The amount of shite that spews from parents watching kids sport is shameful. I used to coach kids under 7 s and under 9 footy in S. Africa and, altho’ under 7 was fine , the nonsense started at under 9 , home refs making outrageous calls and aggressive spectators at an age when we were trying to get kids to fall in love with the game.

Maybe, but IMO it started out with good intentions and has now become a cash cow . That 9 billion is expected to grow to 30 billion in the next 10 years which suggests its a nice business opportunity as many companies and institutions tick the box.

Depends at what level you are talking about. You can still find some good amateur games, not sure about the UK though.
