  1. Didn't John Barnes do his achilles playing for England? He was never the same after that, he lost his pace in the first 5 yards which eventually resulted in him moving from the left to the centre of midfield. I read about it in his autobiography but it was a few years ago so can't remember what he exactly says about it.
  2. I loved Bottom Live 2, used to watch the video all the time. Not seen it for years but I can probably still remember every word. The wombles episode was class by the way, definitely the best one they ever did.
  3. Robbie Keane is fucking ace, I've always wanted him to sign for us. He'd be a top Number 7.
  4. Oasis at Bolton in 2000 was my first, maybe that's why it's also my favourite/best that I've been too.
  5. Oasis at Bolton in 2000 was amazing and The Libertines in Manchester in 2004 were fucking ace. It was the full line up with Pete Doherty still playing with them, just before they split. Morrissey at the MEN a few years ago was mint as well.
  6. England won't qualify, they've got no chance. McClaren should pick players in their correct positions and at least give himself a chance.
  7. I'm going in August for a long weekend on a stag do, can't wait.
  8. Anyone kissing the badge on their shirt pisses me off. Lampard does it all the time even though he was brought up a West Ham fan. Fuck off you fat twat.
  9. On Five Live tomorrow night from 7, just saw an advert for it on BBC2.
  10. I don't drink during the week but I do most Fridays. Normally a bottle of red and a couple of cans. I drink all day most Saturdays, usually start around 12 and finish between 10 and 15 hours later. It takes me ages to recover from that now, which is why I don't drink during the week anymore.
  11. They should try to mirror the set up of the first team leagues to make reserves football competitive. Say from next season there are 4 reserves leagues (as every English club must have a reserve team) that are all the same as the top 4 divisions then take it from there, having promotion and relegation each season. They could limit overage (for want of a better word) players to 3 or 4 which would ensure that it is mostly young players getting the experience of a competitive league but it would allow first team players recovering from injury to get a game. All this regionalising of leagues is obviously not working and is doing English football as a whole no good at all.
  12. I think Defoe would be a good signing for us, he's an out and out goal scorer which is exactly what we need. I think he'd score shed loads in our team and we could probably get him as Jol doesn't seem to be his biggest fan.
  13. It's a funny story but what he actually did was shocking. I wouldn't put him back in the side now, he's been shit recently anyway. No wonder we got battered in the ashes with him as captain, the fat fuck. And Botham can get to fuck sticking up for him. Go and eat a shredded wheat you tit.
  14. Jeremy Clarkson is funny as fuck. Top Gear is the best thing on TV, and I'm not even into cars. The 3 presenters are all class. I hope it comes back for another series.
  15. Leverock has just taken an amazing catch for Bemuda and they've all gone mad! Glad David Lloyd was commentating as well.
  16. Charlie Nicholas to Arsenal instead of coming to us. Good choice, you dick.
  17. I'd rather it take longer if it meant we would get the best stadium possible. I'd hate for us to settle with something that's not big enough, just so it is finished soon.
  18. I think it probably will happen, can't see him still being at Chelsea next season as it's obvious him and Abramovich don't see eye to eye.
  19. Nice one mate, I hope all your predictions are as good. I've backed Gallant Appraoch and D'Argent later on. Wish I'd followed your tips for the first though!
  20. Don't let that win in Australia kid you, England are a shit One Day side. We'll make the Super 8's but that's it. Hope I'm wrong like as I'd love to see us do it but realistically there's no chance. I can't pick a winner though, it's really open this time around. It's between Australia, South Africa, India and Sri Lanka I think, but any one of them could win it. I'm looking forward to England v New Zealand on Friday, I've booked the day off work and am going to watch the game in the pub.
  21. I'm going, bought tickets last week. Wasn't going to bother until Noel was announced but I couldn't resist. Should be a quality gig, the line up is immense.
  22. Can you not just take it into work tomorrow and tell them what happened? It was an accident, you might get a new laptop out of it.
