  1. I don’t want to see Manchester City engraved on that trophy. End of.
  2. PSG were always going to need 3, they still do and can let City have another one and still go through. Next goal will be massive. City’s to lose though.
  3. Couple of years ago I was in a pub in Chester with a mate who’s a City fan (2006/07 pre oil money) and United were playing Chelsea in the FA cup final. His B-I-Law is a United fan, from Newcastle, who claimed he was born in Bandit country and then moved north and this gave him the right to be a United fan and he had come with us. He was in the pub with us but him and his United “mates” were giving it all the Murderers shit etc., probably for my benefit, but given the game was nothing to do with us, I couldn’t get over the anti-scouse bile and I pulled him over it. His answer was that it was what they always sang and always had since he’d started supporting them. He was probably 30 then. Turns out he was born in Leigh, not Manchester, and when Drogba scored that goal right at the end of that final, he walked out leaving his pint and by the time we got back to his house, he’d gone to bed and refused to come down until we’d gone. The City fan is sound, old style city fan, he’s uncomfortable with their ownership but to be fair has admitted he likes them winning stuff and there was no other way they were ever going to be able to do so. Found out later on he’d given the United fan a slap, for being a cunt in the pub, the next day. Don’t know any United fans who come from the shithole itself.
  4. Lineker never criticises them, ever. Neither does Osman, Nevin, et al, whereas ex-Liverpool players are noted for taking the anti-biased stance to extremes. Yet the supporters of moral high horse fc have convinced themselves that the BBC, Sky, BT, The Echo and pretty much every media outlet are, to a man (or woman) biased towards us and against them. The Powers That Be indeed. Nut jobs.
  5. I’ve just done the maths for this (not my strong point!) and if you take the league games where we would’ve gained a point or points by scoring one extra goal it works out at 24 points. That’s second place, a point ahead of United.
  6. Totally agree. Has to be one of the weirdest signings we’ve ever done. I think it’s been well proven that we need Fabinho in midfield and pretty much anyone else in currently alongside Kabak. I expected Davies to be given a chance at some point as I thought he was preferable to Williams and been brought in for that reason.
  7. This whole shitfest has meant any half arsed knob, like Lineker, who have any grudge against the six teams, but seemingly us in particular, has a free pass to take the piss or say pretty much anything they want that’s derogatory. In all the games I watched over the last weekend there was at least one snide comment relating to the ESL and aimed at those who were involved. Over the last three seasons in particular, most of the time, we’ve given them no place to go with criticism and they’ve had to clench their teeth and give praise when, I suspect, that’s the last thing they’ve wanted to do. So from now on and for the foreseeable future, we’ll be the enemy of the people, and we’d best get used to it.
  8. Didn’t like that Salah walked off yesterday shaking his head, looked a right “fuck this” moment to me.
  9. I hope city never win the CL and would prefer almost anyone else (Everton excepted,(stop laughing at the back!)) to win it before them. Its the one thing that their owners brought Guardiola in for, expecting they’d win it before now I expect, and it’s the one thing the owners, manager and fans want more than anything else. So fuck them, let them have the League, the FA cup and League cup, they’ve paid for them already, keep the CL out of their grubby hands and keep them boiling their piss that we have six already and got the last one only two seasons ago.
  10. Having complained enough about our finishing lately, I could see this being one of those games that everything we hit goes in, a bit like the Palace game. I know that’s flying in the face of reason and current form but it would be just like us to dick them 4-2. Then lose the next one at home. We have to start Fabinho in midfield though, regardless.
  11. If there were one person in the whole club that you shouldn’t be levelling the claim that he doesn't care it would be Klopp. He has made dodgy decisions this season, he has looked devoid of ideas and passion at times. But he has set the team up game after game and they have gone out and dominated possession, had more shots and chances against those teams, in spite of the injuries we’ve had and yet still managed to not win games they should have. The players, particularly the forwards, are responsible for where we are because they haven’t taken the chances presented to them. You add a goal extra to all our performances this season and see where we would be in the league in particular, nobody would be complaining this much then.
  12. Finishing is beyond a joke now, this is a real problem.
  13. Bruce fancying his chances here. We need that second goal.
  14. Think Klopp has decided just to go for this, but finishing has been so woeful. Would be nice to think there’s a few being saved for the United game.
  15. Is there a team in world football that wastes as many clear cut chances as we do? Fucking atrocious finishing. Its this that has cost us most this season.
  16. The Catcher in the Rye First edition cover The Catcher in the Rye is a novel by J.D. Salinger. It was originally intended for adults but is often read by adolescents for its themes of angst, alienation and as a critique on superficiality in society. The novel's protagonist, Holden Caulfield, has become an icon for teenage rebellion. The novel also deals with complex issues of innocence, identity, belonging, loss, connection, sex, and depression. Hmmm. Our friendly GOT poster couldn’t pick something lighter for an internet alias?
  17. From what I’ve heard I thought it was a victory for High Horse FC? Moshiri calling for all 6 to be docked points, so if you take, say, 9 points off them, that’ll leave the Moral Guardians of the game in a straight fight with West Ham (who will likely fuck up more than the Bloos before the end of the season) for a place in the CL behind City, United & Leicester. How convenient. As I’ve been saying for days now, hypocrisy rules everything.
  18. Dr Troy, you’re letting facts get in the way of a story there, steady on hey?
  19. Herbert by name, Herbert by nature, writing for the Daily Xenophobe and having a dig at Liverpool, while ignoring the other 5 clubs owners who also signed up for the shitfest too. How fucking original.
  20. I find that people I have met who visit the city, and surrounding areas (Wirral, Southport etc.) often will say how their perception of the place and people have been changed by actually coming and seeing it for themselves. That more than suggests that there is a pre-determined view of what it’s like here and how the people are. Hardly surprising given the coverage in the media that is often biased against it all. The perception hasn’t been helped by the relatively small number of idiots that, unfortunately, get a disproportionate amount of media coverage and outrage when they offend. The establishment, particularly the right wing, have allowed and encouraged the bias and this has led to many taking the easy and lazy route of just seeing the place as tarnished. It doesn’t help either that the bile emanating from such sites as GOT strengthens the negativity. Sure there are knob heads and crooks, scallies and crime, but there are everywhere.
  21. Hypocrisy rules. Those claiming “victory” in this are the ones who instigated the start of it in1992, this was an extension of their greed and craving for power, but it was leaving them adrift and the clubs in charge, but as usual the knuckle draggers and morons from the dross believe they’ve bloodied our nose and, somehow, it’ll be all Liverpool’s doing before too long, whether that’s true or not. I don’t like the way it was formulated but I wouldn’t mind betting it’s not the last we’ve heard of this, the genies out of the bottle and, probably, won’t want to be put back in despite the climb down. As for our owners, we’ll they’ve stepped over a line again and frankly aren’t likely to be forgiven. That, though, hasn’t worried them in the past and won’t going forwards. Perhaps they’ll sell because City, PSG, Chelsea etc., can pretty much do as they please and that’ll leave us falling behind which, effectively, will reduce the clubs worth. Our stock is still high and they may want to sell before that changes.
  22. This is a government that believes in the kind of shit the ESL was trying to pull. Their ethos is exactly the same, protect the rich and powerful who then give them funds to keep on protecting the rich and powerful. The only reason they’ve come out and condemned it was because potentially some of their paymasters stood to lose out financially. There’ll be no German model in this country, it doesn’t suit them.
