  1. Couldn't agree more and if you add Clarkson to that quartet you have a ready made excuse for a justifiable mass homicide on humanitarian grounds.
  2. The measure of a true gentleman. I will be supporting Inter all the way in the CL next season really hope Rafa can help Inter retain the trophy. Adios Rafa.
  3. I'd get used to finishing there. If we are lucky enough to finish seventh next season with an inferior manager you'll probably be raving about how well he has done on limited resources and that there is a lot to build on for 2011/12. Despite the problems on an off the field during last season his departure will only worsen an already critical situation. Unless there is a billionaire investment waiting in the wings to step in for the club (somehow I doubt it but we can all dream) it could not have come at a worse time. Yesterday was a very sad day.
  4. The "safety dance" beat I mentioned previously is coming out as part of this.... J. Dilla Donut Shop Serato Vinyl Set + “Safety Dance” MP3 « HipHopSite.com link has a free download of it available......
  5. Gotta love Dilla and have a lot of his material there are a couple of beats I've been trying to get hold of for a while now.... Human nature beat There's also his version of "the Safety Dance", I've only heard Banji B and J Rocc playing both of these does anybody know if they have ever been released or if they can be downloaded anywhere?
  6. Massive attack certainly lost something after Protection and has Paul has quite rightly stated its the soulful side of their sound which I think gave them more edge and appeal to different tastes. I think Mushroom leaving the group may have had something to do with it. Blue Lines is an outstanding record I remember being blown away the first time I heard Unfinished Sympathy played real loud in a club. It remains IMHO the greatest UK hip hop album of all time. As artists I'm not against them experimenting, the dub version of Protection with the Mad Professor was great, but I can't help feeling they've disappeared up their own arses a bit musically. I've read that Del Naja wants to be more involved in movie soundtracks and I can see their more recent output fitting that bill. I remember Daddy G working in a record shop in Bristol many moons ago! In fact he was still behind the counter even after they got in the charts. Nice fella.
  7. I recall thinking it was going to be his a watershed after he let Anelka go and then binned Jari, was downhill from there really apart from one league Cup final win against United which as has already been pointed out only ended up prolonging the agony.........
  8. Seaview - shitty kids comedy/drama set in Blackpool starring Yvette Fielding from Most Haunted.
  9. Basketball is a "semi-contact" sport and there is quite a lot of physical contact, particularly off the ball and when rebounding the ball after shooting. Zonal defences are illegal in the NBA so they have to mark man to man and this leads to all sorts of pushing holding and pulling taking place in and around the basket area that the refs let go- a bit like the penalty area before a corner! Obstructing or "screening" a player is legal and commonplace and so many of the game's greats achieved legendary status because of their incredible physical strength and power as well as their ball skills. "King" LeBron James is an example of this.
  10. would love to see the celtics do it again but can't see them getting past the cavs cavs v lakers in the finals with lakers to sneak it
  11. In My Element by Robert Glasper is a very good recent release.
