  1. As Dave put down, except Ince playing just behind Dalla Valle and Pepper partnering Irwin in central midfield.
  2. Ince is playing behind Dalla Valle, mate.
  3. To put another perspecive on it, this proved to once and for all that Rafa is not bothered about the Carling Cup. 0-3 at half-time, he has internationals like Alonso, Benayoun and Riera on the bench. Instead of putting on Alonso and Riera on at half-time for Plessis and N'Gog (use Babel up front) he puts on a 19 year old full back instead of Torres (who wasn't matchfit so fair do) after 56 minutes. 10 minutes later Xabi comes on and starting to take control of the midfield. Degen goes off injured, and while it is nice that Darby gets a chance (he and Insua should have started, but that's another story), with 2-4 down was it really a better chance that two fullbacks should turn this around rather that Benayoun and Riera? The coach I was on left 12.30, and was back in Liverpool 04.00. Matchticket and coach cost a combined £61. There was people there who had to go to work only a few hours afterwards. We know that Rafa wouldn't play a full strengt team in the Carling Cup, but I actually had an illusion that he would try to win with those he picked. Did he f**k, and those fans deserved better.
  4. Not half as good as the left back Zhirkov.
  5. "In theory, the money for Heinze should still be available, while a deal may have been agreed in principle for Carson to join Villa on a permanent deal in the summer." Just regarding the Heinze deal so was that going to be paid for by Riise going to Aston Villa, he had his suitcases packed and ready.
  6. Moved back up to Scotland a few years ago, and only comes down for the occational games these days I believe. Usually an European night at Anfield. Good man.
  7. Heinze is over 28, and have less than 2 years left on his contract, so he can buy himself out of that contract if he wants to.
  8. On Sky a few days ago: " Australia winger Nicky Rizzo has returned Down Under to play for A-League outfit Perth Glory after spending 11 seasons in Europe."

  10. Liverpool are the away team if we reach the final.

  12. Alright mate, Shanks was right half back, or wing half, as I used to be when I played as a kid in the WM system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formation_(football)#The_WM
  13. I thought Cisse was rubbish for 80 minutes, before Spector tired, and if he hadn't managed to get himself into an offside position for yet another time we would have won the match.
  14. Agree with Rashid on this, thought Kewell was the only one who really looked like he could create something a bit special.
