  1. I don't either. I've seen her podcasts with Joe Rogan and that doesn't come across at all. You have to have fuckloads of self belief though, otherwise you couldn't step in the ring/cage. She's certainly not as mouthy as some.
  2. Nah mate, I watched the weigh ins with some fighters we sponsor and they said she sounded too nervous with that speech after they shaped up. She didn't look like she believed the hype at all. I just don't think she was prepared for this type of fight and she knew it. She didn't have great conditioning either as you saw and everything got through and hurt her. I still thought Rousey would submit her, so I was wrong. But my boys called it right. They backed Holm to win.
  3. I think she knew it was her time at the weigh-ins. She seemed to have lost her cool big time. Fantastic fight though. Holm had her figured out with that left over and over again.. And that leg kick phwoaarr.
  4. I've had a love/hate relationship with it for a long time.
  5. It's going to be bittersweet when Henderson lifts the league trophy in May in what would be Gerrard's first year away from the club...
  6. Duly noted. Still gonna be boss.
  7. I'll be on the drink all day at Brisbane Klopptoberfest*, so I'll be in fine form by the time the game kicks off. *We're still allowed to use Klopp puns yeah?
  8. Third day in. Feeling pretty good. Funny that this thread popped up as my wife was bugging me to go Keto with her. She lost a bucket load last time she did it, and I lost a bit just from having no carb meals of an evening with her. Reading everyone's experiences has really helped me get into it though. My wife is a fitness instructor, and I smash myself pretty often in the gym and do martial arts, so hopefully we'll lose the extra kilos pretty quickly. It's just been good to get me off the crackers and stuff I eat when I'm sitting at my desk all day. A challenge in will power that I seem to be handling pretty well so far. I guess it's easy throughout the week... We'll see how I go tonight when I have to do without my beers. My main problem seems to be getting the fat portion up. My fat to protein ratio is pretty even. I'm thinking that's ok because I train in the gym, but I just don't feel like eating that much peanut butter haha. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to you all for sharing. I'll keep you posted.
  9. I think in a cruel twist of fate to arguably our greatest ever player, we'll win the league without him this season. Bittersweet.
  10. I know I'm in the minority, however I think we're actually going to do really well this year. We have a striker that can score goals. It's amazing what a difference that makes.
  11. The new album is so much better than I thought it would be. It's been my goto music since it's "pre release". I didn't think I'd get to hear new FNM again, I was so excited. I'm still waiting on my vinyl to arrive though. My only gripe with it, is it's not quite long enough.
  12. When my friend is in the manic stage of his bipolar, talking to him is exactly like reading a dennis tooth post really fast.
  13. I used to think they should pack it in before they go stale... and some should... But have you heard the new Faith No More album Sol Invictus? It stands boldly alongside their previous releases and I for one am so happy they didn’t just ring it in for the money. It's fucking awesome.
  14. I can't see us selling Wisdom. Not when we're playing 3 at the back. He fits that right sided place perfectly so could fill in for Can, or make the place his own.
  15. Sweet, got seats in the "kop" for this. Can't wait to get vocal. It's a much better place to watch a game of football than the MCG so it should be heaps of fun. I'll have the kids with me though, so unfortunately there'll be no strippers or casino for me.
  16. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-02-04/liverpool-confirms-adelaide-united-brisbane-roar-fixtures/6068692 Liverpool confirms Australia tour, will play Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar Updated 47 minutes agoWed 4 Feb 2015, 9:42am Premier League giant Liverpool has confirmed it will play A-League clubs Adelaide United and the Brisbane Roar in July as part of its preseason tour. The Reds will kick off their Australian tour against the Roar at Lang Park on July 17, before facing Adelaide United in Adelaide on July 20. It follows Liverpool's hugely successful tour Down Under in 2013, where it played against Melbourne Victory at a packed-out MCG. "We visited Australia for the first time two years ago and the support we received from our Australian fans was incredible," Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre said in a club statement. "Liverpool FC have more than 600,000 supporters in Australia and we look forward to meeting as many of them as possible while we are in the country." Liverpool's arrival will add to an already packed July of football for Australian audiences, with Manchester City playing Real Madrid and AS Roma in the friendly International Champions Cup tournament in Melbourne. However, Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will not be part of the trip as he leaves for MLS team LA Galaxy at the end of the season. Brisbane Roar managing director Sean Dobson said it would be a proud moment for the club to host Liverpool. "To be on the same field with Liverpool FC, one of the true giants of world football, reinforces Brisbane Roar’s standing as Australia’s premier football club," he said in a statement. "It will be a special night for all our members and fans as they cheer on the Roar against such legendary opponents playing on our home ground." South Australia's acting tourism minister Tom Koutsantonis says hosting Liverpool at Adelaide Oval is a coup for the state. "A stadium packed with Reds fans from throughout Australia and the world will be a magnificent showcase for the Adelaide Oval and South Australia," he said in a statement. "Such world-class sporting events are huge draw cards, and we also anticipate a global TV audience for the game, so it is the perfect platform to showcase Adelaide to the rest of the world."
  17. Hopefully Balotelli starts to get traction and has a goodyear with us. Also, with all this time out of the first team, he shouldn't tyre out too much in the second half of the season.
  18. This was the first time I watched him really closely due to the rumours and I couldn't fault him. I know it's only one game, but there was the weight of the national team on his back and he bossed it. Cahill will get the plaudits and rightly so. But if China score it's a different game.
  19. I know I spoke about it earlier in the thread, however after going to see Aus vs China last night, and really watching how he went about his game, I'd really love for us to get Mat Ryan at the club. Backup or not. His marshalling of the defence was awesome. He pushed them up so far up the field he was almost on the halfway line for large parts of the first half, and was super quick to get back and regroup when China broke fast as they did in the early stages. Then late in the second half he weathered a barrage of shots and pulled off some fantastic saves to keep a clean sheet and ensure Australia went through. I haven't seen replays of this though as I was down the other end. However it looked great from where I was seated. I may have been getting caught up with the occasion though...
