  1. I had a saved game of about 150 hours for Oblivion. How does every choose their character traits on these games? I always end up going for the physically hardest traits and building them up. It's probably the most generic way of playing it but there's nothing better than smashing someone in the grid with a two handed claymore.
  2. I am so weary of stats altogether now. I always wonder who is compiling them and is there a standard as sometimes things players do are debateable.. Last week in the first half I can remember at least 4 occassions were Lucas categorically gave the ball away He attempted a pass and it went straight to a Man Utd player. At half time on those foreign channels they have a stat comparison. It was Lucas and a Manc midfielder. It came up Lucas misplaced passes - 1. This is obviously just a one off occassion when I have noticed it but gives an example why I think the majority of the time you are best judging things with your own eyes and not someone elses tally which could easily be incorrect.
  3. The best thing about the site is definitely dave's write ups on the game and the weekend round up. I came across the site about a year or so go and read a match report. I thought as a Liverpool fan this is what I want to be reading. After reading him every week I don't understand why he's never got job for the echo or another paper as a journalist on Liverpool but I suppose they would lose a bit of the edge if he did. I think I am going to get a ST at some point this month just as appreciation for the articles. I don't really post that much but I suppose I would more if I had a ST.
  4. I don't know, I think balance wise we are okay. We have got a great goalkeeper. We brought a good left back in and that was necessary. We have two quality right backs. We have 4 centre halves (2 in peak years, one really young, and one older experienced) a number of centre mids whom none are exactly the same. We bought a left winger who plays lots of games, Bellamy who can play left and right. A number of players that can play on the right and 3 forwards. In seasons gone by you couldn't say all this. Now we can, it's a a case of letting them gel and slowly adding one or two players each window to improve. We have got decent quality throughout the squad and a decent mix of old young and peak players. We have got some decent left footers too.
  5. Every keeper has their purple patches. I think a lot of that comes down to circumstance as well. I can't remember any chances where he has had the opportunity to pull off these eye catching saves which he seems to need to make to reach a 7 out of 10 or above. The way we set up with always having a player sitting in front of the back restricts the 20 yard plus shots. I think at the moment people are looking for any reason as to why things aren't going as well as planned. We haven't bought well, the balance isn't there, Adam can't defend, etc. And most of it is bollocks. We are trying to gel a lot of new players together and sometimes like at Tottenham it is going to be a shambles until we find out the best team and the players are comfortable playing each other against top opposition. Some players though like Reina are literally completely blameless as they are doing their job. Reina will save us as many points this season and be as important as he has been nearly every season. To have a keeper that plays to the consistent high standard is a god send when you see some of the clowns there are. Just because he hasn't done a few saves for the camera in recent months doesn't change that.
  6. I completely disagree with the Reina stuff. The guy never drops any clangers and when was the last time you seen a goal go past him that you thought he should have definitely saved that. He is the most consistent player in the team. We have been spoilt by him after going so long with some really inconsistent keepers. Look at the new joker they have got at United. He is accident waiting to happen every game. You never ever think about Reina he won't catch that or what the fuck was he doing there. He now has the reputation of being a really good keeper as well which means you don't get sides thinking they can take the piss out of him by just lobbing balls in at him. And finally his distribution is up there with any keeper I have seen in the league and that can be massively underated when you don't realise why your centre forward has suddenly got the ball in the box against only one or two defenders.
  7. Tevez is the biggest dickhead in football. I hope they ruin his career. They have got the money to. They should just refuse to sell him and not let him train with the team for the rest of his contract. Fucking dickhead.
  8. If we got relegated we would still have complete gobshites following us. Even if we somehow didn't as soon as we got promoted and were successful again it would all return to normal. It would be pretty pointless. It's just a side effect of success you have to put up with. Things did seem to take a turn for the worse after Istanbul though.
  9. Listen to the gobshite his voice has broke about three times in the past few minutes. Highly amusing that Owen just doesn't get used whenever the match has any vague importance.
