Polsen Vs Lucas: Who should be in the first team?
LaurenceCrewe replied to WhiskeyJar's topic in FF - Football Forum
I just find it difficult to judge players on 4 league games, hence why i'm more than willing to give Poulsen time to adjust before i refer to him as ''possibly the world's worst "specialist" holding midfielder''- 103 replies

Polsen Vs Lucas: Who should be in the first team?
LaurenceCrewe replied to WhiskeyJar's topic in FF - Football Forum
I think if Poulsen can adapt to the pace of the league then we will have a good player for that position on our hands. I've saw glimpses (and i do mean glimpses) that make me believe he will come good for us I've also saw alot of shite but i'm going for the glass half full approach- 103 replies

Man of the match - Game 7 - West Bromich Albion - Home - PL

1. Torres 2. Kuyt 3. Poulsen -
Not great today by any stretch of the imagination but 3 points on the board, Kuyt seeming alot better in the role he plays for the Dutch and with two players comfortable on the ball (Cole and Meireles) and a proper left back to come into the starting 11, not just the 18, i'd say it's not all doom and gloom on the pitch

I always notice that Dirk is the only 1 of our players looking to run in at the keeper, anticipating a mistake, when we take a free kick on goal. He should be used up top or not at all for me as he obviously has the instincts and will always have a strike on goal when in or about the box

I'm happy Ngog kept his place, it should, hopefully, do wonders for his confidence

Aquilani appears to be a player, talented as he may be, to need the whole system to be based around him. Similar to Riquelme but half the talent I'd love nothing more, as everyone would, for him to come good but i'm not sure it will ever happen at our club or in this league even

It's judgment like this why Mancini will be gone by the new year

If we show the same fight we did against Stoke then I can really see us picking up the 3 points tonight That opinion may be blinded by the fact i really can't stand Spurs. Or it could be the media perception of Spurs Either way I don't like Spurs

Would This Be An Ideal Management Pairing ?
LaurenceCrewe replied to norwichlfc's topic in FF - Football Forum
I really have to take exception to this. Slightly off topic but in no way, shape or form can you base Pellergrino's playing career on the 6 months here He was an exceptional defender at his peak -
The best i've felt about a team selection in a while to be honest I'll go for 3-0, Gerrard 1st It is Christmas after all

Kuyt really need's to be took out the team. He simply isn't good enough to play week in week out in the position he does for Liverpool I don't believe Dirk is a good player who has poor spells, i believe he is a poor player who has good spells As mentioned before, it really isn't his fault he keeps getting picked and when does he will always try his best but his best does not appear good enough

I can sense this turning from "Do we rate McLeish" to "Who can replace Benitez" As usual
-
Agree totally. McLeish finished 3rd with Rangers which sums it up for me

I honestly wouldn't mind Emile but again, i'm not sure he suits the system Let's be honest, we won't change that no matter who we buy -
I heard this rumour 2 weeks ago from a mate who works down in the Radisson that he was staying there not in Rafa's I expect it to be bollocks, not that i would be surprised had he fell out with his 'lovely' wife

Keane is a player who NEEDS a partner up front So many times at us he didn't. I agree some of the chances he missed were woeful but he started snatching too much when one came along as it appeared his confidence was down Why he was ever played up front on his own is beyond me. Torres, Drogba, Adebayor are the types that can play that role perfectly. Keane is nothing like that type of player yet was still played to that type of system

Hello everyone I think the performance is vital today. Wolves at home is a game we can't even contemplate not winning but a Wigan type performance along with 3 points still won't cheer anyone up We really need to step it up today
