  1. And then something completely different on RTE!!
  2. No mate, the playing field has to be equal, no team is going to lead the way on this. I agree with the sentiment but it is the job of the ref's and administrators to tell players to stop doing it through their actions.
  3. An outstanding cameo tonight. Not just the penalty run and his goal but he seemed to have a good touch and purpose in his tricks. After the anonimity of the Emerates last week this is great. I hope this is a night that is a launch pad to him begining to fulfill his promise. For the sceptics I hope it is some evidence to relieve some of your concerns.
  4. Funny as fuck but of course every time Souness tried to make a considered contribution to counter Brady's 'it's so unfair rants', O'Herlihy cut him off. My wife even commented on it and she knows shag all!!!
  5. Irish pub on the main street opposite Tivoli Gardens is very good. Pace yourself and watch out for the Carlsberg Gold!!!! Goooood stuff that!
  6. Unfortunately you can draw a direct comparison with the lads going at Neville when he was taking throw ins. You think they weren't suggesting he fucks his mother or something along those lines. It's all wrong. They have no opportunity to reply! Stewards need to report it, then fuck them out of their season tickets if they have them.
  7. ....wouldn'y have scored in a brothel today even if you'd have lent him a grand!
  8. Get yourself some patience lad. Oh yeah and some manners little boy!!!!!! Go back to the offal forum!:wallbutt:
  9. He would partner Hansen in my all time 11. Hughes would be able to play at full back and was an outstanding player. Never saw Yeats but Sami would have fitted Shankly's plan I think. He is similar (but much better) to what i saw of Larry LLoyd who replaced Yeats and superceded Thompson. In an age when football has lost so much credibility due to the pathetic antics of the players on and off the field Sami stands out as a totally top guy. Fantastic, new contract and a job for life the least he deserves.
  10. Paul Gascoine Paul McGrath - no fixed abode!!!!!!!! Mike Tyson Ali All had a lot and then had nowt at times so it does not follow!
  11. He owns the whole street his family live on He has his own racing yard He's a multi multi milionaire He does what he wants when he wants and the next 10 generations of his family will be able to do the same Imagine where he would be if he were a bright cookie FFS:wallbutt:
  12. FFS lads move on!! He got a better offer. Don't think Rafa saw him in his teams - not a work horse! For me he is a lagend because he did what he did while playing for us. So what he moved on. Would any of you seriously not taken the chance to go to the then best team in Europe at that time? And at that time who saw number 5 coming? Christ some of the people HE let down actually walked out on the team at half time in Istanbul and in fact contiue to leave early if the game goes badly. No one boos them asnd they always get a welcome back!! Loyalty is not a word for football in the main and so few show it it is unfair to slate people who don't. He was a brilliant player for us, total support from me:yes:
  13. He got fucked over at Madrid to be honest. I watched pretty much all his games and he was excellent. Meanwhile Raul was muck (he seems to have had a renaisence) but is undroppable apparently. He seemed to panick alright in choosing Newcastle, but it probably seemed his only option at the time. I feel no bitterness towards Michael Owen, in fact quite the opposite. He had a massive say in the treble which allowed me to finnally say to my lad thats why when you were 4 and said you were gonna support man u cause all the other kids did at school I made you sleep outside!!!!
  14. Thought Neville Southall was great - got fat and still great. Giggs Barry at Villa
  15. I think that if you take all the mom threads and collate them Steven Gerrard would clearly come out on top. Torres is just plain exciting!!!!! It is understandable that the two should struggle a little. How tired would any of us get carrying 9 other blokes for 4 months!!!! I think tho that Sammi has been incredible after a shaky start. He has had to learn his game all over to survive against the best.
  16. He was awesome. When you look at footage look at what he did on the pitches he played on. Like Pele he got the shit kicked out of him and just got on with it. Never got world reknown because NI were poor back then. I think he was better than Kruyff because he was more instinctive. Don't think you can say who was the best cos they were in the main from different eras. All were different class.
  17. What's this elitist crap? If you don't have time to post 200 times a day you are not interested in their opinion? Please define hard core!!! And also why it is important!
  18. Carra may as well have said nothing. Has SG even been asked the question in interview this week???
  19. They are not at the end of their careers would be one massive reason for not criticising your employers. Wouldn't be surprised to learn that Sammi did this on behalf of the players!
  20. I said yes on the basis that the owners don't change. He has clearly been undermined and this will not get better and his position will be untenable and the teams morale will be ever more effected. I hate what has happened. Change of owner then the story will be different.
  21. You may have missed my sarcasm!!!! When Houlier was under pressure there were not sides to be stuck between. To suggest that he would de stabalise the dressing room is a disgrace and he is such a no mark being given massive air space. Perhaps he asked SG for an autograph once and got told to fuck off!!!!!
