I know what you mean Section. Every town centre has the same shops. Independent stores don't exist anymore. It is the same with pubs, restaurants and even newsagents now. Only the big, big chains will exist in 30 years time, probably in retail parks 20 minutes drive from the town centre.
Regarding Woolworths, it has been completely obselete for 15 years now. In my youth I would buy all of my music from there. They have probably been borrowing money on a massive scale for the past decade and that luxury has now gone.
For one foolish second at the beginning of this financial bullshit, I dared to think it would mean the government could look at the way it has allowed the homogeny of chains to thrive and town centre culture stagnate and reverse the damage done. No. Tesco will probably swallow up all of the empty Woolworths retail stores as they attempt to take over the retail world with no concerted attempt from anybody to stop them.
