Young red shines for England

16 year old Academy winger Ryan Kent has made a fine start to the season at club level and has now taken his talents to the international stage, hitting three goals in two games for England under 18s in the last week.

The Oldham born youngster has been with the Reds since the age of nine and can play on either flank or as a 'number 10'. He's quick, skilful and his delivery from wide areas is excellent. He's naturally two footed and even takes corners from both sides with either foot.

Along with fellow winger Harry Wilson - recently called up to the full Wales squad for their World Cup qualifying matches - Ryan has been in terrific form for Liverpool's under 18s this season.

Last week he marked his England u18 debut with the winning goal a 2-1 win over Hungary, and yesterday followed it up with a brace as well as an assist in a 4-0 win, also against the Hungarians.

Depends if he's eligible to play for anyone else, like Sterling was.  Wales are probably scared of losing Wilson, apparently Lloyd Jones has told them he wants to play for England.

Kent is very good though.  I saw him play last year for the u18s and he looked really skilful but he just couldn't get away from anybody as they were stronger and quicker than him.  He's grown a bit since then and now he's beating players and they are staying beaten.

He's been brilliant at times for the 18s this year.

I'd imagine Wilson will get a few minutes in the Belgium to lock him in to Wales. Otherwise I don't know why they called him up.

That's what I was thinking.  Especially after the Lloyd Jones thing.
