Can we have a discussion about Trent a logical one . Something has happened either with himself or with team tactics leaving him bemused, confused and generally lost as to what he should be doing . More worring is he is not vocal at barking out orders to the midfield who are plainly not helping him out nor is the leader of our defence giving organisational advice. All the mistakes are manifesting themselves through Trent and I cannot put my finger on it I was hoping our highly paid analysis team us senior players would shed some light on it. Milner has played there this season so should have a pretty good idea of what trent is experiencing. He has not be one a bad player or a good defender overnight . Where is the help from the backroom or on the pitch . You know what same goes for Nunez everyone pointing out how he does not "fit" what are we going to do to make him fit. We have form on this we bought Collymore without a plan and took 2 years to work out his best position . These two guys are the future of our team we need to start showing how we are going to adapt to their strengths rather than getting them to improve on their weaknesses.

Watched a good bit of villa last year Luis certainly looked the part early on in the season . Sort of player who can make things tick for other good players. Potential to be a Gini type player for us but not sure he has the same physicality. Like him if good value would take him . Fact is we had 50 m to spend on a midfielder that should be by now the starter while phasing out Henderson and Milner . All about succession planning and we went all in on this dud . Promised a hybrid of Souness/Gerard and got a Smicer/Biscan levels of hope, performance and disappointment over and over . That’s why I hate him he has set our midfield back 5 years . Also will put it here for prosperity and I hope to hell I am wrong but I don’t get it with Elliott another bits and pieces player and I doubt will be a starter. The good news is even I haven’t a clue what Makes a good player or not ffs instead of Keita I would have been all in for Delli Ali or Madison at best . I am not the greatest spotter of youth talent but I see enough in Jones to give me hope. As you say when he looks around at what his peers achieved last year he will be disappointed with his own contribution for ourselves.
