  1. Spot on again Dave though Firmino's poor finishing when we were 1-0 up got me angrier than you. Sturridge still ill? Or have we just abandoned him on an NHS waiting list somewhere, what a waste of space he is.
  2. Depressingly spot on, except I don't give Clyne a pass either as his delivery and final product is appalling. He can defend though which is an exception. I have just about reached the end of the road, never felt less like supporting the players out there, it's only loyalty to the club name and the great times it has given me that makes me want to go anymore.
  3. Henderson passed well. Otherwise every aspect of that was utter shit Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
  4. Hard to disagree Dave, it was a completely deflating experience to sit through that match. A shadow of how we played a month ago. The lack of pace, the lack of ideas, the failure to get in the box.
  5. Some shocking long shots didn't help either, how come they bang it in at all angles in training and the warm up then seem to lose the plot in a match? Origi and Can were shockingly bad, some of the youngsters didn't make any real case for themselves either but hey another match, another chance.
  6. As you say it's difficult for so many players to come into the team and be expected to play as a team. Some try too hard to impress (Moreno's shots for example) others just are not on the same wavelength. Disappointed that some more senior players did not step up to lead the team, Can and Wijnildum especially. Thought Lucas did well in trying to bring them together and lead by example.
  7. Fumed all night at Sturridge constantly losing the ball, yet: the free kick was top drawer, he's so much talent-infuriating; agree that the injuries must have a psychological effect but also he's almost trying too hard when he gets the ball. I mean he's trying to do something world class every time instead of re-building his game from the simple things. If we were clinical up front we'd have won 6 or 7 over the two legs. Admittedly they have a top keeper but that's why I was so uptight, we deserved to be miles clear yet were on backfoot after the penalty.
  8. No.8 (Kane?) has given it away a lot. Some nice individual touches but the passing is poor
  9. Yup good summary Dave. Frustration was how I felt all night, even when we went ahead as we should have won this comfortably instead of being one rebounded shot away from spilling points. Firmino's lack of finish and his giving the ball away in and around our own box was another source of that frustration. Lallana really is a luxury too far and Coutinho, well he ain't the world class player we keep being told that he is. Henderson's injury though could be the biggest cause of frustration, he really is the one who can lift the midfield and read the game. Having said all that I have been to every game at Sunderland for the last 10 years and every one has been crap. We seem to always descend to their level rather than just impose any quality.
  10. I was listening to that commentary yesterday on a stream, couldn't believe that anyone would employ Francis. Out of date, biased and embarrassing. He was banging on about how Liverpool could not score without a recognised striker, the set up was all wrong etc. Then we scored and of course he had changed his mind and was still right. He actually made Owen seem insightful. I'd had enough so found another stream only for Jim Beglin to crop up. What a twisted bastard he's turned into, he really hates us based on that effort yesterday. The mute button is definitely the way forward.
  11. First 30 minutes we had 3 free kicks around the half way line. What do we do with every one of them? Pass it backwards or sideways then back. No intention of getting forward, no thought that a big £30m forward might like a ball into the box to attack. Clueless.
  12. Now that Moyes is looking at Will Hughes after our courting him for months, expect Utd and Spurs to be linked soon. Both excellent players but can't see us paying 30m for anyone until we are already CL qualified
  13. Excellent speech, heartfelt and honest. Credit to him and his club
  14. No mention of Johnson's dip in form this last few games. He seems to have lost any decision making ability when he goes forward, dithers and ends up losing the ball when others have committed themselves waiting for the pass. He concerns me. Otherwise spot on
  15. Not overly impressed by what I've seen of Fulton to be honest. Ward I haven't seen, hope you're right. Seems to be a position we have been weak in recent years.
  16. Have we got any decent keepers below the first team?
  17. It's so frustrating and, yet, so expected. Good summary, I think you're a bit kind on Allen who's passing was catastrophic, Henderson would have been a much better choice, he was doing well a few games back but seems to have fallen behind again. Johnson hasn't been anywhere near his best the last month or so, he was great first few months but seems to lose position defensively and to have problems with decision making when he goes forward. A really bad day
  18. Need to pass the ball in the final third, they are individuals rather than a team up there. If they can work together they'd walk it
  19. Fair play for coming out and saying it but it's hardly first time this season
  20. Daniel Agger ‏@DanielAgger I agree with most of you. My performance the last 10 minutes of yesterday's game was NOT good enough. It's as simple as that!!!!! But thank you for letting me know:0)))))))
