  1. Keita not even in the squad, wow! OK supposedly illness but he took part in training yesterday wasnt it?
  2. Cant help feeling a bit sorry for these Napoli lads. On the end of a hiding in under 30 minutes. Some very good play by Liverpool here.
  3. Couldnt give a fuck how much they or us are worth 'off the field.' I just want us to be successful on the pitch. Yes, there's the question of their financial doping overall but this is just the city owners recouping some of their cash. So fuck 'em.
  4. I dont get why people slag Kane off. The lad knows where the goal is. And let's be honest, all players like to take a tumble if invited.
  5. Starting Sunday, Leicester have some piss easy games coming up before they play city and ourselves in the space of 5 days. They play everton (H), watford (H), Villa (A), Norwich (H). I cannot see them dropping any points before they play the two big games if Im honest and could be breathing down our necks seeing as our west ham game is postponed due to the Dubai jolly.
  6. Totally agree. The way games are going, Jurgen's sticking with the players he trusts the most to get the result. If we were battering teams 4 or 5-0, you could expect Jurgen to sling on Naby and Shaq for example on for a run out.
  7. A toss up between Pellegrini and Silva Id say and I think it's too close to call who'd go first. Flores at Watford will also be in the mix. Cannot see united sacking solskjaer. I think they'll soldier on with him to the end of the season and will have agreed with Pochettino to take over.
  8. I think Naby did himself no favours when he went to the ACON and played when he wasnt fit and got injured again. Im pretty sure Jurgen will have been well pissed off with that and if he could have, would have stopped him going. I think there's a player in there but due to his injuries, his career at Liverpool just hasnt got going. It looked like it had started to ignite last season but yet another injury and as I said earlier, his decision to go to the ACON has almost put him back to square one. He's a £50m+ squad player and not a first choice team player. He should be a first pick for that kind of money. Im not sure he'd want to sit on the bench for most of this season, never mind next. The way things are looking, he's not getting in ahead of Hendo, Milner, Gini, Fab, Chambo and even Lallana. Unless something radical happens, I really cannot see him being here this time next season.
  9. Napoli are in a bit of disarray what with all the friction their owner is creating. But, Im not sure if the players would let this affect them for this game. It is massive for them. Hopefully they arent as up for this as I say. A win means we will be through to the group with a game to spare.
  10. Indeed it was. It's amazing isnt it? When united or chelsea or city were winning at these places when they were winning titles, I dont recall these match reports about them 'just scraping' a win or having 'blushes spared' or ignoring the effects an international break clearly has on players. I hope we fucking open up a massive gap towards the latter half of the season then maybe some of these hack journos will start giving us the respect we deserve.
  11. Anyone seen Matip!? The club's been very cagey about his injury and he's missed a fair few games now.
  12. I can just see this twat hodgson saying to his players before they play us 'Look lads, this lot fucked me over and Id really, really fucking love it if you could dig deep and get me 3 points today.' Maybe some of his players should say 'Boss, instead of looking to get a flukey result against Liverpool, why are you getting us up to play the shit teams around and below us then we might not be looking over our fucking shoulders all the time?'
  13. My fear at the moment is they'll kick shit out of us in the derby and wont give a fuck whether they lose the other 6!
  14. I hate Palace, the twats. If teams like these pulled their tripe out against every team in the league instead of just us and a few others, they wouldnt be such shite teams. A well earned 3 points especially with Brighton going down at home to Leicester. They're another bunch of twats and all while Im at it. I just cannot see chelsea getting anything out of their game at city as they've had a very easy run of fixtures that have catapulted them up the league. Well in Jurgen and the boys. Yet another game where one of our best front 3 didnt play and people expect us not to be able to cope.
  15. Dont know how people can say west ham havent been shit. They've been fucking appalling and a keeper who is beyond a joke.
  16. Lovely or lucky flick by Alii there depending on your opinion!
  17. Looking at this west ham keeper, you have to marvel at their decision not to offer Adrian a new contract even with fabianski there. This guy's fucking hopeless.
  18. What a fucking joke mike riley is. He reckons there were 'only' 4 instances where VAR was involved with the worst possible outcome. And none of them involve Liverpool. And the offside toe of the Sheff United player doesnt make the list either. Premier League referees chief Mike Riley says there were four instances of the "worst possible outcome" of the video assistant referee system in two weeks before the international break. Riley told a meeting of the 20 top-flight clubs that on those occasions VAR had overruled perfectly good decisions by the on-field officials. "We are far from perfect and we have to improve the way we do things," he said. Riley's assistant Neil Swarbrick gave the system a mark of seven out of 10. Riley added: "Part of the balance of understanding 'clear and obvious' [the terminology used to determine when an on-field error should be overturned] is that there will be times when we don't intervene and everyone thinks we should. "But that is a better place to be than intervening and everyone saying 'you shouldn't have done that'. "There are significant things we can do to improve, including better consistency in decision-making as VARs and the timings so we get minimum interference." The four incidents Riley was referring to are below. See if you agree that the VARs got them wrong: 26 October - Brighton 3-2 Everton Match report What happened? In the 77th minute, a penalty was given to the hosts by VAR for a 'foul' by visiting defender Michael Keane on home striker Aaron Connolly. Neal Maupay converted from the spot for 2-2. What was the match outcome? Brighton scored again in the 94th minute through Lucas Digne's own goal to win 3-2. What they said: "If VAR saw something in our box, why didn't it see 15 minutes earlier the penalty for Richarlison," said Toffees boss Marco Silva. "Because of that my players are in the dressing room and don't understand. "If they see one for one side then they have to see for the other side too. It was a clear penalty [to us]. VAR has to be the same for both sides." 27 October - Norwich 1-3 Man Utd Match report What happened? United were awarded a first-half penalty by VAR after a collision between winger Daniel James and home defender Ben Godfrey. Marcus Rashford saw his penalty saved by Tim Krul. What was the match outcome? Despite missing two penalties, goals from Scott McTominay, Rashford and Anthony Martial gave United a 3-1 victory. What they said: "It's quite obvious it was a big mistake," said Canaries manager Daniel Farke. "The referee was right and it was Daniel James falling on the defender. I don't blame VAR for this defeat, we were not major enough in the first half." 27 October - Arsenal 2-2 Crystal Palace Match report What happened? Gunners defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos converted from close range and thought he had won the game for Arsenal late on, but the goal was ruled out by VAR for Calum Chambers' 'foul' on Luka Milivojevic in the box. What was the match outcome? Arsenal surrendered a two-goal lead as Palace hit back to draw 2-2. What they said: "I didn't understand the referee and VAR reaction," said Arsenal manager Unai Emery. "For me there is no confusion - it is not a good decision. "We deserved to win, we had a good reaction after they equalised, we scored but then they didn't count it." 2 November - Watford 1-2 Chelsea Match report What happened? A penalty was awarded to the Hornets by VAR after Gerard Deulofeu went down under a challenge from Jorginho with minimal contact. Deulofeu scored the spot-kick. What was the match outcome? The Spaniard's 80th-minute goal proved only to be a consolation as Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic gave Chelsea a 2-1 victory. What they said: "We're not in a great place with it," said Blues boss Frank Lampard. "Any [decision] that takes that long means they aren't sure, so why aren't we using screens on side of pitch? "But if we are saying they are grey areas and we are overturning decisions because one referee somewhere else thinks it was more of a penalty than the referee on the pitch, then I think we are in a really dangerous place."
