  1. Agree with this, and think we should go further and state what clubs he's not going to be sold to - assuming our hand is strong with his contract.
  2. Maybe something gets lost in translation but it does only seem to be foreign players who cite broken promises and verbal agreements. I'd never normally suggest such things about foreign vs British players but it's hard to ignore. I dunno but wonder if their agents are more inclined to bullshit them for some reason??
  3. In view of any response to the contrary I'll assume for now that you're making this up as you go along.
  4. Nope. As feared in my earlier reply to this, Premier League rules (T30) state that EITHER party can ask the PL to get involved in a contract dispute. Seen it with my own eyes.
  5. I hope you're right but from reading old articles about the Heinze to Liverpool case I'm not convinced. I couldn't have imagined the Mancs agreeing to arbitration and from what I've read it seems possible that the player asked the Premier League to intervene and they were allowed to do so as written in the rules. I hope our lawyers are all over this.
  6. I'm talking about the football authorities (FA or Premier League) who might be asked to make a decision on this, not the players union or that slimey fucker.
  7. Serious question - is there any foundation to this? Or just a scenario you've imagined?
  8. I think he's probably a bit delusional at the moment. Let's face it his behaviour on the pitch sometimes points towards mental disturbances, this could just be an extension. If he considers arsenal to be a significant step up then he's deffo lost it.
  9. He's hoping his threats in this interview have the desired effect without having to resort to give up his bonuses.
  10. The worry is, of course, that there is some credence in this 'verbal agreement' talk and he'll get the football authorities involved and they never waste an opportunity to fuck LFC over.
  11. Djokovic had a bad day, shit happens. Andy had a great day, hence the 3-0 win. Andy could quite possibly have won with both players at their best, they are very evenly matched. Of all the players to criticise for lack of effort Djokovic is NOT one of them, he just had a bad day.
  12. So made up for the lad, great to see a normal British/Scottish fella win the most recognisable title in his sport, great to see him show the plum gobs how it's done as despite what some people think he is not from privilege. In fact many international tennis players make it to the top despite coming from difficult backgrounds, it's only in this shitty country that it's a snobs game.
  13. No, but Southampton have agreed a fee for him.
  14. Have you thought about using those bbq foil trays so the food is not directly in the rack? It doesn't take away from the flavor imo.
  15. Stu, you live in Manc don't you? There's a place at Linnyshaw Mill, M28 (Worsley/Walkden area) called Brooklyn Trading that sells decorating stuff (seconds I think), they also sell all kinds of tiles and kitchen worktops. It's the kind of place that can be shit one day and great the next, they get what they get, but might be worth a visit. There's also a discount furniture shop on the same site, John Lewis, M&S stuff etc.
  16. I was hoping we'd have two good keepers for next season, Mingolet providing proper competition for Reina until he moved to Barca in 12 months. However, now that Barca have signed ter Steegen for next year this won't pan out so I expect Reina to move on this summer, no idea where to though.
  17. Exactly. Another good keeper would give Pepe the competition he's needed for a number of years, even if he decides to leave in 12 months he won't want to mess up his next move by losing his first team place at LFC, so will up his game. Cup matches and the promise of being first choice at LFC in 12 months isn't a bad deal.
  18. Let's face it, either way he'd be getting slagged off by sections of our support, he can't win because he wants out. I personally wish he hadn't give the media the satisfaction of knowing they helped drive him out, but if the alternative is saying LFC aren't good enough for him at this time then I'm glad he didn't go down that route. Out of respect for those who have supported him though he should stop speaking now, otherwise that support and goodwill will disappear.
  19. For those who have read the books, it's there likely to be enough substantial material left of A Storm of Swords to fill a whole ten episode series 4? Or does it seem possible series 4 may cover the remains of A Storm of Swords and the start of A Feast for Crows?
  20. He must have had one of those fake blood capsules they use in rugby.
  21. I don't get the feeling that's the case here, Mancini never struck me as someone who thought he had to have a decent relationship with the players. Whether that's because his heart wasn't in the City job (who could blame him?) or maybe it's just his style, who knows? Danny Mills take on it: BBC Sport - Roberto Mancini 'just ignored players from day one at Man City'
