  1. Indy IV on its own isnt that bad - its watchable with some good stuff in it. Granted shia wrecks head. However whats makes it shit is that it is held up in comparison with Raiders which is one of the top 5 films of ALL time. Temple of Doom was ok and Crusade was quite good. Yes Lucas fucked up with his CGI flying Monkeys etc but on its own it aint that bad. As long as there is no aliens in Indy V I will be a happy man.
  2. When you win the lottery its hard not to fall into a sense of arrogance - so its hardly surprising that some of their fans have become that However as many have pointed out, even when they were shit they still pulled a crowd and the fans stayed loyal. Vast majority of them are proper football fans. Even though that poznan fucking dance does my nut in. I dont like them but certainly dont hate them as much as the chavs, scum, bitters etc.... The lesser of numerous evils in my opinion.
  3. For this match i would go with (regardless of Man City result) Doni Kelly Coates Carra Aurelio Kuyt Spearing Henderson Downing Carroll Morgan (give the lad a go) Not one of the starting IX from the city match should start this game......
  4. Fucking hell. The man is just gone 33 not fucking 43! For a centre half he still has a couple of years of left in him at least and he reads the game so bloody well that this wont be a problem for him. not finished by a long shot
  5. 1) We won't finish in the Top 4 because we don't have a very good side Probably wont finish in the top 4 but the side and squad has improved significantly from last year. WE do have a decent side but does need improving. Thats fucking obvious to all. 2) Lucas and Adam is possibly the worst CM partnership in the Premiership. Bullshit 3) We've wasted £120m on ordinary transfers More Bullshit 4) We need Lucas out of the first team immediately. He is truly, truly shite. Our player of the season last year - more shite from you. 5) Henderson is a fucking embarrassment at RM, and should be played centrally or - preferably - not at all While he has yet to set the place alight he is 20 years old and 4 months into his career at the club. Remarks like that are embarassing 6) We need a dominant CM who can hold the side together. Cant argue with this - but our captain and central midfielder is out injured and back in 2 weeks time? 7) we still lack pace and penetration and without Suarez we would be below West Brom. While pace and penetration is an issue no way would we be below West Brom without Luis Our best signings have cost us £6m and £0m. And they being Bellamy & Enrique? While I agree they have been excellent buyt - our best buy by far has been suarez.
  6. Anyone just think its just pure bad luck that those pricks get easy draws? For all the conspiracy theorists out there - how can you rig a live draw on tv?
  7. Fowler V Brann Bergen back in the late 90's. Unreal that goal and just sums up the man - absoloute genius
  8. Would give it another couple of months and if you are still eligible then go for it.
  9. Top Post mate. Lots of well thought out and rational opinions there. Agree with everything you have said.
  10. Yep Latest ones doing the rounds are Bellamy and Yossi making returns to the club......
  11. It all depends on who is "in talks" about leaving the club before the transfer window. If the likes of Cole, Ngog, Aqua, Insua, Poulsen, Degen etc are all in with a chance of moving on then in no way would i play them as the chances of them getting injured and therefore keeping their smell of shitness at the club is just too big a risk. Also want some of the new lads to get more game time and carroll needs more than most Taking that into consideration i go for: Doni Flanno Skrtel Wilson Aurelio/Robbo Henderson Spearing Adam Maxi Carroll Downing
  12. So a team comprising of our 2nd and 3rd choice players (Carroll apart) have lost 3-0 away to Galatasary in a pre season friendly. Granted it aint what we want but talk about over fucking reaction by some.

Thanks for all the feedback and opinions everyone. Really appreciate the info. As stated at the start of this thread this is very new to me and the missus so finding out as much as we can from other peoples experience helps us a great deal. Denis - Thanks for posting. Appreciate your opinions. I really hope you are right mate (my kid is fine). However everything is pointing to autisim in some share or form. We expect the diagnosis to be on the lower end of the spectrum (we hope). Worth pointing out that its not just speech and language where he seems very much behind but general communication skills (for a 3 1/2 year old), body language and he appears to have sensory issues. Having spent a fortune on various private sessions with lots of different people all opinions are at this stage showing that he is on the spectrum. If this was 20 years ago people wouldn't have said anything other than my boy is lazy and he will eventually speak in his own time. Granted these days people are too quick to put a label on things but we cant bury our heads in the sand and pretend that there is something not quite right. Will know alot more over the coming weeks. Thanks again to all..... Conor

