  1. Agree with that. However, we do tend to look for Crouch when under pressure. Even in tonight's game, for a 10 minutes spell (around the 70 minute mark) we started launching it hastily towards Moro and God. It will take time (and a few more players) to have the complete passing game return to Anfield, but I believe that's what Rafa really wants. With regards to thew front two - i think that once we have 4 strikers that Rafa is happy with, he will rotate heavily, not matter where the fixture. Put Owen in the squad instead of CIsse, and I'm pretty sure that alongside God, Crouch and Moro, they will all get their fair share of games.
  2. I think you're great, Red Nick. Carrying on from a previous thread, Momo has really impressed me against the bigger teams. He seems to be unfazed by the move to LFC for someone so young (probably due to his experience at Valencia). I thought his passing was improved, but sometimes instead of holding the ball, he does try to release players too quickly. I think once he learns to keep the ball and help us retain possesion, he will be vitrually irreplaceable. However, the rest he got on saturday proved to be vital, and i think he should maybe start 2 out of every three games, with Didi coming in. BTW, Didi - you fucking legend! 3rd place and upwards, redmen!
  3. Well that's it... Just split up with my bird. She said she's had enough of me canceling dinners etc. for the greatest love of my life. And you know what - I coudn't give a shit. I made it clear to her from the moment we started dating (October 2003) that nothing would ever get in the way of LFC. And to think I brought her to Dubai with me on my expense. I know she's going to call me tomoro, cos she's got nowhere to go! She can fuck off back to South Africa, as far as I'm concerend. Common you mighty Reds! Yeaaaaah
  4. Spot on! I've been thinking this for a while too. It makes sense, and helps us play better football at Anfield, even under pressure. Question now is - who plays up front at home?
  5. A MAJOR breakthrough in Liverpool FC's plans for a new stadium is revealed today. Government officials have privately agreed to pump around £10m into the regeneration of the area around the club's planned £150m ground at Stanley Park, the ECHO has learned. It means the Reds' stadium project is still on track after months of uncertainty. A spokeswoman for the Northwest Development Agency, which holds the purse strings, today said no formal decision had been made. The news of the cash boost comes a day after the ECHO revealed that property giant Peel Holdings has offered to build Everton FC a new stadium at Switch Island. Last summer, Liverpool was told by the Northwest Development Agency it could not have £23m of taxpayers' money because £9m would be spent purely on club facilities. Instead, the council was asked to come up with proposals to use government cash for the regeneration of the deprived Anfield and Breckfield areas. The ECHO today learned that the council's bid has been successful, and that a grant of just under £10m is set to be rubber-stamped. A source close to discussions said: "The agency has privately agreed to fund a sum just under £10m. "It will not be used for the stadium itself - it will be for the regeneration of Anfield and Breckfield." The NWDA told Liverpool last June that it cannot use public money to pay for the construction costs of the planned 60,000-seater ground. Around £9m of the money was due to be spent on the stadium roof, soundproof wall cladding and an underground car park. But agency officials were not opposed to Liverpool's plans for a new ground, even though they would have preferred the club to share a home with neighbours Everton. They recognised the positive spin-offs for a new stadium for the Anfield area, including a job-creating plaza on the site of the current ground.
  6. Its a decent weight for someone 6foot2 He's suppoosed to be a tough centre back. We'll see.
  7. His father is Rashid, you joker. Thats what the 'bin' is. It means son of. And does this mean you don't agree with the rest?
  8. I knew what you meant, and you're 100% right. We can only do as we're allowed in the arab region. Dubai / Lebanon are the only exceptions.
  9. Thats wrong pal. Saddam killed over a million iraqi's. I've lost 3 uncles and an aunt to that cunt. Not to mention many friends. And if you knew iraq';s blood-filled history, you wouldn't have made such a 'cowboy' comment. Agreed on the US oppression part, but you cannot say one was better than the other. They are both Scum, and Saddam was a CIA agent anyway. Plus the only Ruler of State who would be voted in democratically by his people, in the Arab world is Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai. All the others are corrupt, money grabbing cock-suckers!
  10. Not to mention that cheating, toilet-brush looking cunt, Carvalho, clearly pulling the keeper back for the winner.
  11. What is the point of this? How the fuck do you know? I agree we should batter these lot though!
  12. You mean Crouch? Get to fuck. Slight exagg! Plus his attitude stinks big time.
  13. If you check the facts, Freak boy, you'll see that started the 'Pongolle out of order' thread long before any of you lot had your say. So stick your bandwagon up your arse. Plus I am assuming he'll be sold, not demanding it.
