  1. The Brewdog beers are becoming popular now, Dead Pony Club is probably the best one out there. I'm more of a cider fan, Gwynt y Ddraig Black Dragon, is just an incredible cider, closely followed by Cotswold Cider Company's "No Brainer 500" or Thorn Brook Premium Craft Cider. Other notable mentions include: Adnams Ghost Ship Barry Island IPA Wincle Beer Co - Life of Riley The Hop Studio - Pilsner, Gold or Blonde Vedett Viru - an Estonian Beer Flensburger Pilsener Vickuler Pilsener
  2. I was speaking to some colleagues the other day who are Stoke season ticket holders, and they rate Begovic highly. Said he commands his area well, comfortable coming for crosses, which I don't think Pepe ever has been to be honest, and he organises his defence well, very vocal by all accounts.
  3. Been told today by an estate agent friend of mine, that they have been showing Di Matteo around some houses in Sandbach, South Cheshire. So that could either be Everton or Stoke.
  4. The 6 Nations trophy was brought to our work last Friday, so I had my picture taken with it. It was quite heavy for such a little trophy as well. A great feeling to pick it up though. The guy from the WRU that brought it round said that on the coach from the hotel to the ground before the match against England, the coaches had put together a motivational video for the players which was made up of the english players and press having a go at the Welsh team and their tactics.
  5. I agree with you about Coates. When we signed him, people were raving about him, he'd come off the back of a successful Copa America, and looked a promising player. I don't think he's been given a proper run in the team. You need that to really show what you are made of. I'm sure that at the back end of last season, there were a lot of people that wanted to see Coates being given a chance by Kenny, but it didn't happen. I know he's made a few mistakes, but haven't all players? I think a season loan would do him the world of good and then we could all see if he has the potential.
  6. It would be a shame to see him go, but his comments are very ambiguous. Meanwhile, a Bosnian paper is reporting that Begovic is on his way to us but he wants it all wrapped up by pre-season training.

  8. Rumours from a few Stoke fans that I know is that Steve Bould has got the job.
  9. My last gig was Samothrace, Bell Witch and a brilliant scouse band called Black Magician. Next up for me is Undersmile, Grimpen Mire, Ishmael and Bastard of the Skies on June 1st.
  10. When Costa opened a shop in the small town where I live, the local traders put up some banners slagging them off, very funny indeed. I'm not a fan of them myself, over priced shitty drinks, so we always use the local coffee shop to support them instead.
  11. I've booked holidays through Holiday Rentals, Villas, Holiday Apartments & Cottages | HomeAway, you deal directly with the owners of the villa or apartment, who sort out transfers etc. Then book the flights separately. Done this 4 times, Spain and Portugal, and never had a problem.
  12. Just been listening to Airbourne's new offering, very good indeed. What's everyone's opinion of Fugazi? I was listening to "Repeater" in the car this morning, and it really is one of the best albums of all time. I saw them back in 2000 at Manchester and they were just incredible.
  13. I've been impressed with Broderick both times I've seen him live, but always felt that Freidman had the edge over him. I'll have to check out his solo stuff and see what I think. I didn't realise Menza was a smackhead, what a waste of a talent.
  14. If they'd kept a consistent four members, from the Rust in Peace era, then I'd agree with this, but the changing of band members let them down.
  15. I think if Megadeth had kept both Marty Friedman and Nick Menza, then they could have been even bigger than they were. Rust in Pace was as awesome album, I remember buying the vinyl from Woolworths and just being blown away when I played it, but Metallica released the Black album around the same time, and went global, taming down their sound in my opinion, and it appealed to the masses, leaving Megadeth to pick up the pieces.
  16. Just so very sad about Jeff. First time I saw them was Clash of the Titans 1990 at the NEC, and they were just incredible. Last time I saw them with Jeff was at the Manchester Academy a few years ago before he got bitten by the snake. Such a brilliant guitarist and will be sadly missed.
  17. I saw this last night on Twitter, can't quite believe it. I grew up on Slayer, so have been blasting out Slayer in the car this morning and will be annoying the crap out of everyone at work by playing Reign in Blood and South of Heaven very, very loud. RIP Jeff