Thanks mate Had the epilepsy thing checked out quite recently. (The missus suffers from it) All investigations came back negative. still gonna give it a good read. Might give me some insight as to why the missus is such a nutter :-)

Bump The young lad has been accepted into whats referred as An early intervention Team. Basically a team comprising of a psycologist, Occupational Therapist and a Speech & Language therapist will work with him to help him get along. Been waiting well over 6 months to get to this point but light at the end of the tunnel. Started to get more involved in Autism action groups aswell. idea is to meet up with other parents who are going through similar shit. Amazing how a couple of conversations with people who have the experience can help you. Also trying to get involved in the raising money side of things. Took part in a charity football match yesterday and raised just under a grand from the day. Got the whole family involved. Small steps but steps nonetheless. PS I'm proper fucked from the footie yesterday. cant move a muscle.
  16. Was on a flight back and forth over the last few days (heathrow - Singapore) so had lots of spare time...... Heres a few of the highlights: Unknown: Was expecting Taken the sequel but never really got going. Was ok. 5/10 The Dilemma: Love Vince Vaughn but Old Skool it aint. Supposed to be a comedy but hardly any laughs. 2/10 The Adjustment Bureau: Interesting concept and some good performances. Lacks something. 6/10 Alien: First time seen it and was slightly disappointed with it considering its legacy. Still a good watch 7/10 Just Go with it; Was expecting rubbish but quite enjoyed it. Adam Sandler is quality in it. 7/10 I am Number 4: Was expecting a typical American high school yarn but was enjoyable. The gash in it is great too. 6.5/10 Fast & Furious: I think this is number four in the franchise. Usual stuff and watchable. 6/10 American History X: One of the All time greats. Amazing amazing film. 9.5/10

Thanks Mate - you seem to be in a similar position to us. We have had our lad seen by speech and therapy specialists (expensive as fuck) for around 6 months now. Our GP and others have said he isnt autistic in the sense that he is outgoing and affectionate to others (not only his parents). However he is not communicating the way he should be for his age. He apparently has the communication skills of an 18 month old and hes gone 3 since March. At least we have got the lad help from an early age which is great and fingers crossed things will improve over the coming weeks and months.

Thanks mate - the advice helps no end. Im still tying to figure out all about the spectrum and what the resources are that we can avail of. To be honest I couldnt give a fuck what other people think. I know people say that but believe me i couldnt. However I will when my boy starts to wonder why people are looking at him differently. Questioning why he is acting strange. What is his problem etc. Thats going to be the real kick in the nuts. Roll with the punches and get on with it etc... No point in feeling sorry for the lad. Hes got a life to lead and its up to me and his mum to ensure he gets the best out of it. Just wondering at what age your daughter was diagnosed with it?

Thanks for the info - some really good stuff there. I had heard about the gluten free diet and it is something that me and the missus are looking into. Im quite philosophical about the whole thing. It is what it is and my boy is his own lil man and this is part of his makeup. I hate the label but at the end of the day we cant hide from it. I know it will get harder as he gets older and other kids start to make comments about him. But if all he has is communication difficulties and sensory needs then im in. There are plenty of children who are in far worse situations than my boy. Hes happy, healthy, affectionate, lots of fun and to me they are all far more important attributes to have in life. There will be lots of difficult times ahead but with all the help of the health service (Im in Ireland by the way), friends, family, private care etc we will get him all the help that he needs. Appreciate all the info supplied by everyone. YNWA.

My boy has shown lots of signs of repetitive behaviour that is highly annoying. He doesnt know right from wrong. Sometimes i just think we are over reacting as he is only 3 and we should let him just be himself. But at the same time we cant ignore the signs which are begining to appear. Just a quick question - is your sis aware that she has this issue?

Yeah he has been assessed by speech and language specialists, occupational therapists and is due to be looked at by a psycologist. While no definite diagnosis has been made it seems like that he is on the autisim spectrum.
