  1. I'm still not convinced they will get more than 25. They've barely got any senior players available.
  2. Opting out? They don't have a choice! The massive majority of people that are homeless are either suffering from mental illness or have been through a major life trauma. The rise in tent cities is being caused by the growing gap in wealth inequality. Living in a tent and getting off your nut all day is a symptom, not a cause.
  3. Remember during Covid when they actually did manage to solve homelessness. Then as soon as the virus levels started to drop down they sent them straight back to the streets again!
  4. I said quite early on in the season that I couldn't see any of the promoted teams getting more than 20 to 25 points and that looks very likely. Sheffield United are woeful. Burnley are shite and Luton are shite and absolutely ravaged with injuries. They genuinely couldn't have wished for a better season to get multiple points deductions in.
  5. Ultravox song writer and guitarist Chris Cross has gone aged 71. It means nothing to me, points wise though. Also I had Jonnie Irwin and replaced him with Esther Rantzen.
  6. I keep forgetting about Van den Berg. I wonder if we'll try and cash in on him after a good loan season or give him a chance here. I think he'll count as a home grown player too.
  7. Had loads of problems with injuries and had two disappointing loans at Preston and Bolton where he's barely played. Don't think he'll ever get close to playing for us.
  8. Another factor is, if we 'announce' Nagelsmann, he goes in to the Euros in his home country with the entire nation knowing that he's not sticking around. If they have a nightmare tournament and get knocked out early he'll inevitably get loads of shit from German fans saying things like he'd taken his eye off the ball and obviously wasn't fully concentrating on the job etc. Well get shit loads of 'top banter' about hiring a shit manager. It just doesn't feel right to me to be committing to two high profile, high pressure jobs at the same time.
  9. Completely agree with you on the point about Everton and United. Its part of the reason we were shit too under previous managers. Whoever we bring in is going to have to accept being part of a transfer committee though, and using the example of Ait Nouri replacing Robertson, that probably would have happened anyway even if Klopp had stayed. I'm not sure Robertson will have much longer here because of his high energy style declining in his 30's. Overall the squad is in really good shape though and there's only really three or four players that need replacing in the next few years.
  10. I know it will be sorted before then, but It means Nagesmann could potentially be focusing on the Euro's until the 14th of July. I want the new manager in, and solely focusing on us in the summer, not messing about with International shite. If he was some Klopp like figure I'd be more prepared to wait but he isn't so on that basis I want somebody that is ready to start here as soon as possible.
  11. "Cadena Ser in Spain has reaffirmed claims from outlet Sport (via Sport Witness) that Liverpool have made contact with Real Madrid over Rodrygo. The Brazilian was instrumental against Athletic Club over the weekend with a brace, yet could be deemed surplus to requirements this summer with the likely signing of Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer, in addition to teenage wonderkid Endrick linking up this summer. It's believed that Los Blancos want €100 million for Rodrygo's signature. A plethora of Premier League clubs are said to be interested but intriguingly, the 23-year-old may be a replacement in the long-term for Mohamed Salah, having forged a niche on the right-wing during his time at the Bernabeu"
  12. It's so bizarre! She seems to genuinely think that she's some modern day Che Guevara sticking it to the system with her posts!
  13. Nagelsmann is a non starter for me as he'll be focused on the Euro's all summer. Replacing Klopp is a big enough ask, and even harder if you only have around five weeks before your first league game.
  14. Really good podcast! Regarding the title, I'm in exactly the same place as you @Chris It's only really hit me this weekend that might actually win this fucking thing. I've been in denial for the most of the season, but now I'm getting the weird mix of fear/excitement going in to every game!
  15. £35 million rising to 55 looks an absolute bargain when you look at some of the dross signed for that amount or more.
  16. We could do with City and Arsenal getting through then playing each other in the Champions league. I can't see City winning all of there games including cups from here. They aren't at the same level of the last few years.
  17. Feels like Arsenal will nick this. The City back five must be one of the worst they've put out in recent years.
