    I totally agree with you, though I do remember that a rubbish paper had a story about Giggs about to be sold as he'd tried to/or had been with one of him team mates girlfriends/wives at the time. I remember him being around the age of 29 and the rumour was he'd be off to Inter Milan. It was probably all rubbish but the story was definitely there, if only for a day.

    Surely we didn't pay £3.5m and the two young lads for Konchesky? I was under the impression they made up the bulk of the cost and we only paid a small amount extra.

    I'm sure he wants that to be true too, but I have a horrible feeling that he'll eventually be told to accept something lower than he wants. Personally, if the rumours are true and he's refused to play, i'd fine him the maximum we can and throw him in the reserves. If he's done that he's ruined everything he's ever done for the club in my eyes and shouldn't just get his own way when he demands.

    I would have Lucas in ahead of Poulsen for this as I think he needs a bit longer to get up to speed with us, bit of a risk for me after his performance against Trabzonspor.

    I to enjoy watching the Sunday Supplement when I was younger and clearly more naive, but whenever I have it on anymore it really annoys me. I only caught a short part today, about Capello and England, but had to switch it off. They said something about how the supporters have lost faith in the England team or something and all I could think of is that I must have been the only football fan to not get their questionnaire about the England team as obviously they'd asked all the others. I suppose this applies most journalism but it just really annoys me that these are the people who decide what most of the public think, by writing headlines and making the naive who read them believe this is how everybody feels. I don't care at all about England and Fabio Capello, just hope our players come back injury free when they get selected, but I get annoyed when they write about the fans and public in general as if they know what they're thinking instead of telling them what they should think. Anyway, I don't pay a great dal of attention to individual journalists, but as far as I can recall, Woolnough isn't one of the worst, but thaat's just me.

    I've never been a fan of Hleb, and he's another that always seems to be injured too. I think Barcelona have other players that they could see as disposable and we could use better than Hleb.

    If Babel was to play up front then he'd need a partner for me, but I doubt we'll ever see that.

    I'd have a look at Connor Wickham for what i'd expect to be around £6m - £8m, using the other few quid we may have on other areas.

    Is it possible that RBS are denying that they're in talks to sell the club because that's the truth, as RBS don't own the club, they just own the debt, and so their statement is factually correct? Or am I way off the mark?

    I think most in general are reported as undisclosed these days aren't they, with 'sources' saying the fee is believed to be X amount.
