I was even thinking of putting together a poster with all of Liverpool's trophies on and all of theirs. Then I was thinking of anther one with the trophies over the last 10 years or so. As you can probably tell, this whole problem has been driving me to distraction. He's a smart kid too, at 6 he's watching the full 90 mins no problem, even asking what Spanish/German games are on straight after. It's great baby sitting him as he wants to watch MOTD now rather than Ben 10.

I've got to admit I was going to buy one of these at the game but not for me. Let me explain. My nephew is 6 and is just starting to get into football. I've always got him Liverpool tops and just thought he'd naturally become a red. My sister's new(ish) fella however is a bitter blue and has been warping his mind to the blue side. As soon as the first signs emerged i took the day off and took him down to Melwood to watch training through the gaps in the wall, followed by the stadium tour. It was desperate times. He enjoyed the day and even believed me when I told him the empty cabinet by the ticket desk was Everton's trophy collection - "but it's empty?" "exactly son, they haven't won any recently". I even managed to take him to his first ever game (the 3-0 against West Ham) which prompted him to put a LFC season ticket top of his Christmas list. Despite my best efforts, I think I'm losing the battle against the daily blue poisoning of a young, impressionable mind. If we hadn't of been so shit this season too, the job might have been easier. So, in a last ditch effort to keep the red spark alive, I was going to get a half red, half blue scarf for the little fella. Any suggestions on stopping the poor lad ruining his life will be gratefully received.

I think Kelly was the only starting player to come out of this with any credit. Spearing was ok at times and it was good to see him barking orders at Pacheco for shitting out of countless tackles. Thought he stunk the place out. Felt for Wilson at left back and thought he should have switched with Agger who put on a terrible display when he should have been providing support to his inexperienced team mates. Not Soto, obviously who was arguably our most attacking threat at points but it did smack of Mourinho lumping Huth up front to 'get amongst them'. Eccleston and Shelvey weren't on the pitch long enough to include in the rating albeit our 'best' period did come very late on when they were on the pitch.

To make a substantial loss (when you add the loan fee and signing on fee to the £18m) on one of our best players, despite that player being a classless runt, is unacceptable but indicative of the way in which our club is run. Shambles.

Klose was supposedly off to Bolton prior to the World Cup for around £3m. He's 32, had a terrible club season and has 12 months left on his contract. Yeah, £16m would be a great deal... Saying that, if a reasonable deal can be negotiated for him i think he'd be a great addition to fill the veteran striker role at the club. If you're looking at 4 strikers at a club then Ngog fills the 'rookie' striker role and Torres the leading striker, but I'd like to see someone in the Litmanen, Reidle, Fowler role. A regular partner is required for Torres too - not a midfileder thrust into the role. Babel/Jovanavic may well be options but are unknown quantities at present in terms of playing up front.
