  1. Snooker and beers is after dinner and a porno.
  2. I'm not justifying the blues as there is no justifying it but I'm equally not ruling out that their call just got cancelled. Taking firefighters off a fire engine to collect a takeaway will affect the availability of that machine. If they go together, they stay available. Spare food sounds like a good solution. Maybe the taxpayer can foot the bill for stuff that doesn't get eaten but is kept lying around on the off chance. Or maybe they can just pick up a takeaway while available for calls once in a while.
  3. So they shouldn't eat? Or they should only eat stuff you consider to be appropriate?
  4. Maybe the kitchen was out of service? Maybe the dinner they cooked had been spoiled by attending an incident? Whatever happened, they were still available for calls while buying that meal, and would obviously have left it had they got one. I'm sure you checked all that out before making the judgement on them as people though.
  5. Surely if,say, one had gone in a car or van the others would be unable to respond to incidents due to being below safe ridership levels? Still, cunts eh.
  6. Is it the eating during working hours or what they were eating you object to?
  7. The Duck and Waffle get very good reviews- top floor of Salesforce Tower on Bishopsgate, the tallest building in the City of London. Not cheap, but I've heard breakfast isn't too bad price wise. Fry up comes without beans though. https://duckandwaffle.com
  8. Depending on the ages of any kids you've got with you I'd try for some on the day tickets to the Woman in Black at the Fortune Theatre on Russell St in Covent Garden. Disregard the film totally, it's worth seeing. Covent Garden is lively, you have the market there and plenty of pubs. I'd also make use of the riverboat if you can. Greenwich and the O2 are some of the furthest east stops and then it can take you all the way into central town or further west without the sweaty congestion of the tube. It's dearer than the tube mind. Goddards pie and mash in Greenwich is a good pie and mash, but if you're anywhere near Tower Bridge I'd try Manze's on Tower Bridge Rd or Cooke's in Broadway Market if you're near there. There's a lot of outdoor cinemas on rooftops and in parks that aren't bad value, especially as you can take your own grub and booze to a lot of them.
  9. Elsewhere, I'm convinced the Hodge will be in charge of Palace by Christmas when this summer's outlay is not reflected on the pitch and Pardew gets the boot. He's had 50 games there, and it usually goes downhill for him after a season, statistically.
  10. Girl at my work just tried to nuke herself a hot dog on a paper plate, with predictable results. "I don't understand, it's never done that before".
  11. I've started pouring my used coffee grounds on the flower beds after I saw a sign in Waitrose saying it improves soil quality. Shall we close the thread?
  12. That's a mock up poster Joe Rogan has put online,I believe
  13. Sky+ doesn't exist in the world of a woman. "Sitting through the adverts again love?"
  14. Has she dislocated her kneecap in the first one?
  15. The way it's been reported sounds like he's been treated very badly. I notice a lot of the big reporters (posh twat Davies being one) haven't mentioned it though. They're alright, Jack.
  16. What do we make of this Ariel Helwani business? He blubbed good and proper on the (inaccurately named) MMA hour yesterday.
  17. Hunt vs Lesnar then...
  18. A good main card I thought. Co-main was a bit of a let-down in comparison to the others but Cruz is so hard to hit his fights rarely entertain for long periods. Anyone notice they included Fedor on their on screen stats for the first time last night? Any big name heavyweights need an opponent in the next five weeks?
  19. I was on my feet. One of the biggest shocks in the time I've been watching that didn't get spoiled by a text off a mate or an absent-minded look at Facebook. I'm happy for him.
  20. Partridge fans should check out Monkey Tennis. Similar idea to the West Wing one above.
  21. Thoroughly deserved too- Plymouth were never in it. I did wonder if the hype and expectation around AFC would hamper them, but to be fair the players must be getting used to it. Good luck to them.
