  1. Now getting pedantic about the definition of success. Nobody in here is saying he has been a success at winning trophies. You quite clearly know that they mean he has been a good manager and in turn that means he has been a success. What's this other shite about what media used to tell people and what they now tell people? Haven't they always been full of shite? For me the only one in here spouting shite that appears as though it's just regurgitated is you. You can't seem to think for yourself. Irrationally hating Redknapp is on the "good reds" checklist you just seem to be making sure it's ticked off and repeating the same shite about "the media" that most of these divvies do.
  2. Don't bother mate. He's already using the "media spin" shite which proves he hasn't got a clue. As soon as that line comes you know no amount of explanation could change it because any opinion that contradicts his own is based on shit. He's leaving them in a well better position than when he arrived. A success in my eyes.
  3. I hate all this. Football has changed from years ago. Yet divvies like this trot out this usual garbage. Years ago a Redknapp equivalent would have won trophies and challenged for the league. That doesn't happen now. The league is hogged by the billionaires club and United. It's basically impossible to win the league and the cups require a lot of luck and are otherwise completely hogged by the top clubs. Redknapp is one of the odd managers to win it with a club outside the top four. He took a poor underperforming Spurs and transformed them into a side that plays attractive football. He got them into the champions league for the first time and gave some of the top sides in Europe a run for their money. Success is relative, if you don't think he's been a success there you're a fucking mong.
  4. Every manager tells the defence to do different things and probably they change it against different teams. I would imagnie every top defender knows to stand goal side etc and make their own judgement calls on when to tackle and back off. One thing Benitez introduced with us early on which I liked was that when the opposition was in possession and they were in our half and played the ball sideways or backwards or defence would all push up 10 yards to catch the forwards offside. It also stopped us from sitting too deep. That obviously changed near the end so I don't know if that was a Benitez idea or not. Zonal marking was another thing. Whether you agree with it or not there are plenty of ways of using it. Another that will be coached. Things like what to do when players are out of position as well.
  5. Love all that. Love the fact he's a driven hard bastard as well. Can't wait for the season to start. Let's get behind him.
  6. Yeah I agree with that I suppose. I just think it's a waste of time saying get shut of all the shite because it's basically impossible to do. They aren't terrible players. I find it quite odd how we've treated Cole and Aquilani. Neither were really given a chance. From what I have seen Aquilani is nowhere near as good as is made out but he's not a bad player either. Neither is Cole. There is easily enough room in the squad for both players especially if we aren't bringing much in. Adam had a massively hit and miss season but he is definitely a better player than he's shown. It's a new manager so I would hope it's a clean slate for everyone.
  7. He didn't exist. Sorry to break it to you. Both players have apparently had decent seasons and nobody wants to fucking buy them. Why waste more money loaning them out and getting fuck all for it. If they aren't good enough to get in the first team then fair enough but they aren't horrendous players. They have both played in top leagues in Europe for years. I don't see how it's ridiculous to suggest they would improve the standard in training rather than harm it. You got booted off that other website for being a wanker despite posting on there for years. You quite clearly toned it down on here because you would have nothing else to do with your days if you got kicked off here as well. Even with you doing that your true personality still shines through. Absolute fucking gobshite. Nobody is fucking interested.
  8. We say this every bloody year. It never happens. Nobody wants to buy players that performed poorly in the previous year. These players are paid money that now no other club would pay them and they were signed for transfer fees that no other club would pay. I genuinely reckon if we started trying to sell Adam we would be lucky to get 3/4 million for him and would end up having to pay a certain percentage of his wages pulling that fee down even further. Then you need to replace him costing another 10 million that might go sour next year with the same thing happening. I doubt we will sell anyone in this transfer window. I hope Aquilani and Cole come back and aren't loaned out again either. We are going to lose money on these players either way so we may as well have them at the club just to increase the standard in training if anything.
  9. No it was Rafa. He shouted at the big mean men and they left.
  10. He might have went to watch him. I have no idea about that. How that equals him talking to Suarez therefore Suarez knowing Dalglish's credentials etc I also have no idea. There will have been a lot of people watching Suarez. I don't think it's ridiculous to suggest a young lad who grew up in Uruguay and played football in Holland would not know who Dalglish was.
  11. That's a massive assumption. Why would Dalglish have been talking to Suarez before Rafa was sacked?
  12. Sorry I didn't mean in terms of he actually knew Dalglish or met him, I mean I bet he didn't know he was in terms of his stature at the club and what he had achieved, that he had won the league with two different clubs, won the European cup three times etc etc. To him Dalglish was probably just some old footballer from the UK who had been put in charge of Liverpool. I might be way off the mark like but my point was that he signed for LFC not Dalglish and players will probably still do that.
  13. It's a fucking ballsy appointment. It's going to upset a lot pf people but it should get exciting knowing we are going to see something different next year. I don't think we will get top four but i don't reckon we will regardless of who is in charge. I just want to see progress. With regards to signing players I bet you Suarez didn't have a fucking clue who Kenny Dalglish was when he signed for us. Players will sign for LFC if not the manager. In my opinion, after they decided Kenny was going, it was time to take a risk like this and I'm glad we've gone for someone positive rather than negative.
  14. Number 4. When he requests a table and is given a lamp, he then tries to use the lamp as a washing machine.
  15. Or possibly they just have a different opinion. I love how it's becoming fact now that he's some sort of class player. It's like a painful real version of the emperors new clothes. Benitez is the emperor and his subjects are all the mongs who lap his shit up.
  16. It was a joke. I've said it before Jairzinho is one of the top posters on here.
  17. Collymore is definitely not amongst our worse signings and neither is Ryan Babel. They both did alright compared to some of the dross we have signed over the years. There are plenty of players who we've signed that are pound for pound worse. Diouf was fuckiing awful and was an absolute gobshite. I genuinely don't know how Salif Diao became a footballer. We went through a stage with Houllier where we spent loads of money but on loads of players for about 4m-10m who were mostly mediocre when we would have been better pooling the money and signing one or two actually good players.
  18. The senile old cunt continues. Apparently he has set a new deadline now for Thursday for all this to be sorted. I thought you said that we had made Martinez an offer already? That's what you said the other day. Fucking wanker.
