  1. Oh sorry. Didn't know it was ice hockey he is playing in the Europa league. Thanks for letting me know any goal or penalty scored outside the premier league is immediately irrelevant.
  2. No, he doesn't have a 100% miss record. He scored one earlier this season. And he had a 100% success rate with penalties until the one he missed vs Chelsea. I think it was 12 scored from 12 before that game.
  3. I see you're cleverly limiting it to only "starts". Why not use "appearances" which would take into account games in which he came on as a sub. I'm not implying that he played in almost every game but by specifically choosing "starts", the analysis of his availability can be easily skewed to make the situation worse than it truly is.
  4. Not only is it bollocks, the math is also fucking wrong. Sorry, triggered nerd over here.
  5. Yes, pace. Trent is quite quick as evidenced on recovery runs or counter attacks. Not sure how you've missed that after watching this team for more than 5 years. Let me jog your memory with a clear recent example. When Salah broke for the 5 v 2 counter attack vs Arsenal at Anfield, who bust a gut to get up alongside him before unfortunately hitting the crossbar? And I'm sorry if I expect my attacking midfielder to have attacking attributes which can help us win games more often than not. Thankfully he also isn't injury prone like certain "top midfielders" we have in the squad.
  6. Oh yeah. Apart from world class playmaking skills, ability to score from distance, pace and brilliant setpiece delivery.
  7. Endo apparently reported back for training on Monday.
  8. Great post, LeBron. I also posted in the match report thread about Van Dijk getting less heat than he deserved. His high standards had started dipping even before the game on Sunday. He was the biggest contributor to our lack of tempo and played at walking pace for huge parts of the first half. Against Norwich, he didn't go close down a player who was approaching with intent to shoot. Let him shoot while waving a lazy leg, bang - goal. The Chelsea goal, he could have done better too. And also gave Tierney two chances to award penalties against us, if the cunt had wanted to. The sloppy, lackadaisical actions had been piling up before van Dijk's shitshow on Sunday. The hope is he is now ready again to do the dirty graft which he had mostly done till recently.
  9. You are balanced enough to recognise that him getting skinned doesn't mean he doesn't care or he has become too big for his boots. This is the same player who picked an injury during the Arsenal FA cup game and stayed on to help us win it. The issue I have is people who think he doesn't give a fuck and is acting a prima donna. His body language might be languid but he clearly cares. Even at right back there are many times this season he has busted a gut to defend properly. People just pick and choose what suits their narrative. I still believe he wasn't fully sharp against Arsenal on Sunday. I reckon he rushed back from his injury. We see with some players they don't get back into top rhythm straight after recovering from injury, even if they have trained a few times. And I think he is one of them.
  10. Rewriting history there. We were not pathetic in Paris. We absolutely battered Madrid for long spells. The fact that Courtois was MOTM attests to it. Had to make 9 saves including a couple worldies.
  11. The biggest culprit for me was Van Dijk. Not even because of the errors. But in recent games he had started slipping back into the "too cool for school" sloppy mode. Not being sharp, not wanting to close down properly and not wanting to throw himself into last ditch challenges. Goals we conceded against Norwich and Chelsea are evidence. And on another Paul Tierney/Coote day, he would have given away two penalties against Chelsea. Basically, this shit show from Van Dijk had been coming. And I was fuming with him in the first half yesterday because he was slowing our tempo massively, playing at walking pace rather than setting the tone as captain. Being ultra-cool wasn't going to cut it yesterday. When we had Quansah and Konate in the FA cup, we got out with a clean sheet because of defenders who were ready to throw themselves at everything and get dirty. Fair play to Van Dijk for taking full responsibility after. Now he needs to humble himself on the pitch and deliver high levels which he had done this season until recently.
  12. El Pistolero. Trent did get skinned often when he was younger too. I reckon he's not really back to full fitness now though. Those blasting his "attitude" would do well to remember he was one of our better players when we knocked Arsenal out of the FA cup a few weeks ago. And he actually played on in that game after being injured. He made sure he stayed on to see us through. In those LFC TV off the field videos of interactions, quizzes and challenges with teammates, he is always ultra-competitive and really hates losing. I think it was Dave who rightly mentioned that his body language occasionally would make people think he doesn't care but he really does. Before he went off yesterday, he did try to make things happen. It just wasn't coming off because Arsenal stifled us and Trent couldn't make out balls to the channels due to lack of Darwin from the start. I would have pushed him into midfield rather than sub him off when we did. At least he would have been closer to goal and probably could have made something happen that way.
  13. I dont download but I always use Spotify to listen to the podcast. Hope they also feed into the numbers.
  14. Another enjoyable pod. When the talk was about Trent not having the type of game Bradley just had, Chris did well to point out recency bias. Trent certainly has had a few games in which his display has been completely dominant defensively and offensively. Most memorably in the 4 nil win at Leicester right after the club World Cup in 2019. Assisted twice and scored in that game. Back then, he was just a few months older than Bradley's current age too.
  15. Just to add that we need to give our team more credit at times. The talk of "West Ham didn't show up" and "Fulham didn't really try in the 2nd leg" doesn't tell the whole tale. Liverpool prevented both teams from turning up or gaining a foothold. First half yesterday, Fulham tried getting out but we kept strangling them, nicking the ball off them and then passing it around making them chase shadows. It wasn't for want of trying, we simply didn't give them a kick until Nunez and Mac Allister went off.
  16. Enjoyable episode. Found it funny how Chris firmly jibbed the croissant talk. That had the potential to add on another 5-10 minutes of pod time. I felt a bit robbed but it was understandable on his part.
  17. Yep, some of our fans are dickheads with the type of criticism they aim at Nunez. Utterly ridiculous shout from Code that "he should have retired on the spot if he missed the first one". As if it was a sitter. Even Salah his Messiah has missed easier chances than that 1st goal. Think I even saw someone here blaming the Bournemouth keeper for the first goal, saying most goalies would have kept it out. In other words, it was nothing to do with Nunez's cool and accurate placement (which we were told he doesn't have in his locker because he just loves blasting every shot with no finesse).
  18. Yeah, you would just click on their YouTube channel when the post match session goes live. LFC TV go is the mobile version of the official site and they also do live extensive post match coverage which always features interviews with Klopp and the players (which Redmen TV won't have).
  19. It's not a good thing imho. Said it elsewhere on the forum today, Ljinders needs to learn to be a bit guarded during press conferences. Especially if he aims to be Liverpool manager in the future. Just because you are full of passion and love for the game, you don't need to give away so much. Could have kept Fulham guessing a bit about who we would start at left back and right back. Rather, they now fully know what to prepare for in those areas.
  20. Lies. Stick to presentation of factual Salah stats which we all love you for.
  21. Yep, I'm not a fan of Ljinders either. Yeah, he is good at his job but he just grinds my gears. Talks and gives away too much. He really should learn how to give some guarded answers if he truly has aspirations of being a Liverpool manager one day. I still haven't heard of any other assistant coach anywhere else putting out a book while actively at a club. Klopp hasn't put out a book but Ljinders is there flogging his book and basically forcing players to have a copy in one of the most cringeworthy videos of Klopp's era.
  22. I actually don't mind the interruptions. There is more ebb and flow to the TLW pods rather than the dullness of other pods which are more structured. The main thing is you guys are not shouting at the top of your voices over each other, which is what happens often with other fan-led media.
