Dave and redshadow have both got very good valid points, but to put things in perspective here we are moaning about playing well enough to be murdering teams in most matches, and this time last year we were numb in disbelief at being tonked at Anfield by Blackpool, Wolves and the 'formidable' Northampton. Not to mention Mr Hodgson claiming our dismal showing and deserved defeat against the blueshite was our "best performance of the season". No doubt about it, if we had the likes of Michael Owen or God, Rushie or Aldo to bulge the net regularly we would be in the top 4 and looking to push on.
