seen the success that their fellow countryman Luis Suarez has had at Liverpool and hopes that they could come in and do the same. The fact that Uruguay have done so well in the Copa America by reaching the Final goes to show how talented these players are. Thought he was quite good at the WC (Although we have been previously burnt buying a player on the back of a half decent world cup) and for porto last year. One downside for me is his appearance... he looks like one of those really freaking scary deep sea fish.
  16. Sorry if already posted and for sly sports link: Emery - Mata could go Valencia admit forward could leave for 'big-money' offer Emery - Mata could go Valencia head coach Unai Emery admits the club will struggle to retain Spain forward Juan Mata if the club receive a big-money offer for his services. Los Che are keen for the 23-year-old to remain at La Mestalla and he also wants to stay, however, their finances are likely to play a huge role in the decision. A host of Premier League clubs are being linked with the talented attacker with Arsenal and Liverpool very keen, while Manchester City and Tottenham are also said to be interested. Mata, who has been capped 11 times by the senior Spain side and led their Under-21s to European Championship glory earlier this summer, claims he is happy at Valencia and focused on helping the team win trophies. "Valencia has to be prepared for a footballer having to leave, either because is he is not wanted or because some big club wants to sign him," Emery told Cadena Copa. "We want him to stay and Mata has also expressed his wish to remain at Valencia, but we know that if a big-money offer comes in from any club and it's good for both the player and the club, it could lead to his exit." I know it's nothing we already don't know but clearly Valencia must be trying to drawn out any potential offers by repeating themselves in another statement...or bored journos fishing for news
  17. Easy to forget how shit it was and how much shitter it could have got but then common sense kicked in and it all got sorted. Roll on this season!
  18. It's called a bosu ball, like you said works on balance and co-ordination by targeting different muscles and making exercises hard, basically an exercise ball chopped in half. That picture of Stevie controlling that ball so well is a testament to the great condition these guys are in. Finally used my sports degree for something haha.
