Carlton Palmer is an absolute cock. I was in Leeds on a night out in the 90's. Come out of some club (I think it was the Town and Country Club but could be wrong) - he is giving the boot to some guy on the floor. Dont know what started it but we intervened and told him to pack it in. He then comes at us - 1 punch from my mate Quinny sorted that out. Bellend. I did laugh when I saw he was not in the Leeds team the following week.

Ridiculous game mate. Still a good bet. Have not had a bet in about 6 months after betting an absolute shedload in the 12 mths before that. As soon as I saw the Zenit odds, I had to get back in there. 200 sheets that cost me.

Yep - did it a couple of years ago. I would say it is worth doing but cant say I have used it that much in my job since. 2 exams: one is a multi choice which you have to pass to get through to the final exam which is 3 hours open book. Takes ages to get the results back.

Longer than 5 hrs I would say - when Holmes played with Woods, it was a 6 hr round. Woods then came out the next week and said something needed to be done about slow play. Agree with Dave - I have been deliberately stalling from betting on us purely because of Faldo

Getting very excited now. Saw Faldos press conference yesterday - thought he acted like a bit of a bellend. If JB Holmes goes out first, it is going to be one slow day - the guy takes forever

I am off 8 - I am playing loads. Just joined a rock hard course though which plays about 5 shots harder than normal. Playing that Southport Links a couple of yrs back is still the hardest round of golf I have had to play so just shows how good these pros are. Met Lee Westwoods dad once who plays off scratch - he said he had more in common with a 36 handicapper than compared to his sons golf.

I would agree with the 100 yards in theory. I would disagree with the dont hit it hard theory - I get so annoyed with some of my mates who have a fairly nice swing but dont hit the ball hard enough. That is OK if you want to shoot 100 but you will never get better. One of them recently changed to hitting the ball harder and hasnt looked back. In fairness though, they had already played a bit so hitting the ball wasnt an issue. Also, dont worry if your swing looks a bit odd so long as it works - my swing is something between Furyk and Charles Barkley (see YouTube - Charles Barkley's Golf Swing) - as long as it works is all you need to worry about

I would agree about playing public courses, or else courses which are members clubs but after a certain time you can play at a reasonable rate. Done that for the last 6 yrs in London. Saying that, just about to join a course - they have waived their membership fee and given a decent rate for under 35s so looks like a good deal.

I never normally lose my cool over the phone but this customer services guy said the same blurb "Do you realise what you are missing etc" 7 times to me. I actually said at the end "Are you taking the piss" and the bastard put the phone down on me for swearing!

Bobhorse - bit lost in what you are trying to do with that spreadsheet - an example would be nice with horse names etc. In terms of the hyperlinks, the best way I have found to get rid of the copy formatting is 1) in Excel instead of doing a normal paste i.e. Ctrl + V, go Edit - Paste Special - Text, or 2) much quicker method of achieving the same thing is to download Puretext from PureText Home Page - this will allow you to use the Windows key + V instead - superb little free application which I use all the time