  10. How fucking horrendous is Gary Neville's commentary? It's painful listening to him.
  11. I would love to see us line up with Gerrard and Adam in the middle with Downing and Bellamy either side and Carroll and Suarez up front for at least one game. I know it's ridiculously gung ho but it would be nice to see us set up as with a really attacking line up going out to steamroll someone.
  12. Ye I hate the way Van der Sar's career at Utd is being rewritten. He was a fucking cock up merchant. Every couple of weeks he would make a blunder and it just gets ignored.
  13. I think Paul Scholes is massively overrated. He was good at drifting into the box and scored some great goals in the days of keane and beckham etc but when he moved back to playing as a proper midfielder he was mediocre. He lived off the success of all the great players he had round him. He doesn't come near the level of Gerrard.
  14. I didn't mind Steve Claridge as a player but my god what an utter gobshite he is on the football league show after MOTD. I don't mind the banter between Lineker and Hansen. I like that it's just three former footballers. They put the matches on they talk for a bit and move on. No fit birds distracting you talking out of their arse, no fancy sky shit and generally no fucking mancs. The only thing they need to sort out is the order of the matches. If it's the evening or early kick off then put it down the order.
  15. The way Kenny has been talking I don't think Gerrard will be starting. I think we may line up 442 with Kuyt instead of Gerrard. Bellamy really has to start tomorrow in some capacity either up front or on the right. If we go with Henderson again out wide we are asking for trouble.
  16. I'm mystified at the point you are trying to make. We signed Berger who turned out to be a decent player. They signed Poborsky who turned out to quite shit and they fucked him off sharpish. Unfortunately for us they had a better side and went on to have success. Just because they won the league, it doesn't necessarily mean all their players are better than everyone else's. This whole argument is completely ludicrous.
  17. Ridiculous comparison. It wasn't Berger's fault we didn't win the league while he was here and Poborsky certainly wasn't the reason United did.
  18. Can you name any game when he played as a centre mid of 2 or 3 when he had a good defensive performance? Any one at all? I genuinely can't think of any. Don't get me wrong I hate midfielders being pigeon holed into DM and AM and I think usually it's a load of bollocks as if you are playing in midfield you need to do both to play well and have a good game as a centre mid. Otherwise you are just another defender or forward like we used to see with Mascherano and Lucas. It's been a long time since we played with proper centre mids I think everyone has forgotten that.
  19. Meireles' positional sense is fucking woeful. We barely seen him in the centre mid position we are seeing Adam for us anyway. There was a hole host of incidents in the man u Chelsea game yesterday where you could have single handedly blamed Meireles for Man U scoring or coming close. For the Rooney goal he went charging into the area Jones was in where there was already about 4 Chelsea players, if he had any positional sense he might have spotted Rooney and another player queueing up for the ball to spill. When Utd broke for the pen he went charging back in behind his own centre halves then when he did come out to pressure Nani he let Nani turn inside and put some half arsed tackle in. Nani's goal in the first half came because Meireles was too busy marking nobody in the middle and put Nani under no pressure. That part of your post is absolute nonsense.
  20. Wasnt there rumours flying round of andy van de meyde loving the gary's. That could be the everton player mentioned although he's obviously not current.
  21. That was horrendous I thought it was Enrique. It wasn't even a 50/50. He could have clearly took that ball a few strides ahead of the other player.
  22. If you watch the impossible job and not grow a liking to Taylor you have a heart of stone. Good old school british manager that was unlucky with England and got hounded by all the southern journalists. The best bit of the documentary is when he abuses rob shepherd in the press conference
  23. He's pretty much pulled out of one tackle and that's it, he pulls out of tackles full stop. He's been good but not superb. Considering its his first season he's handled it well. The fact that he's been played in a couple of positions and not really given a consistent run at any of them hasn't helped but he handled being put on the wing okay, had some good games and some bad. The reason I think some people like him is that he looks the part. He's two footed, mobile and confident on the ball. For me it's only a matter of time before he starts to weigh in with goals and assists and starts to take some headlines.
