  1. Just stick the back end of a broom up their bums. That'll help them realize wearing rainbow colors is a sin. Female gays? Just line them up alongside the women who can't be bothered wearing their hijab right and shoot'em. That'l hellp I suppose.
  2. The World cup! The goal in 1966, Pele, Maradona, Brazil 1982 team… I could on and on. Mythical! Exciting! People!" The Word Cup is dead! This isn’t going to be a proper World Cup, is it? Is anyone really looking forward to this Desert Cup for nations? To me it’s just an inconvenient long footy break. I’m not going to watch it. Am I just a stupid protester perhaps? Yeah, in a way I guess I am. But mainly I won’t watch it because they’ve taken all the excitement out of it. It simply won’t be any fun. I might watch the final, then again I might wait for the highlights. Basically I’m just going to be a patient guy waiting for football to return on Boxing day.
  3. And something has to be done with the goalless draws. Let's just have the two managers in the inner circle with their pants down. Whoever pisses the longest stream wins it.
  4. Can we have John Arne Riise as left back captain please. North vs South? It would take a large number of Liverpool players not to support the Souths
  5. ....and f**** stupid. Football's got something the yanks could never understand, passion! If ever played and I was forced into the stadium to watch against my will I supopose I'd have to support the combined ManC, ManU, Lpool team against the Spurs; Arse, Chelsea team. 1-1 89 mns, then Fernandes finds Foden, goal!!! What an explosion of happy feelings that would be! .....or not!
  6. It's funny to see the Chelsea owner being so utterly clueless. North against South? Really? Got to admit he's putting a smile on my face that Boehly lad. And great idea from Kloppo to bring in the Harlem Globetrotters as well. Wonder what team Tiger Woods' going to play for, North or South?
  7. When you have an owner who sakcs a manager like Tuchel 6 games into the season, we all know what's going tio happen next. There'll be no patience. no 3-4 years to build a winning team, but plenty of new managers the next couple of years. Luckily for us it's a recipy doomed do fail.
  8. We pressed well yesterday. That high pressuer only works if every man's doing his job. Jota does! Until Darwin learns to do the same Jota should be starting for us. Once again TAA just stops after being passed, leaving biig bird with too much to do. Result 1-1. This has to stop. Unfortunately Tsimikas is a left back and we really don't have anyone except Gomez to fill in. TAA really shoukd be benched for this, but we may not have that option. Great performance from Matip, Van Dijk, Thiago and Tsimikas. Good to see Jota back too. Over all we did well.
  9. So have I, not only against us but as a general way to adapt to the offside rule and the high line. With our high line we're obviously more vulnerable than others. We should do it too. Let Diaz make a run, defender sees he'll be caught offside and instinctively takes a step forward. Then release Salah who coukd be yards onside and still be clear on goal because of that step forward from the defender. All teams shoukld adapt to this. Naopoli is just very good at it.
  10. Harvey seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He'll learn that position qiuckly. Maybe lack of muscles, strenght and speed will be a problem, but I'm confident he'll learn from this. Best option we have at the moment
  11. There's a reason he didn't play for Juventus. We shouldn't expect too much.
  12. We ask a lot of our full backs. We ask them to play two roles really. We want them to be wingers and defenders at the same time. When we were at the top of our game we had full backs attacking at full speed. When we lost the ball our midfielders would cover the space left behind on the flanks. That in turn made us vulnerable in the central areas only for Sadio and Bobby to deputize as midfielders for a few seconds. The result usually was we either won the ball back with plenty of threats up front or at least slowed them down enough to get back into some sort of defensive shape. It’s a whole team thing rather than just a midfield thing imo. Do we have the personnel to do this now? Probably not. We don’t have attackers with the right mindset or abilities to cover for our midfielders and we don’t have midfielders able to do the job either. I agree we need a Gini player back in the team, but we also miss Sadio a lot.
  13. I agree with you we have a midfield problem, but it’s more to it than that. That high pressing game starts with our attackers. With the ”rat-pack” we had Bobby and Sadio who were both very good at closing down and pressing. Even Mo did his fair share. Now Mo isn’t doing it the way he used to. Diaz tries but is not very good at it and that Darwin lad has a lot to learn. When the pressing from the front three isn’t there our midfield is overloaded. They simply have to sit back or be exposed. Also we don't have the midfield players to do it anymore. Both Hendo and Milner have the attitude to do it but probably not the skill or legs. Harvey is tactically fresh and maybe a bit too slow for it. Keita? If not injured just looks half arsed. Yeah we definitely have a midfield problem, but I feel there’s a whole team problem too.
  14. If we continue to expose ourselves and leave our two central defenders alone against fast counter attacking players all defenders in the world would look bad. Either our whole team return to pressing like they had the devil on their heels, or we change our style. Changing Gomez for whoever you'd fancy won't help one bit.
  15. Sadly this is probably hitting the nail on the head. Would be sad to see us change our game and once again become a contender for a top 4th place ant not be challenging the Abu Dhabis or Saudis for the title. How humilitaing it would be to see us play in the Europa Conference League next year.
  16. Then we have a problem. We're supposed to chase in packs high up the field. All it takes for the opp. is one man not doing his job, letting one god midfielder with enough time to find a penetrating pass into the great wide open. It happens even when we're good, but then only occasionally. If we're not up top the task it happens all the time. Klopp's football is great, but needs comittment. Without comittment we're asking to be bum f***
  17. Sure enough his actions aren't allways tactically sound, can't disagree with that. The main problem for us, however, is that intensity is vital for the way we're playing. When that intensity drops we're shite, and will be until the lads on the field decide it's time to go to work.
  18. Our playing style requires players pressing and running like obsessed maniacs. When they don't we're wide open. Maybe the players are too old to give the 110% needed? There are no maniacs out there anymore. Remember Robbo chasing the Man City defender all the way to the corner flag on the other flank? Someone said he was seen after the match running after the MCity bus on M62. That's what we need now, passion and players chasing the ball like their lives depended on it. We'll probably see a reaction against Wolves, just like we did against Bournemouth. Won't help much though if they go back to laid back football the next game.
  19. And nobody asks the question why Casemiro wants to go there. To win titles? To play in the CL against the top level? To work hard to become a better player? Or maybe maybe, it couldnt be could it, he goes there to cash a few big paycheques before he retires? Nah, can't be that. Good to see their supporters happy again though. Not as happy as when salvatore Ronaldo came last year, but still..
  20. Sneaking in on the back post, that's it. Haven't seen all his goals but the winner in the clip must be trademark for him. Thx for the clip btw
  21. Once described as "sauntering through games with all the apparent urgency of a man out walking his dog" and still have 61 goals to his name. Classic Shanks quote: Shankly was playing in a five-a-side match and a goal by Shanks was being disputed. Chris was asked to settle the dispute and in his typical short and to-the-point manner simply said, "No goal, boss." Shankly was livid and started yelling, saying to him: "Bloody hell Chris! Ye don’t open yer mouth for ten years and now when yer do it’s a bloody lie!" Vote the legend in next time folks!
  22. Once a ghost always a ghost I suppose. Should've had more votes.
