  1. Two banks of four and counter-attacking does work and will win trophies but experience says it has a shelf life of a few years. We played this way under Ged and I'm astounded some want us to regress.
  2. He was spot on about Night of the Demon (failed to mention there's two cuts), it's a great chiller from an old M.R. James tale. Of the Hammer films, I've always loved The Devil Rides Out which is a rollicking good tale.
  3. We look a million miles now from where Rafa had us as a team people dreaded getting in the CL draw - sadly he couldn't reproduce that form in the league. He did a great deal for us but it was time to go and he should concentrate on Inter.

  5. I wanted rid of Rafa and Purslow. If after an 'exhaustive search' the best manager you can muster is Roy Hodgson then you've no business being at a football club. He's also a bullshitter. We need a fresh start as the club is still in turmoil due to the remnants of the H&G remaining.
  6. Gone a bit want-to-be-the-next-U2. Far too polished production.
  7. There's a cover of him trashing the Pixies - Where Is My Mind? on Youtube - from a certain tabloid so I wont post it.
  8. I'm not too fussed about players but want to see a revolution in our approach to the game and leave behind the pragmatism and caution of recent managers and get back a simple passing game with a degree of flair. Stop worrying about what the opposition might do and impose ourselves - tho I don't mean KK style negligence of defending. Also players that possess pace and basic skills rather than a 'good engine' and inability to trap a bag of cement.
  9. Think it's bull stemming from that site that reckoned Rijkaard was joining in Jan.
  10. I wouldn't object to any of them. Whoever wants to see football played on the deck, wants to play positively, has good man-management skills and can handle the pressure.
  11. Most people would come to that conclusion but Roy lives in his 'feted manager' 'coveted' '35 years' fantasy. The media admiration does seem to have inflated his ego and Blackburn is erased from his memory.
  12. Way to kill off our identity and give Everton a massive boost. *slow handclap*
  13. Not the worst by a long stretch. The trouble is we are becoming more defensive with each year - if we retreat much further the backline will be standing on Anfield Rd.
  14. The DVD should be released midweek.
  15. I've some sympathy with you as part of me feels this isn't the way Liverpool do things. But offset against that, most of those I hear saying stick with Roy are either not Liverpool fans or have a xenophobic agenda. I'd give Roy more time if he felt like one of 'us', but he doesn't.
  16. You can't win. Act quickly and it's kneejerk, act slowly and it's being driven by events rather than having foresight. I'd love to know what he has done to give you any faith? Silverware in the Nordics? He looks the worst LFC manager I've ever seen - Souness was pants but at least wasn't this negative.
  17. Unless we can start getting 3 points relegation with Woy is a genuine possibility.
  18. feck off, hire a 'football' manager not hoof merchant.
  19. No desire and no craft thus far.
  20. The landscape of then club the and now has changed. The most common dismissal of a good manager during the summer was that we're skint and the owners are cunts that nobody in their right mind would work for. It remains to be seen what NESV's vision is but I'm afraid to be successful you often have to be ruthless.
  21. Ace? It looks like architectural version of cut n paste. From what I gather 55k is the Anfield limit to stay within planning regs.
