  1. Klopp tried to sign Mané at Dortmund. He even met him but Mané felt Klopp was too "in your face" for Sadio's personality so went to Southampton instead.
  2. Pogba back in. If he had any sense he would play Matic and VDB when rotating McFred and bin Pogba off. He is leaving the club in the summer anyway and is a lazy bastard.
  3. It's like playing with 10 men when Spurs don't have the ball. Hard to carry a no. 10 that doesn't move in modern football
  4. They scored their 2nd and 3rd with a front 4 of Loftus-Cheek, Barkley, Hudson-Odoi and Havertz. I know they were playing fuck all but they are extremely well coached and are very hard to break down. They had Lukaku, Werner, Pulisic, Mount, Ziyech, Kante, Kovacic either on the bench or unavailable. They will be very hard to stop.
  5. I genuinely believe Kane's legs have gone. He is like Torres. Obviously he would score in a team like City with all the chances they create but he can't even get space these days. Levy should definitely have cashed in
  6. The only team we've beaten in the top 12 are the Mancs. We seem to be struggling to beat good/organised teams. As said in the podcast, we struggled to beat Milan and Atletico too. Need to tighten up at the back.
  7. Brian Horton - just another reminder of where Man City were before the oil money. Didn't he manage them in the 90s and play shit football along with shit results
  8. Just seems like that as they look strong on paper but only Walker and Gundogan played on Saturday and tonight. Fuck um
  9. Basically this is Ronaldo telling the rest of the players to keep running around and supply him with crosses so he can pad his stats until they get s manager he approves of
  10. Van Dijk is a great player but his injury did not derail our season last year. Even when Gomez joined him on the injury list and we were left with Matip and Fabinho at CB we won 6 and drew 3 in his absence. When Matip went off injured against West Brom and the whole season fell apart, we were top of the league with 31 points from 14 games, on course for 84 points. For the record City won the league with 86 points. If Salah was injured for a season I don't think we would compete for a title.
  11. Tells you all you need to know about the man that Stig has posted this about a former Rangers and Everton manager and Manchester United coach. Could have chosen better clubs but he was one of the good guys.
  12. Klopp shouted at the players to be sensible and definitely said "clean sheet". I'd say he saw we were down to 3 fit midfielders and just wanted to get the fuck out of dodge with the rest still walking.
  13. https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2021/oct/24/inept-weak-no-plan-humiliation-for-manchester-united-and-solskjr?utm_term=Autofeed&CMP=twt_gu&utm_medium&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1635109582
  14. Reminded me of Stevie's pass to Suarez - I think - in the rout of Fulham in Kenny's time.
  15. I heard a manager of a team that was promoted via the playoffs - could have been that bluffer Phil Brown actually - say one time that because of the extended previous season that the playoff winners usually start well due to their fitness but it falls off after Christmas.
  16. He used to do 3 goals in 6 minutes. That's what Everton does to a man
  17. He also said this so not altogether aware “Everton was the best team I played for by miles. But for the ban we would have probably won the European Cup because we were such a good side,” Lineker says. “I had no choice. Howard Kendall called: ‘We’ve accepted an offer.’ ‘Oh, OK.’ It was all a bit strange. He said we were too direct which was nonsense. I would have stayed and won loads.” The Everton he played with for a season won fuck all but they would have won the European Cup if they were allowed in Europe. How in the fuck does that compute?
  18. "He’s only been there five minutes but it’s already clear that Demarai Gray is too good for Everton. He could definitely play for a top half team. West Ham might even look at him as that’s a nice step up for him." Top top shithousing.
  19. I think Klopp said in the press conference that the short corner routine was something we had planned for but we just didn't defend it properly. So obviously Keita was the designated man to defend Lemar or that space. He just didn't do it correctly. You can see how he would be the one put out there as he is not great in the air, probably wouldn't win a second ball in the box and wouldn't threaten on the counter. It's bad when you can't even find a position for him when defending a corner.
  20. Honestly if the Geordies had the pick of the other 19 premier league managers to replace Bruce, Ole could genuinely come last in a fans vote. How is he still the Manchester United manager?
