  1. Out Mac'd Gary Mac. The importance of a mature figure in the dressing room, he's such a professional as well. Congratulations to him for winning a real Premier League.
  2. Maybe I can get his support for my newly launched 'Null and void the champions league' campaign. I'm loving the salt, their heads have well and truly fallen off.
  3. What an incredibly selfless thing to do and an example of true love there, it really warms my heart. Here's to them both and what better way to recover than seeing your team clinch that league title.
  4. Life on Mars I'm sure I read that not was supposed to be one series, then they quickly changed it so they could stretch another series out of it. That may not be correct of course but it would help to explain why the second series and the ending was fucking shit.
  5. Actor Sam Lloyd, who appeared on several television shows and portrayed lawyer Ted Buckland on the comedy, "Scrubs," has died, his agent said. He was 56. Lloyd's television career included roles in "Desperate Housewives," "Seinfeld," "Modern Family," "The West Wing," "Cougar Town," "Malcolm in the Middle," and "Shameless," according to his agent. He also appeared in the films "Flubber" and "Galaxy Quest." His agent confirmed his death Friday night but did not provide details on the cause. Variety reported that he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and cancer last year, and it spread to his lungs and spine. It said he found out he had cancer weeks after his wife, Vanessa, gave birth to their firstborn.
  6. After Life series 2. Well I enjoyed series one, it wasn't bad at all. Then up comes Gervais with this pile of dog shit. True I only watched the first episode and part of the second but that was enough for me. Maybe it's the lockdown, maybe it's because I am watching Bosch and have just finished the brilliant Better Call Saul, I don't know. But After Life series 2 just seemed way stupid this time. Shame as I was looking forward to it, maybe it gets better. I won't be finding out.
  7. Revenue raising is hard in a lockdown.
  8. A TS10 can be far more serious to some insurance companies than an SP30.
  9. Even as China has sent in a medical team to North Korea to advise the leader, a Beijing-backed satellite TV channel's vice director, who is also a niece of a Chinese foreign minister, has claimed that Kim Jong Un is dead. Vice director of HKSTV Hong Kong Satellite Television told her 15 million followers on Weibo that her Kim Jong Un death claim was backed by a "very solid source." Her post on Weibo since then has been shared widely on social media. There is also a viral image that is being shared that claims to show Kim Jong Un lying dead inside a glass coffin. While these claims cannot be verified independently, the timing of it certainly makes one curious as now China has sent in a medical team. Reuters reported that China has dispatched a team to North Korea including medical experts to advise on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, according to three people familiar with the situation. At this point, until there is a report from either KCNA or other state media, there is no way to verify whether Kim Jong Un is alive or dead. Jean H. Lee, a senior journalist, who has spent considerable time in Pyongyang, April 25 would be a good day for Kim to make a public appearance. "It's a military anniversary in North Korea on April 25. Not a major milestone year but if Kim Jong Un wants to quell rumors about his health, it would be a good occasion to make a public appearance. If he doesn't, the rumor mill will go into overdrive again. Bracing myself," she said in a tweet. https://www.ibtimes.sg/china-medical-team-north-korea-tv-boss-kim-jong-un-dead-solid-source-43725

I stayed up all night wondering where the sun had gone, then it dawned on me.

    Joke!

