    A great performance from him tonight, but an awful Villa midfield gave him twice as much time on the ball as most teams will. He needs to give us that kind of quality every game now. He's still learning but has a long way to go. Still wouldn't get into any top 10 side.

    I feel the same about Skrtel, it's only a matter of time before refs start giving penalties against him. I bet if we get Phil Dowd he'll give one just because he's seen Skrtel holding on TV. He looks like he should dominate in the air and chip in with goals from set pieces like Nemanja VD itch, but he seems to have gone backwards.

    You obviously haven't been watching us over the last 3 years then, Dossena? the only Italian defender who can't defend. Insua? His first line of defending is to try and hold onto the wingers' arm as he ran past him as he is painfully slow.

    Young's not a brilliant player, but at least he's comfortable in the premier league. When Rafa brought in Insua, Degen, Josemi, and Dossena there was no "shitstorm" because we had never heard of them and had no idea that they couldn't cut it in our league.

    This just in the Echo: Liverpool midfielder, Steven Gerrard is just one of numerous Reds who are extremely doubtful for Sunday's vital clash with Chelsea. The Reds' skipper missed training this morning with what is being reported as a hangnail on his index finger, his place is expected to be taken by 16 year old Jimmy Price from the Liverpool youth team. Furthermore, vice captain Jamie Carragher is also a major doubt, the rock in Liverpool's defence was quoted this morning as admitting, "My car is a mess, insects stuck to the grill, fingerprints all over the windows, and the inside could do with a good vacuuming. I religiously give it a good wash on Sunday morning, I'm far too busy during the week." Other Reds gutted to be missing out on the big game are Pepe Reina, Glen Johnson and Javier Mascherano; Reina can't find a babysitter, Johnson has been putting off some home improvement for weeks, while Mascherano races remote controlled boats Sunday mornings.

    I bought that Torres shirt from Sam Dodds a few weeks back, I had to take it off after 65 minutes today, It was exhausted.
