Personally I'd start with Baros with Kewell just behind him. Have Warnock playing left-midfield and Garcia on the right.

Barca didn't spend £40 Million on one player-they bought in Guily, Eto, Deco (and maybe a few others) plus they got Larsson in on a free. They've certainly no shortage of attacking midfielders anyhow!

Someone posted on the RAOTL forum a few days ago saying that he went into the Blue Leopard lapdance club in town on Friday night and saw Igor in there with a friend looking very glum. Presumably Rafa told him that he wouldn't be in the squad for the West Brom game earlier on that day hence him going out to "drown his sorrows" if he was in fact drinking there! Personally I can't see Igor still being a Liverpool player this time next year.

I remember when Harry skinned Terry first game of the season-put a right-footed shot/cross across the face of goal afterwards. BTW Carra has scored more than one goal for the reds. He scored on his debut in '97 against Villa, then scored against Villa 98-99 season when we won 4-2 with Robbie netting a hat-trick plus didn't he score against M'Boro a few years back at the Riverside?

I remember having mixed feelings when we first signed him. I was fairly excited after seeing his performance against France in the World Cup but I still wanted to sign Anelka which, of course, we didn't! He started off well but then he went home for a week or so as his step-father was ill and when he came back he'd lost his place in the side to Baros and was behind Heskey aswell as Owen. Can't remember seeing him play up-front since approx. September 2002 and he was bought as a striker! Last season he started off really well (gave Chelski the run around on the opening day after coming off the bench and then tore both Everton and Blackburn to shreds) but he has been far too inconsistent since then. He has plenty of tricks but does not have the pace needed to be a true attacking force in the PL. I think that we could get approx. £5Million for him from a European side and, if offered that kind of sum, I'd take it like a shot! Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and move on.

I wouldn't drop Scholes-I'd play him just off Owen with a midfield of Gerrard and Lampard in the centre, Beckham on the right and Dyer/Cole on the left. Keep Rooney on the bench and bring him on with 20-25 mins to play if needs be.

I'm not that convinced by ALT on the right but think he's probably our best option for that position. I'd give him a bit of freedom though!

A huge plus point of a new manager is that he will not have any qualms about playing the youngsters such as Welsh and Semmy over the likes of Diao and Finnan as he never bought the latter mentioned players into the club himself-therefore he'll find it easier to drop them.

Figo can play in the centre aswell as on the right so would provide us with options. Having said that I think that if Real were to sell him he'd go to Chelski as they are also in the market for a right-midfielder and they've got the cash!

Priority Ticket Scheme. It enables you to purchase tickets for home matches before they go on general sale. I think there are 10,000 people on this scheme yet only 5,000 tickets are made available for home games for people on the PTS. Also I think there is a waiting list to be on it!

Do agree with what you are saying though as most of the players GH has brought into the club seem to have, in terms of ability, either stood still or gone backwards. Diouf, Cheyrou, Diao and Finnan are prime examples of this.
