  1. Kuyt is so bad that Yossi and N'gog need to play on the right to make it easier for him to pass to them. A bit worried that Reina would let in a few though, being so out of position.
  2. Perhaps a victim of circumstances. If I remember correctly, we can swap 3 guys. One place has gone to Hyypia, in place of Degen. The remaining two spots belonged to Keane and Pennant - so I suppose we need to fill them in with association-trained players. My impression is that Insua doesn't qualify for that yet. He could've been in the original squad ahead of Dossena, of course, but that's a different story.
  3. I think he's more suited at getting to the end of passes and twatting the ball straightaway, instead of serving them up for a partner though.
  4. Wait till we coach the workrate into him and the skills out of him. "Skills are for soft bunnies. Workrate wins places" - unnamed undroppable player.
  5. That probably should be one of the first items if this forum ever has a FAQ... (or is there one already?) :D
  6. He did actually go ahead to sign autographs for a few others at the end of the clip, but I guess those folks jumping on him at every opportunity don't wanna see that since it doesn't fit in with the whole "he is not performing, hence everything about him is evil" agenda they have.
  7. The other scenario: We're even on points and goal difference, down to the last minute of injury time, and he scores an own goal...
  8. Probably had a bet on a Chelsea win.
  9. Or this one: Lam~pard gets a red; Tor~res scores with gold~en head; and then scores a~gain.
  10. Don't think so, but we can have Kuyt for fumbles and turnovers. He does play a fair bit of pressure D to be honest; not sure how many steals he gets per game though for all that effort.
  11. I doubt we should have that worry, unless we bring in some shithead manager, or we start tumbling out of the CL. Players might be loyal to managers, but I think they'll be happy to stay as long as they are properly used (in their view) and get consistent minutes.
  12. Curveball time - Van Basten anyone? I'm kinda' tired of the same old names - plus Mourinho isn't exactly averse to making weird decisions. Correct me if I'm wrong - but after they sold Robben, didn't Chelsea actually play pretty narrow as well under Mourinho? I know Van Basten is untested at this level; however his profile as one of the best strikers of his generation would probably be attractive to players to stay/join. He's had the experience of managing the Dutch national team, which traditionally has been a team loaded with talent but also huge egos. I thought the Dutch did well under him but with the talents in that team, it's hard not to. Not too sure how his Ajax teams play though. Okay, neg away. :D
  13. It'd be very funny if they ended up winning nothing - but there's more chance of Rafa doing a RoboCrouch in central midfield than that happening. Maybe Rafa really should do the dance if that really should come to pass.
  14. Given our impotence in breaking down well-marshalled defences, you've to wonder why we've never improved on our setpieces after all these years. You'd think that given our weakness in breaking down 10-man walls, we'd have done extra sessions to capitalize on the corners and free kicks that inevitably come our way.
  15. Wasn't the story a few months ago about Ecclestone that he was promoted to Melwood, but subsequently "demoted" (because of a congestion), and that he was looking to leave? Or have I gotten the wrong guy / missed something in-between?
  16. Typical. I now officially want Bolton relegated this season. What fucked up defending was on that for that goal? Fucked up useless surrender monkeys. As for Chelsea... another Lampard deflected goal. How many has he scored this way in his career? 403?
  17. Delap just did about the same at Stamford Bridge though. :D Can't see Bolton escaping with a point here. If they do, we're nailed on to be champs this season. :D Their defending in those last 10 minutes have given the Mancs the signal to slaughter them after the break. In particular - their defending out wide has been atrocious. The fullback and midfielder doesn't bother to follow his man or hand off to his partner once the Manc he's guarding passes the ball. Result - the Mancs runs on and gets the return pass in acres of space. Happened over and over again, especially out on Bolton's right.
  18. Andriy Voronin. We ordered a stale sandwich, and we got a stale sandwich. No false advertising there. Emily Henrietta - We ordered spaghetti, tasted good at the start, and then it turned out it was a plate of worms that was served to us.
  19. Draw for me. Anything that keeps both clubs closing the gap to the Gunners than to us.
  20. He got a new tattoo on his left foot and didn't want the boot messing up the ink.
  21. Nobody interviews Skrtel. Skrtel no talk. Skrtel breathe fire. Reporter turns to ash. Skrtel no talk.
  22. Says here it's a 4-year deal when he signed for us. BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Liverpool | Liverpool confirm Voronin signing
  23. Hmm actually I'm surprised that Aurelio has only really missed out on the games in December. Before that, he played in, or was an unused sub (once) for every game bar at home versus Stoke. Here's drinking to him having a good spell till the end of the season (he actually had a good, somewhat uninterrupted run to close last season too - that is, until that fateful injury against Chelsea in the CL semi)...
