  1. Thought Gerrard played well in the middle, seemed more disciplined and timed his run perfectly for the goal. Agree with one or two others that Zenden did well, but then again i have always thought the criticism of him has been over the top, he can certainly offer something in the middle, also nice to see Garcia back, with Speedy out for a while he will have a big role to play over the coming weeks and certainly adds something different, top quality cross for the second goal as well.
  2. Great post there Agent Smith, i too lurked for a while to get the feel of the place before posting, when i first joined there were some great discussions and some top quality humour, it was a place where you could get good debate, yeah there were those that were as mad as cheese, but they had something to offer. These days most threads descend into a stream of bickering and insults, there are a few who you can have a could discuss things with and there are a couple of loons who lighten the place in their own style, but agree something has to be done and maybe encourage some regulars of the past who no longer post back on board, and return to some sort of order, or at least somewhere i can visit when we have lost.
  3. You also failed to get the word gaylord into your post, most dissapointing.
  4. This thread sums up what's wrong with this place at the moment.
  5. Whatever the team we need to go out from the first minute and tear into them, play with a high tempo and impose ourselves on the game, let them worry about us. They are a poor side at the moment and we need to let them worry about us. attack, attack, attack attack attack Let's start to get this away form sorted, we have a good team with good players and shouldnt be worrying about the likes of Middlesborough.
  6. I think he is right up with the best in the world, but could still improve. He is struggling at the moment as are the rest of the team, but it's surely just a dip in form. As for the England thing, any player would struggle to look half decent in a team that has so many players lacking in technical ability and who fail so miserably to keep possession for any length of time.
  7. At the moment i would say left wing, although i still think Gonzalez will come good. As for the full backs, i think we should make serious moves for Richards and the left back at Southampton (Bale i think his name is) both look very decent prospects, although both would be over-priced.
  8. Something a bit different might be interesting Reina Finnan Carra Agger Riise/Warnock Gerrard Alonso Zenden/Riise Bellamy Crouch Kuyt Worth a look i reckon, Middlesborough are shite after all.
  9. Personally i think Pepe is a top class keeper who has been struggling for form, the defence have been struggling all season not giving him the protection any keeper requires, add that to some blatent howlers and his confidenceis probably shot to pieces. I might be wrong but as a unit we seem to be defending a bit deeper this year which isnt helping either. So many people on here are too quick to write off a player after a bad spell of form it's disgraceful.
  10. You sir are a complete buffoon. you ctritcise people for not being able to have an intelligent deabte when you yourself are incapable of such things. You say sack the manager but have no concept of who we should replace them and why you think they would do a better job, that is total nonsense, when someone criticises your opinion you respond with insults. The manager has made mistakes this year, no doubt about that, as did Paisley, Fagan and Dalglish before him. In my opinion Rafa is the best man for the job, he takes some reponsibility for that but the players must also take some repsonsibility. If you think Rafa should be replaced, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it, but at least think about what you are saying and have some sort of reasoned argument before you post, if that is beyond you then please go away and don't waste people's time.
  11. Too early to tell if Rafa made a mistake on Pennant or not, unlike some i am not going to write the guy off the early in his Liverpool career. i would disagree, at the moment Zenden is worse than Pennant. I dont believe Rafa doesnt rate Gerrard as a centre midfield player, but even if he did why on earth should he come out and say it? that would really help wouldnt it?
  12. Thats not the fucking point at all! the point is Rafa obviosuly thinks Gerrard can hurt teams more coming from the right, by the way how often was he out there today? second pennant has been fucking awful leaving him no choice but to play Gerrard there, cant you see that?
  13. I am not getting into a big argument where you just repeat the same old tired argument, but players have been known to change postions now and again. Ray Kennedy was a centre forward who ended up playing midfield, Henry was a winger when Wenger brought him. The season before Zenden signed for us he played centre midfield and had a good season, Gerrard may prefer centre midfeild but he is still the best right midfield player at the club.
  14. Zenden wasnt the worse player on the pitch today by a long way, as others have said at least he tried, but i guess he is an easy target so every time he plays if we dont do well he will get abuse. As for Gerrard playing in the middle, who the hell will play right side then cos Pennant (after a decent first game) has shown nothing at all to convince me he is good enough.
  15. Not really that fussed about these sorts of things, but Jermaine Jenas? he is probably the worse footballer i have seen at any level, yet get picked by his club and in the national squad, mind boggling.
  16. WIth Momo out for a while i think three at the back could be a good option for us.
  17. On current form i think Bolo deserves a run in centre midfeild more than Pennant deserves a run on the right, therefore i would go with Bolo and Alonso in the middle.
  18. Fair enough, but dont just insult him, he drives me mad at times but i find nothing more tiresome then people throwing insults on the internet, it really serves no purpose.
  19. Do we need to have three threads on the go with Rash and a n other trading insults?
  20. Seems to me Rah woke up this morning with the glass half empty outlook on the world. The investment issue is a very very important issue, porbably the most important of the clubs history, so it has to be right. Liverpool Football Club isnt like any other, we have our own standards and class, we have a history that cant be rivalled by any other club, we are not just a football club but an institution. That history and the Liverpool way of doing things needs to be preserved in my opinion. Would rather have Moores and Parry for all their faults they understand the club and the way we do things. Its not about who can throw the most money at us so the sky generation of fans can brag to their mates about how much we spent on the latest overpirced overhyped superstar. Money needs to be generated to compete in the transfer market i understand that, but i am sorry and shout me down if you like but i would rather finish second or third in the league and pick up some cups doing things the Liverpool way and retain our ethics while we wait for the right man than win the league on the back of huge sums of money from someone who knows fuck all about who we are. Sorry if that sounds like a load of old rubbish but you get my jist.
