  1. I don't think its fucked, but the cinema relies on "experiences" now more than ever in the face of Netflix etc to draw people in. Those films aren't cheap so its a much safer bet to pin it to an existing/classic IP's. I don't really blame them tbh even if the constant stream of Marvel/comic book reboots is irksome, I think there are early signs that people are starting to get fed up of it though post Avengers. You just have to look elsewhere to get your fix of "original" ideas. There's plenty out there arguably too much as most of it is shit, a quick scroll through Netflix will see to that.
  2. What a show, probably the best I've ever seen. Story executed to pretty much perfection, not sure I have any gripes with the show overall at any point. Maybe could argue it meandered slightly at around the start of season 3 but it would just be nit picking really. One of those shows that sits with you long after its finished.
  3. Blocks had 25 PGA tour starts its not exactly the tin cup story the PGA keep trying to push. The whole thing in general just comes off as forced and insincere. Played for the first time this year yesterday and shot 94, was really frustrating after putting in a fair amount of work over winter. I strike the ball well and I hit it more than long enough to play scratch but my course management is all over the shop and anything off line gets max punishment with the length I can hit it. Also can't putt to save my life even though my stroke is pretty decent, maybe it'll all just get better the more rounds I put in but hard to pinpoint what the exact issue is.
  4. How is actually possible to score it draw with 3 knockdowns and a two point deductions? He gave Okolie every round?
  5. What were Boxxer thinking in signing Okolie? Ridiculous decision.
  6. First time seeing Ball tbf so its only an initial impression, he looked decent but Lopez just looks on another level imo. Conlan can dig and Lopez barely blinked when he got caught, he's ridiculously strong.
  7. Would be fun while it lasts, but Lopez blitzes him.
  8. Lopez looked great, punches like freight train. Conlan is decent but always get the impression everything he does is at 150mph.
  9. Hugo's been an absolute star this season. "I am the droid you need"
  10. If the gravy faced dickhead sends the blue shite down he can chat as much shite as he pleases. Will be forever grateful.
  11. This season has been sensational, has barely missed a beat. Still need to rewatch that 3rd episode again, as good as anything I've ever seen.
  12. Joshua’s there for the taking, Franklin seems game tbf but just lacking the quality otherwise Joshua would be in trouble.
  13. Best opener they’ve done, was brilliant.
  14. Use it a lot at work (I’m a programmer) and find it very useful in giving high level explanations of concepts and basic templates to solutions. It’s just a tool though and I don’t buy into the dystopian doomerism around it all. Just more sophisticated googling in my case, find it very useful, but got to be careful not to over rely on it it’s not perfect.
  15. Problem for them though the boats have increased by about 10,000% over the past 5 years. Labour just need to keep hammering it home.
  16. For all the recent collapses and bemoaning of how shit we were at test cricket the Aussies still never managed to beat us at home. Not a chance they do it now against this team, there's nothing the Aussies are bringing that hasn't been seen already. They are a good side and it'll be a good series but can't see past anything other than a comfortable England victory.
  17. If Starmer walks into government with a 50 odd seat majority what inclination does he have to shift to the left in any way? Just don't see it and he's done nothing so far to suggest anything of the sort is likely. Economically I don't expect much to change at all under Starmer, same shit austerity we have currently maybe just branded a bit more palatable. I guess socially we'll see the biggest change with no more dog whistling to the right.
  18. I should clarify that there is obviously an element of stupidity involved but more often than not it's driven by just being a selfish cunt more than anything else.
  19. There's no chance Starmer loses it from here, it will take an implosion of epic proportions for that to happen. There are economic problems bigger than the Tories on top of all the baggage that they bring, they will not be able to put money back in peoples pockets fast enough and that is all that ultimately matters, not a couple of hack jobs in the press on Starmer. As much as people convince themselves on here, the general public aren't really that stupid. Spiteful, hateful and selfish? Yeah I think that is fair but they're not that dumb and they won't put up with rising prices and mortgages and the damage has been done with Truss's budget.
  20. Boxings been absolute shite post COVID, not sure why there's been such a recent downturn. Domestically at least the spilt of Sky and Hearn has diluted the pool of fighters which hasn't helped, but its been shit internationally as well. Think I can count on one hand the amount of decent fights over the past two years or so. I'll watch the Paul shitshow to be fair. He's put more into the sport than that fraud Fury, hope he sparks him clean out I can't stand any of them dickheads.
  21. England’s batting is now on another level to anything else in world cricket. Combine that with the bowling which has always been quality there’s no one out there apart from India away on a dust bowl and possibly Australia away that can compete. Incredible turnaround and I was someone who was against Stokes as captain but it’s proved to be a masterstroke.
  22. Yeah, definitely taking the piss, knows no one will pull him up on it, but it doesn't effect anyone apparently so just got to nod along with it all whilst thinking what a twat.
  23. Makes sense to torpedo Corbyn out the party now given the lead in the polls is huge, him and his followers aren’t needed. Will give a more unified party if anything. The left of the party will always sabre rattle from the side lines regardless of if Corbyn was in the party or not. Should be more unified and easier to handle now though now without Corbyn as a lightning rod for all the baggage he brings.