I didn't think wearing orthopedic shoes would help, but I stand corrected.
  12. University of Louisville researchers have developed a technology that is believed to block the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 from infecting human cells. The technology is based on a piece of synthetic DNA – an “aptamer” – which targets and binds with a human protein called nucleolin. Early tests show that this aptamer may stop viruses, including novel coronavirus, from “hijacking” nucleolin to replicate inside the body. UofL is seeking to fast-track development, including application to the Food and Drug Administration for approval to start treating patients seriously affected with COVID-19. https://www.uoflnews.com/section/science-and-tech/uofl-breakthrough-technology-shows-promise-fighting-novel-coronavirus/
  13. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.1111/jocd.13443 A preliminary observation of high frequency of male pattern hair loss among admitted COVID-19 patients, and suggest that androgen expression might be a clue to COVID-19 severity The more testosterone you have, the more likely COVID-19 is to be serious. They note that men who go through treatment for male pattern baldness or other treatments that lower testosterone may be lower risk for severe cases. Clinically, this is treated as an anecdote... reliable findings that someone somewhere might want to research (and they will probably follow up with research when they get time/people/funding.) This raises the question of how younger men with almost double the testosterone level are not affected. Of course the usual risk factors they know about along with this might be the reason.
  14. i don’t mind people touching stuff, not everyone has 20/20 vision and sometimes people need to check what’s in it. I’d wipe everything from a shop anyway, I mean the shelf stackers don’t use mind control to place the produce. It’s the tards that stand with the glass freezer doors wide open while their feeble brains stare at the inside for five minutes, then close it and leave it misted up that need culling.
  15. SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was not gravely ill, two South Korean government sources said on Tuesday, following reports he had undergone a cardiovascular procedure and was now in “grave danger”. Kim was receiving treatment after undergoing the procedure, a South Korean media report said late on Monday, amid speculation over Kim’s health following his absence from a key anniversary event this month. The reports about Kim’s health are not true, two South Korean government sources said. The presidential Blue House said there are no unusual signs coming from the North. Daily NK, a Seoul-based speciality website, cited unidentified sources inside the isolated state saying Kim is recovering at a villa in the Mount Kumgang resort county of Hyangsan on the east coast after undergoing the cardiovascular procedure at a hospital on April 12. CNN reported that Kim was in “grave danger”. An authoritative U.S. source familiar with internal U.S. government reporting on North Korea questioned the CNN report that Kim is seriously ill, even though he has been out of the public eye for an extended period. There has been speculation over Kim’s health after he was absent from an event marking the anniversary of the birthday of its founding father and Kim’s grandfather, Kim Il Sung, on April 15. On April 12, North Korean state media reported that Kim Jong Un had visited an airbase and observed drills by fighter jets and attack aircraft. Two days later North Korea launched multiple short-range anti-ship cruise missiles into the sea and Sukhoi jets fired air-to-surface missiles as part of military exercises, South Korea’s military said. The missile tests were done on the eve of a national holiday in North Korea to celebrate the birthday of Kim Il Sung. U.S.-North Korea denuclearisation talks stalled at the end of 2019 and analysts say this year’s string of tests and military drills appear aimed at underscoring North Korea’s return to a more hard-line policy. Reporting from inside North Korea is notoriously difficult, especially on matters concerning the country’s leadership, given tight controls on information.
  16. (CNN)The US is monitoring intelligence that North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Un, is in grave danger after a surgery, according to a US official with direct knowledge. Kim recently missed the celebration of his grandfather's birthday on April 15, which raised speculation about his well-being. He had been seen four days before that at a government meeting. Another US official told CNN Monday that the concerns about Kim's health are credible but the severity is hard to assess. Daily NK, an online newspaper based in South Korea that focuses on North Korea, reports that Kim reportedly received a cardiovascular system procedure on April 12. Kim received the cardiovascular system procedure because of "excessive smoking, obesity, and overwork," according to the news site, and is now receiving treatment in a villa in Hyangsan County following his procedure. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/04/20/politics/kim-jong-un-north-korea/index.html SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is receiving treatment after undergoing a cardiovascular procedure early this month, a South Korean media report said, amid speculation over Kim’s health following his absence from a key anniversary event. North Korea marked the anniversary of the birthday of its founding father and Kim’s grandfather, Kim Il Sung, as a national holiday on April 15, but Kim was not seen in attendance. Daily NK, a speciality website run mostly by North Korean defectors, cited unidentified sources inside the isolated state saying Kim is recovering at a villa in the Mount Kumgang resort county of Hyangsan on the east coast after getting the procedure on April 12 at a hospital there. Reporting from inside North Korea is notoriously difficult, especially on matters concerning the country’s leadership, given tight controls on information. South Korea’s Unification Ministry, which handles inter-Korean affairs, declined to comment on the report. Kim’s health has deteriorated in recent months due to heavy smoking, obesity and overwork, the Daily NK report said. “My understanding is that he had been struggling (with cardiovascular problems) since last August but it worsened after repeated visits to Mount Paektu,” a source was quoted as saying, referring to the country’s sacred mountain. Kim left for the hospital after presiding over a meeting of the ruling Workers’ Party’s politburo on April 11, where Kim was publicly last seen, the report said. Pyongyang fired multiple short-range missiles last week which Seoul officials said were also part of the Kim Il Sung birthday celebration. Such military events would usually be observed by Kim, but there was no KCNA report on the test at all. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-northkorea-politics/north-koreas-kim-getting-treatment-after-cardiovascular-procedure-report-idUSKBN223011
  17. I bought my granddaughter a switch lite and animal crossing for her upcoming birthday. As I can't see her at the moment I had it delivered to my daughter's house and my granddaughter can use it straight away. I saw Pacific Wings is only 89p on the Nintendo shop and I loved that game, phoned the daughter to buy it and put it on the granddaughters switch, for when the plague is over.
  18. I'm not a big fan of Steve Coogan, nor Rob Brydon. But despite that I've enjoyed watching their little show about a couple of blokes touring around different places and eating. So I sat down to watch series 4, Greece. I managed the first two and I gave up part way through the 3rd episode. It's no wonder they said this would be the last one. I can go back to avoiding most things they are in now.
  19. I'm waiting until tonight, one each evening is the ration.
