  1. I for one thing we should bin Klopp of and bring in George Graham. For far too long have we been in the shadow of our neighbours in bloo, we need to rise up from our mid table mediocrity.
  2. Lost all respect for him when he swore on his child's life he had touched the ball to score a goal when even from multiple angles the ball doesn't change direction or even spin in a slightly different way. I dont think he is a brilliant player, I think he is a good goalscorer when the team sets up to play to him but he's not elite level that the English media claim him to be.
  3. No need to cough, it was a batshit crazy statement at the time and is not with hindsight ridiculous. I want signings as much as the next person but there is obviously a reason why Jurgen doesn't. Whether that's he want.to prove he is cleverer than the rest or he has faith in the youngsters coming through and genuinely doesn't want to block their paths.
  4. To show them the grass isn't always greener and be careful what you wish for.
  5. Really disappointed last night, couldn't believe how low his socks were, fucks sake man pull your socks up. You'll wouldn't see virg strutting around with his socks round his ankles.
  6. Southgate would have to be the dream, hopefully they write this season off and just Keep Ole at the wheel till the summer. Then the tactical goliath that is Southgate can take over and we are given another 3 years of entertainment. This would be as funny as give it Giggsy, and hopefully after 2 years of GS all the assault stuff has gone away and they can give it Giggsy when Southgate goes tits up.
  7. I heard this bandied around alot at the time, from what I remember they had just sold Lewandowski (comtract ran out) and replaced him with immobile, alot of players came back from the world Cup injured or not fit. Its no coincidence that once he got his first 11 fit that they climbed the table. You do have to remember that every year that Dortmond team got raided for their best players and they had to find another cog to fit the machine, maybe the lewandowski one was a cog too far. Also maybe the reason above is why Klopp is happy to not have to keep adding players to the team and happy to go with what he's got unless he sees someone outstanding that would enhance the team no end.
  8. At a club like Ajax they are always building with the idea of selling on a major asset but they is a proper football philosophy and structure. At utd he'd get none of that and once one or two of the big time Charlie's have their noses put out about having to actually work his job would become untenable. The funny thing is they do actually need to start again and build from the ground up but their board probably don't want to admit it because "they're Man Utd" and they would have to admit they have been fucking it up for the last 9 or 10 years even going back to the latter stages of Ferguson.
  9. Ajax are coached to play like that all the way through their academy. He would probably find it difficult to replicate that at UTD before loosing his job. Their central defence is too slow to play the high line that he likes.
  10. Why pay 160m for him when he's out of contract at the end of the season.
  11. Watching the martian now, love this film.
  12. They won't be shopping as far down the basement bin as we will.
  13. I think awful is a bit hyperbolic, he worked hard but wasn't able to show his creativity.
  14. Its good to see they are putting alot of miles on a near 37 year old so early in the season, the more it wears on the less effective he will become. Once he starts having to bench him for games is when the fireworks will start.
  15. Not really as no koppites live in the city, like me they live elsewhere and its impossible to have them in and out of the city.
  16. This was costed out about 6 years ago, due brexit and covid raw materials are probably about 50 to 60% more expensive now, on top of that there will be delay after delay as covid is not going away anytime soon. If they build it they will either fold or Usmanov will have to step out of the shadows as even with success City cannot fill their stadium in most games. Apart from having a new stadium I dont see any upsides from the blue perspective. But then again I've never looked the the blue delusion goggles that they all seem to wear.
  17. They still reported a net loss of over £92m, they also took a loan out to pay for this years transfers. The big difference between them and Arse ot Tottenham is that they can easily afford to eat up the loan repayments without affecting their long term spending. Once everything is back to normal this will be a drop in the ocean for them.
  18. Big Divs contract runs till 2024 doesn't it?
  19. I thought he did well when we were all over them, as soon as they got a foothold in the game he disappeared, its his lack of fight and determination which hinder him not his ability.
  20. You guys horsing around, if you do it fur long then it will stirrup some bad responses.
