  1. No chicken counting for me. I'll use the classic 'One game at a time' line. Do think that has merit though. I mean, how many times in an EPL season do you see the leaders dropping points in 5(?) home games, and their challengers doing exactly the same.
  2. Strontium Dog does have a fair point, we have seen countless managers go against their word it was seem as soon as money is thrown about. Can't remember Benitez doing it much, though. I know Dossena is a liability and all, but I can't put my finger on anyone who we could bring in at LB in his place, either on a transfer or loan
  3. I do feel sorry for Crouch really. The man was always professional about it, but he just wanted to play week in week out, which we obviously couldn't give him. Can't blame a guy for that, really. Truly gone tits up for him now and that's a shame.
  4. It doesn't all the time, no, but the virus might have been created due to a program being installed and run. If a system restore is done and said program is not installed, then the virus will not re-appear and re-install after it's been removed, should the user run the program it came from again. Of course, this has the possibility to open a hole in the space time continium etc
  5. Indeed. I choose to go for one over both because I don't believe our squad can handle 2 gung ho's for them. Then again, don't know which squad I'd say does have the depth, per sé. The double is a pretty rare thing after all. Guess it's just not being greedy. 19 will suffice!
  6. "Milan want Pennant" Enough reason to disregard this article, apart from the fact the Yanks have had their bacon saved, which, let's be honest, everyone knew they'd get an extension on. If Pennant goes to any Milan club, hell, any club in Italy, I'll shag a horse and post the proof
  7. Totally see your point there, Red. It's just that, with the way the game is going, I can't honestly see the FA Cup in any other way, at the moment. Ideally, I'd say "Don't care" for this year and get the league, then return to caring again. But, I hope you get what I'm concerned about. Saying that, I'm with WaltonRed. I can honestly see us winning both.
  8. I'd say if you're quite into media editing, movies, photos etc. - then I'd prompt for a Mac, definately. Likewise with gaming, I'd go for Windows. Other than that, you'll be fine either way (so long as you can keep your Windows protected properly)
  9. Well, gave Coop a PM and followed the instructions given. And now I've just finished playing a nice bit of Mario kart downloaded (after my original copy broke, of course) Thank you very much!
  10. Do you have any idea as to when the problem started appearing? If you do, you can probably do a System Restore to the day before to apply the fixes that have already been mentioned in this thread.
  11. Would love to hear/read your definition of a transitive verb, Simon. Any knowledge of yours that extends outside of Football Manager will truly amaze me.
  12. "Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who shall not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom" Being a child when Fowler was first here, and a heartbroken one when he left, his return was brilliant for me. That and, come on, the man had a great scoring ratio in that half season when no one expected it.
  13. Only difference is that Insua actually has talent and Bentley is a cunt.
  14. Perhaps he never settled here? If the money that has been quoted has actually been offered then I'd have to say it's a good deal - regardless of the buy back clause. I do believe he had a lot of potential, but in all honestly, I can't see it being a massive loss to us. If in 5 years he's banging them in and winning international trophies, feel free to lash me 40 times.
  15. It's time to admit this: The FA Cup means fuck all compared to number 19. The 'magic of the FA Cup' is nothing more than a media play nowadays, it's never been more ever since Man Yoo fucked off to South America in 2000. As much as we'd like it to be more and to rekindle the days of old, and I'm sure we all do, it just is not. Add that to the fact that, for the first time in absolute donkeys, we can win this league, and be the best team in England - I personally couldn't give a flying toss about the FA Cup this year. Hell, I'd even let Everton win that 2nd rate trophy (as much as it pains me to say it) if it meant 3 points against them in the league - even without the guarantee of winning it. It's the league, the league and the league, for 2009. Anything else is just a distraction, and even if those cunts over the park want to bask in a rare victory in the cup, I say let them. Judge it on the league, and nothing but. (Except for 2005 *cough* - But then again, the FA hardly ranks next to the CL)
  16. To put it this into perspective, I actually find myself agreeing with the Daily Hate Mail
  17. I'm obviously annoyed, but I don't think we should stop him going. We all know how passionate the Argentines are when playing for their country, at any level. Plus the fact that this seems to be the only tournament Argentina win. Is Di Santo of Chelsea going? Would love to see him go and then for Drogba/Anelka/Both to get crocked on Sunday
  18. Now now, that's not fair. I think everyone here sees him as useless.
  19. Indeed, Virgin tends to do that. It advertises itself as Unlimited* broadband, with the catch being their 'fair use' policy.
  20. Any chance of some physio, pre match?
  21. "will be away until February 8 meaning he won't be available for this weekend's game with Stoke, the double header with Everton, the trip to Wigan or the Anfield clash with Chelsea." Oh come off it! I think this might depend on who Rafa wants to risk more, Aurelio or Skrtel. If Aurelio, then it's like for like obviously. If it's the Slovak demi-god then he might keep Carra at right back and put Arbeloa left. He played Carra right back for the Arsenal quarter final second leg, didn't he? Probably for the Adebayor aerial threat. And considering we'll be up against him again, Drogshit, Stoke's miriad of 6ft-ers and possibly Heskey - Rafa might opt for that again.
  22. Do you reckon? I thought it was more to do with Murphy really. Can't say I found Bullard anything better than 'effective'. I don't know, maybe I'm missing something.
  23. ...At least I have chicken! Now my warcrafting habit is out I need to make another admission. I made a massive error in my post. Sky is through cables after all, not through the dish. You'll be happy to hear the person who told me otherwise is now sleeping with a horse's head... You can get satellite broadband (Eurosat), though, just not with sky. And from what I hear, it's pretty awful. But as previously mentioned, if you tell them you're leaving, you can probably swindle a great deal for your connection (bit like a phone contract, I'd guess). I've heard Virgin broadband isn't too bad either.
