  1. Does Klopp get a say in this? He might well just want to wait for him.
  2. I'm talking in a grander sense. About how good they are for the club, how they act as owners. Hicks and Gillet were a constant embarrassment, ran up debt to a level that almost killed us, fucked with the manager, fucked with the signings and running of the club, but they did spend some money and get us to being the top ranked team over five years, and some very exciting times and players. I'm just saying, mate, careful what you wish for. For me, the Oligarchs at City are running the club well and with money. They're the next step on from our crew. Finding that type of owner isn't going to be easy, and it's far more likely we get a Mike Ashley, a Randy Learner, a group like at Arsenal, or another Hicks and Gillet than it is the Abi Dhabi lot st City, or even the Russian gangster at Chelsea. I want us to win as well, mate; but I'm just saying, let's look before we leap.
  3. Oh. Well, I guess we have different requirements for owners then. I very much care who the owners are beyond throwing some cash around.
  4. I don't think there will be a shortage of bids. I think there'll be s heavy shortage of good owners though. Shysters all over the place.
  5. That's true, we had a couple of billionaires own us previously, so we have seen that being rich isn't enough. Being a sensible, classy, responsible owner willing to finance the project over the long term, throwing extra money into the pot, is a whole different affair.
  6. Sounds like the 'anyone is better than Rafa' approach, Iceman. There is only a very small pocket of people in the world that would do what City and Chelsea owners do for them. Outside of that, who are we looking at that's going to be better? I'd have no issue with them selling, but who takes over is of great concern. Shouting 'sell the club and fuck off' is all very well, but I hope those responsible are a bit more rational, because it can absolutely get much worse than this,
  7. Gifted. Solid 8.25/10 Excellent performances all around. Heartwarming and emotional.
  8. I don't want to admit it, but I really, really want this guy to join. I'm too fucking old, and I've been through too much in life for this to even register in my list of things I should care about but I do.
  9. I'm fucking sick of us briefing the media on this. We should have drastically overpaid whilst also not throwing money around on players who aren't worth it by now.
  10. 40m for him was insane. How much must Coutinho be worth, to the nearest billion.
  11. I don't think we are having issues attracting people, both Van Dijk and Keita are reportedly very interested in joining. However, it seems an obvious truth that clubs are more reluctant to sell their top players than they are bang average ones. If I'm a gullible fool for believing that, then I'll get my jester hat.
  12. In which case every sport is snobbish. Football certainly is, it's not just royalty but anybody with a few quid for a box. Height of fucking snobbery, is Liverpool. And Tranmere. And Everton.
  13. Nice one fella. No doubt you can do it, as you have before. As long as you really want to, you will. Good luck, mate.
  14. No need. MI5 have auto-alerts set up for that sort of filth.
  15. Having lost family to H, I would urge you to get help. Help's out there, as are the human connections you'll need to get through it.
  16. Yeah, I didn't really understand the premise of the question.
  17. Tennis courts by me aren't free, but they're cheap as shit and indoors. Attracts all sorts. The ones by my old place are slap bang in the middle of a council cousins estate. High end Tennis competition is middle class, but then I don't really see the middle class as the enemy or less than me, so I don't really mind that Wimbledon or Queens exist. Not everything has to be covered in soot.
  18. Shite? As I'm untrue or doesn't make sense? I absolutely want quality over quantity. I want us to be patient, just like teams had to be to get Suarez off of us, or RM is having to be with Mbappe. I don't want us acting rashly, losing our heads, and moving on to worse players just because things didn't go right first time. That's the business of amateurs.
  19. Used as a tool to offset the fee of Van Dijk, I'd love him forever. Good player actually, but needs to be moved on.