  14. GK Retained - Reina Carson Martin Sold - Dudek Kirkland Bought - experienced cover for Reina perhaps, with Carson loaned out? CB Retained - Hyypia Carragher Agger Sold - Whitbread Medjani Bought - Paletta RB (2) Retained - Finnan Krompkamp LB Retained - Riise Warnock? Traore? Sold - Warnock? Traore? Bought - hopefully (if the above is correct) a top left back (needed imo) CM Retained - Gerrard Alonso Sissoko Hamman? Zenden Sold - Hamman? Potter Cheyrou Diao Bought - experienced replacement for Didi or a Nolan/Barton type palyer RM Retained - Garcia Bought - hopefully a top right-winger (Pennant, Simao, Victor?) LM Retained - Kewell Gonzalez (Zenden) S Retained - Crouch Fowler Mellor Sold - Cisse Morientes Pongolle Le Tallec Bought - two of Owen, Defoe, Kuyt, etc. If thats the general outlook, then some clever summer business should have us ready equipped on all fronts, seeing as it provides us with two decent players in each position. Perhaps some of the youngsters (Barraghan, Anderson?) might be ready for some first team action too. The money from this season plus the sale of those mentioned should provide us with the funds to complete the squad. Over to you Messrs Parry & Benitez...
  15. To be fair, I think if you compare these two with Chelsea/Man Utd's lot, the incedents are few and far between. Garcia maybe falls over a bit too easily due to the fact that most of his markers try to kick two tons of shit out of him, and the way he gives the ball away, he probably feels a free kick is the better option. Even so, I don't think he rolls around feining injury, which is what (it seems) Rafa was getting at. Generally that aspect of our game has always been pretty good, and long may that continue.
  16. 2-0 Liverpool Kewell and Fowler Common Redmen - Let's beat this shite!
  17. I guarantee that if you bump into me one day, you won't be calling me that. Fucking coward.
  18. Actually since '85 when Liverpool visited Dubai (where I originally lived). And i can think of a lot of clueless remarks you've posted here. Think that's why you're on most people's ignore lists pal.
  19. I am actually working in Dubai. I'm from Iraq, and have lived in the UK since '86. I have season tickets (had them since 1988). And while being factual, you are a total cock-sucker.
  20. Did you use the poll above to give that information?
  21. I'll try and help Two couples were playing poker one evening. John accidentally dropped some cards on the floor. When he bent down under the table to pick them up, he noticed Bill's wife, Sue, wasn't wearing any underwear under her dress ! Shocked by this, John, upon trying to sit back up again, hit his head on the table and emerged red-faced. Later, John went to the kitchen to get some refreshments. Bill's wife followed and asked, "Did you see anything that you liked under there?" Surprised by her boldness, John courageously admitted that, well indeed he did. She said, " Well, you can have it but it will cost you $500." After taking a minute or two to assess the financial and moral costs of this offer, John confirms that he is interested. She tells him that since her husband Bill works Friday afternoons and as John doesn't, he should be at her house around 2 p.m. Friday afternoon. When Friday rolled around, John showed up at Bill's house at 2 p.m. sharp and after paying Sue the agreed sum of $500 they went to the bedroom and closed their transaction, as agreed. John then quickly dressed and left. As usual, Bill came home from work at 6 p.m. and upon entering the house, asked his wife abruptly. "Did John come by the house this afternoon?" With a lump in her throat Sue answered "Why yes, he did stop by for a few minutes this afternoon." Her heart nearly skipped a beat when her husband curtly asked, "And did he give you $500?" In terror she assumed that somehow he had found out and after mustering her best poker face, replied, "Well, yes, in fact he did give me $500". Bill, with a satisfied look on his face, surprised his wife by saying, "Good, I was hoping he did." "Oh Yeah?!?" she said, worryingly. "Yeah... He came by the office this morning and borrowed $500 from me. He promised me he'd stop by our house this afternoon on his way home and pay me back." Now THAT, my friends, is a poker player !
  22. Cos we've got a few crucial games comong up Rash. And by his standards, he's been shit. He might go Riise further up with DT behind, and Kewell/Garcia on the right? And anyone but Moro upfront ,please Rafa.
