  1. Roma just beat Feyenoord on spotters. Lukaku missed his
  2. I think we have slipped off topic so just to bring it back, Manchester City are cunts.
  3. They are a danger from set-pieces also. No harm in having Gomez there
  4. They thought of Bradley as a first team player in the summer and during pre-season Quansah impressed enough to be considered as such. Therefore we started the season with: 3 x GKs 2 x RBs 5 x CBs 2 x LBs 8 x MFs 5 x forwards That's 25 senior players and a lash of promising kids. You aren’t going to get more than that, realistically.
  5. Everton are a pain in the hole. City are cancer.
  6. In Brighton's last 19 games, they have won just 5, with 23 points. For context in their last 19 games, Everton have won 7 games, with 26 points. Granted Brighton play better football than Everton but they also probably have better players than Everton and nobody, NOBODY is advocating Dyche. De Zerbi could very easily be a flash in the pan, the 2020s Owen Coyle
  7. The sycophantic laughs from the other journos suggest not. If I was the journalist that asked the question, I would have replied "Is your life better than mine? How do you know? You know nothing about my life. I have never been banned from my profession, while you have tested positive twice for taking drugs, and been handed a (suspended) prison sentence for illegal doping. I have not spent 16 years of my life fighting a charge in courts, blaming it on my doctor and then employing said doctor when I get my first professional managers position, with the club fined in said job for non-notification to drug agencies of your player's wherabouts. "I have never worked for a authoritarian state with appalling human rights violations. I have never worked for a company which has been investigated for 115 charges of non-co-operation, cheating, and fraud while I was at the helm. I also don't have a disgusting spitting habit and a bald head, so maybe you are a football manager but I feel I have a better life than you. It's like football really, all about opinions."
  8. Especially when Salah has been out it gave us natural width on the right. Jota didn't seem comfortable on the right when Trent played there lately, but was able to float around effectively when Bradley was bombing up and down the line.
  9. To be fair to Brentford on the 3rd goal, they had taken off the wing-back at that stage and Collins was playing right-back in a 4 at the back. Still, no excuse for the gaps between defenders, but a bit less comical. Thomas Frank said in a post-match interview that Darwin's goal was the first goal they have conceded on the break, from one of their set-pieces, since they joined the premier league 2.5 years ago. That's 101 games. A mad stat, considering we could have got 3 in the one game.
  10. He is a good keeper but more importantly, he has the temperament to play for LFC. That's rare
  11. Great post and agree with a lot of it but the first goal is on Konate. Van Dijk is urging everyone to push up 5 seconds before the ball is played through, but Konate dropped 5 metres. Havertz is offside if Ibou is where he should be. Even when Havertz shoots, he plays Saka onside. It is fine margins but the Liverpool high line/press is why we are so successful and most of the work goes unnoticed but if the line is not intact, it makes the defender pushing up look like the mug, rather than the one who "bottled" it and took a step backwards.
  12. That's fucking depressing Chris. No need for that. It's Friday and we play Burnley tomorrow. Cheer up
  13. They definitely are struggling to score first so thought 7/1 was huge. Would I be devastated if City don't get a winner? No I would not. Do I think I will be €160 better off in an hour? Yes I do.
  14. Klopp seems to like having an impact off the bench. Gravenberch and Elliott wouldn't have given that.
  15. There is an expectation everywhere that City will go on a run and dominate for the rest of the season. I know it has happened historically, but their form (in the league) since beating Bournemouth on 4th of November is just average. Drew 3 in a row v Chelsea, us and Spurs, lost to Villa, beat Luton 2-1 after being 1 down, drew with Palace, beat Everton after being a goal down, beat Newcastle with a very late winner and beat Burnley. A TLW XI would beat Burnley FFS. They don't seem to be scoring first like they used to and are struggling to dominate teams. This saved a lot of energy in previous years as they could knock it around after going 1 or 2 up early. I do not get that air of invincibility from them that they have had in the past and aside from Sheff U and Burnley, most other teams will go after them a bit. A repeat of their 10/14 game winning sequences isn't likely, if their performances continue as they have, IMO.
  16. They have 17 points from their last 16 games. The 6 points from the 6 games after Europe is not an anomoly, it's their norm
  17. Can we just stop with the De Zerbi love-in. Brighton have won 17 points in their last 16 league games, winning just 3. I know they have lost their 2 best midfielders since last season and are negotiating Europe, but they are in the middle of falling off a cliff. He could genuinely get the sack soon.
  18. That's why I said he is doing a good job. I just can't accept that he has been "successful"
  19. It's also handy when trying to recruit. As we've seen with Klopp, players will want to play for certain managers that have "it".
