Lost all respect for him when he swore on his child's life he had touched the ball to score a goal when even from multiple angles the ball doesn't change direction or even spin in a slightly different way. I dont think he is a brilliant player, I think he is a good goalscorer when the team sets up to play to him but he's not elite level that the English media claim him to be.

At a club like Ajax they are always building with the idea of selling on a major asset but they is a proper football philosophy and structure. At utd he'd get none of that and once one or two of the big time Charlie's have their noses put out about having to actually work his job would become untenable. The funny thing is they do actually need to start again and build from the ground up but their board probably don't want to admit it because "they're Man Utd" and they would have to admit they have been fucking it up for the last 9 or 10 years even going back to the latter stages of Ferguson.

Ajax are coached to play like that all the way through their academy. He would probably find it difficult to replicate that at UTD before loosing his job. Their central defence is too slow to play the high line that he likes.

This was costed out about 6 years ago, due brexit and covid raw materials are probably about 50 to 60% more expensive now, on top of that there will be delay after delay as covid is not going away anytime soon.
