  1. Szoboslai could be a monster for us I think, Mac Allister looks a very competent and accomplished player, Konate was very good, I hope he can steer clear of injuries, Allison did what was necessary and made no mistakes, thankfully, he does that a lot and very well. For a little while we looked ace, but then fell away, similar to the Real Madrid game at home last season but without our arses being handed to us. The deficiencies were there for all to see, we can only hope they are being addressed because if not, then what are we playing at?
  2. That’s a sad piece of news. 26 is no age and I only hope he’s not a young dad. In the wonderful world of social media there’ll always be some warped blerts who try to get themselves noticed, it’s a sorry indictment of the world in which we live in unfortunately. I’m sure Everton will have a fitting tribute to the young man. RIP
  3. If he goes that would be the mother of all clear outs. Surely too late in the day to even consider a massive bid, it’ll drive costs even higher for us to replace him and any other positions we’re thinking of replacements for. Hopefully he’ll be back to normal, maybe after Klopp and van Dijk have a word.
  4. VAR is a good idea, if it is implemented and controlled correctly. It should be a tool that assists the game in a positive way. Once you let incompetent, at best, or corrupt, at worst, humans dictate how it is used it might as well be switched off, as there are enough incompetent, at best or corrupt, at worst, humans on the pitch making decisions already. I’m not going to pontificate how it should be used, there are sufficient, professional, people in the game to be able to work that one out, but I would have though ex-footballers might be involved somewhere down the line, and/or perhaps referees/officials who could be classed as independent to reduce any bias.
  5. Agree with the main thrust of the post though.
  6. Lavia was a Southampton player no? Or have I misunderstood.
  7. Having no CL football might prove more of a stumbling block than first thought if we want a top quality DM. Being seemingly incompetent at dealing in transfers won’t help either. Can only hope there’s actually stuff going on behind the scenes to rectify the situation. Wonder what Henry was doing over at the weekend?
  8. Brighton hold firm and get an extra £15m, Southampton do the same and get an extra £10m. We’re really fucking amateurs at this transfer lark aren’t we?
  9. Neither do the cunts who run football, and it’s their rules.
  10. Yes. Strangely not arsed. Obviously want to web these twats all over the shop, but certainly a level of interest much lower than a normal season starter. Must be getting old(er).
  11. Once again we are looking like we’re going to be hoping for no injuries to key players, (unless Henry being here is the portent of some better news. Not holding my breath though.). That’s never worked out in the past and it would be utter folly to rely on it again. The Caicedo farce has shown we’ve been done up like a kipper, probably by agents looking for more money, rather than the player himself. I have great faith that most players are fairly thick twats who just sign where the “x” is when they are told. Up until that broke, we’d made changes where they needed to be made and pre-season was going pretty well. Midfield was looking more dynamic and the forwards were scoring goals. Defensively we still looked in need of improvement but that improvement may, or may not, have been in the offing. I guess we never know these things really until they actually happen, that’s how it used to be and how, I hope, it will be in the future. With all the shite of the last week or so it’s easy to be dispirited but taking a step back from that, I think we’ll improve on last season but not enough to stop City picking up another hollow title.
  12. We should keep our bid in and then, if it turns out to be successful, have him fail the medical for an ingrowing toenail or some other such fluff. Also, Klopp could do worse than to grab Henry and the suits while they’re at the game today and tell them he’s had enough of their fucking about and just leave half a dozen signed blank cheques behind for him on their way back to the airport. This farce needs to be ended today with a win against these cockney tossers, put them right in their place the plastic knuckle dragging entitled twats.
  13. Love it if we threw a £50m bid to Southampton tonight for Lavia and he fucks Chelsea off, and also leave the Caicedo bid on the table.
  14. Matt Law ( don’t ask me if he’s reliable) from earlier, saying we have outbid Chelsea for Caicedo. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwipkOz95dKAAxXKUEEAHawDA24QglR6BAgNEAU&url=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FMatt_Law_DT%2Fstatus%2F1689580913858863104%3Fref_src%3Dtwsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet&usg=AOvVaw13IafwtKuOUmgKgzR4ELCq&opi=89978449
  15. Dragged shopping yesterday, was a nice day though to be fair, bit of sunshine, four or five grown men wearing Everton shirts, the usual scenario with a week or so to go to the start of a new season. Shirts will be back in the bottom drawer by the end of September no doubt.
  16. City will buy it off and pay for Everton too, just to piss everyone else off.
  17. And every other manager in the Premier League I suspect.
  18. Fabinho was fucking ace. Sadly it’s the was bit that is relevant now. Lovely leaving words. Best of luck Fab, and thanks.
  19. Just pick Mbappe, Mo and Alisson and any 8 others. Sorted.
  20. Not going to happen. Fucking hilarious if it did. Imagine the fume, and not just from the Ev. Every fucker gazumped just before the season kicks off.
  21. I’m not advocating players going to the Saudi league, but maybe we should remember that in the cases of Henderson and Fabinho, they’ve pretty much won all there is to win in England with the Premier League, the two domestic cups and Champions League, plus the extra trinkets of the World Club Cup, Charity Shield and European Super Cup.
