  1. You’re probably right. A ticket boycott would probably fail. Boycotting the shop and e-season ticket might succeed, although it doesn’t seem to be enough support even for that right now. Be prepared for at least a 25%+ increase in season tickets prices next year, boycott or not.
  2. Good post. Now is the time for action, not for patience. A successful boycott needs support from the vast majority of fans. It’s almost like a strike. A strike where 10% participates, the rest goes to work as usual, serves no other purpose than to punish the 10% involved. Sadly, I very much doubt you’ll find sufficient support. After Hicks’ PR-stunt promising us a new stadium (again), Macsherano deal, supporting “Roffa”, it looks like many fans now have taken a “let’s wait and see” attitude. The fact we’re saddled with £350M debt and is still as far away from a new stadium as ever before and the fact Hicks has proved he is a lying bastard don’t seem to sink in. Personally I’d rather support a new born Liverpool 2008 FC than some American’s milking cow. However, let's discuss that later. Right now let's fight to get our club back.
  3. I’m on that list, I'm an OOT'er and should according to your theory be happy to snatch that ticket. Only I won’t do it – not in a million years! Other fans give up their tickets in a boycott, and I should take advantage - No way! I've got faith other fans wouldn't either. Any fan who took advantage should have their noses punched and pee-wees removed.
  4. Is there a place I can bet on whether Masch is here next season or not? It’s not like we’ve signed the player yet. My guess the offal will tell us we’re going to complete the transfer during the summer window. Summer comes, and with it the inevitable HicksUp.
  5. Wonderful design – stunning! A pity it’s only a drawing never meant to be built. 71000 capacity, cost reduction £150M, plans presented at the same time as finance plan goes through. How thick do you really think we are FatFace?
  6. Tuesday we were told the yanks would officially confirm the financing plan was OK, AND at the same time present the new stadium plans. Actually it should’ve been yesterday, postponed until today or maybe Monday. If they’re going to keep their promise to present those plans to us the Hereford architect better start working.
  7. Mascherano deal? I’m having a laugh. For the sake of argument, let’s say it’s true Hicks promised we’d sign the chief. From what we know about Hicks the probability Masch’s here next season is actually lower now than yesterday.
  8. That Hereford architect certainly works fast. He's going to present the new stadium plan to us this afternooen, isn't he. I'm impressed.
  9. I’ll bet you some Liverpool dockers have heard their employers saying similar words before. We need to throw the yanks out, no matter the cost. Relegation? So be it. We’ll just have to build from square one once they’re out. (I'll make a new avatar. LFC has lost a battle, not the war)
  10. LFCSN! Get some sort of statement out. Unity is essential, so we need to unite on what/when to boycott etc. After you've published the staement it's every fans responsibility the get the message around, to friends, to the pubs, everywhere. Let's do this - now!
  11. As you should know by now: What the gaffer wants means nada. The question is: Do the yanks want him, or do they want to cash in?
  12. Maybe someone could make a poll to see how many of us e-season ticket holders have now cancelled the subscription. That may give us some sort of idea of how much support a boycott would get.
  13. It’ll hit them the only place these suckers can feel pain: In their pockets! I don’t believe a boycott of matches would work. A shop++ boycott, however, may very well succeed.
  14. From depression to hope and back to depression. And now, new hope? It’s a farce. Maybe TomR’s right after all. The yanks won’t get the loan, they’re bluffing and DIC will call.
  15. How can you be so sure Pepe's still around next season?
  16. I’ve not given up hope, but realistically I don’t believe we’ll get rid of the two thieves. Also, even if DIC did come to our rescue, there’s every chance they’d exploit us too. Basically we’re being raped as we speak. We’re the Titanic having just hit that iceberg. We’re going down. But one thing will never die, the passion of the supporters. After we’ve been fucked and left to die, Liverpool F.C. will, like Lazarus, rise from the dead. We’ll all be here when that happens. We might be relegated and maybe relegated from relegation. But Liverpool F.C. will resurrect. As far as I’m concerned a fast and quick death is better than being tortured for years. I’ll go inside my shelter now with all the old DVD’s of happy days, every now and then look outside for the golden sky that’s supposed to appear at the end of the storm. When I hear that sweet silver song of the lark, I’ll be back.
  17. Exactly. My dear friend. It's called milking the cow.
  18. I applaud all efforts made. Just cancelled my E-season ticket. I’ll sign up again the minute Waldorff & Statler are gone. Except for tickets I promise not to spend one penny on club merchandise or anything else. To those organizing a boycott: Make sure there are people handing out leaflets to the OOT’s outside the shops in center and at Anfield. 90% would understand and support the boycott. With that docker uncle someone mentioned present the remaining 10% wouldn’t dare go inside.
  19. Eldrich! Is there a link to where I could cancel my e-season ticket, or do I just send them an e-mail?
  20. I'll wait until it's official. Then I'll do the same.
  21. They may be able to steal the money from the club, but they’re not getting their hands on mine. Not one penny more. The minute this is official I’ll be on my own sole boycott crusade. You lot do what you feel, go to the matches, enjoy it if you can. I hope you'll be able to, you're all great people. However, as far as I’m concerned, we might as well get into that Leeds situation sooner rather than later. The sooner I could start supporting a new Liverpool F.C. the better.
  22. A source close to someone who’s close to the family got hold of this letter to Mr. Gillett: Dear George, mate It’s been some nerve wrecking days hasn’t it? Having to secure a dodgy loan with £220M is quite a gamble. But now we’re home free. If all goes wrong from here on, our risk is only $55M, about the same we’ve been tapping out of that soccer club. As we’ve now removed the risk of losing, we can start thinking about making a profit. I suggest we make some new drawings of a new stadium and present them as architect drawings. Let’s give those Scouse suckers something to cheer them up, a little optimism to ease the resistance. One thing we have to agree upon is whether to slaughter them now or later. If we do it slowly we’ll probably earn more, but those fans are going to be mad again when we don’t invest in new players this summer. Maybe it’s better to tap as much as we can now, and leave them before next season? What do you think? Anyhow, I guess you as well as me are finished going to that dirty English city. Strange people those scousers. Almost feel sorry for them, those naïve suckers. Open the champagne mate. Cheers! Tom
  23. Think we'd need a full scale boycott or fans strike. Can't see that happen. I'll support anyone who tries though. Empty Anfield for Inter match might do it, but it ain't gonna happen mate.
  24. This is it fellow Redmen, Today, January 23rd 2008, Liverpool F.C. died. Thank you for all the sweet memories. We walked together. Some day a new Liverpool F.C. will rise from the ashes. LFC is dead – Long Live LFC! R.I.P.
