1. I think we need to look at the longer term view. Economy-wise I dont think it is as simple as being able to fix this country. I think we (the West and even the rest of the world) need to look at our entire Economic model, Its too focused on a short term outcome (higher profits) and is unconcerned with longer term consequences of actions. I have no idea how we would do it. But I feel we need to connect back to the society that we and corporations reside in by taking some social responsibility. Too many have no connection to where they live, organisations operate. For companies i'd like to see the closing of loop holes that allow you to avoid paying tax by having offshore holding companies. If an organisation makes its profits in country x it should pay tax on that profit in that nation. Maybe incentivse companies with tax breaks for corporate social responbile acts. Politicians should also be rewarded for taking a longer term view too often most of their policies are about ensuring that they get re-elected and not about fixin the underlying causes of problems. For individuals we need to make people take pride in their local communities again. God knows how... There isnt the political will to do this though. Too many of the people who weild power would suffer and most of the corporate stuff would have to happen on a global or regional scale. So it wont happen. I know im rambiling here and making unconnected statements but its really early. Those are my initial thoughts.
2. Well done you lucky bastards. Im very envious you have no idea how much fun it will be.
3. Manchester United striker Michael Owen's latest endeavour off the pitch isn't buying a new car or going on holiday - it is trying to complete a 1000-piece horse-inspired jigsaw puzzle. Owen posted a picture on his Twitter account, adding that he was about to embark on the "biggest challenge" of his life. Full story: Metro That made me piss myself. Lot of time on your hands hey Mickey.
4. I dont think he is good enough right now but I reckon he could well blossom later in his career. Good luck to him.
5. I have been saying this for ages. If they dont sign anyone by th end of the window I think Redknapp will resign by Christmas (with spurs struggling) citing a lack of investment and put a full on media campaign to get himself the England job in the summer. Moyes will be the one that replaces him. Whats scary (for the blues) is who would replace Moyes? Who would take over when they are in that condition and without seemingly a chance of getting out of the quagmire that Kenwright has made by standing still and pissing all around himself and their club for years.
6. FFS I am seriously getting pissed of with remakes and re-boots. Show some originality you cunts.
7. Fucking hell how bad is my english in that post? Hopefully S4 improves a hell of a lot.
8. Well maybe plot holes is a bit strong, more like poorly explained parts or poor writing. Warning! The following content is NOT WORK SAFE. Click the Show button to reveal. It just seemed like they side stepped what should have been a load of shit storms. The whole gang going to Ireland... they were on bail and disappear (while breaking Gemma out too). Now for a group of mostly convicted and suspected criminals, with the ATF up their asses watching them, it just suprised me that the ATF or other agencies didnt appear to be fussed. I know Stahl knew but she was keeping that hush. No questioning of the remaining members or following up leads. They also had their Bikes in Ireland, did they bring them with them? And they were happy to ride around with their yank accents with their cuts on and nobody batted an eyelid. Surely they would have been a bit more covert. In the real world you would hope local police would be trying to figure out what was going on and who they were. The trail of bodies also didnt seem rouse any suspicion or make the characters more on edge. Also the blond lady who had a kid with John Teller in Ireland was supposed to be the old lady of the old guy with handle bars (maybe im wrong) but when he was killed after being found out she wasnt that fussed. Jax also went from appearing to forget about his kid being missing and carry on porking the porn star or doing his normal stuff to randomly erupting and shouting about his kid. Maybe its poor acting but some level of consitency would have been nice. Constant shoot outs where nobody important got hit or sometimes anybody in fact. It was A team-esque at times. Other things that just annoyed me were the Doc's constantly miserable face. She only seems to have one mode and that is high strung. Also the scott after killing the Irishman spat on him... DNA? Hopefully S4 sees a follow up and not leave everything done and dusted here especially with Stahl being killed. Maybe im being overly critical but after a very good season 1 &2 I was just underwhelmed by it all it was slower, they introduced a lot of sub plots and put everything in a neat little box.
9. Finisged season 3 it was easily the worst on yet. So many plot holes and the ireland thing dragged on way too long. Plus you had the shit irish themed intro which was awful. Some shocking irish accents too.
10. Marmite film (I really like it) but the soundtrack to The Fountain is superb. Clint Mansell has had a few nods already but he is brilliant at what he does. And my favourite piece of music.
11. Yep filming loads of them. They even stopped to ask a copper if he needed a lift.
12. for those without sky. Indian starsky and hutch filming it all. Sangat TV Live - Gurdwara Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji- West Bromwich
