  1. I got these for Christmas last year and I think they're boss. Marks and Spencer so not too expensive and Dermot O'Leary seems like a top bloke, so it's a yes from me.
  2. Yes mate, it was just an email, with a link to download the ticket straight to my apple wallet.
  3. My brother transferred me his ticket for the Burnley game just before. I received an email with the link to download to my apple wallet and jobs a good'un. All sorted until I try to get in when it will probably all go to shit.
  4. There's nothing of value that VAR adds to the game, whether it retrospectively gets a decision right or not. It's completely ruining the joy and spontaneity of the game and needs fucking off in it's entirety.
  5. Get your money on the Swiss right now!
  6. VAR ruins games by just being there.
  7. Ok, it's at this point that the actual science/data becomes irrelevant to the conversation.
  8. All this author has done is write a review of meta analysis of data from trials run by other researchers, the largest of which was just 400 participants. Why are you happy to take the word of this author based on this paper, and dismiss the data taken from over 14,000 people on the effectiveness of the vaccines against the delta variant? It makes no sense.
  9. Just for comparison, the largest trial study I can find for the benefits of Ivermectin against Covid19 is 1195 participants. Also: https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/news/ema-advises-against-use-ivermectin-prevention-treatment-covid-19-outside-randomised-clinical-trials
  10. No worries, but I think your taking the word 'suggests' far too literally. The 96%/92% efficacy of the vaccines against the delta variant is calculated from data analysis of over 14,000 people. In terms of biological trials that's a pretty large number.
  11. In 25 years of publishing (biological) scientific papers, I have never used the words 'proof' or 'proved' once. I have regularly used words such as 'suggests', 'indicates', 'evidence', 'shows', 'signifies' etc but never 'proof'. Nothing is ever 'proven' in biological science, the explanation for any phenomena is what best fits the data available.
  12. There's no such thing in science.
  13. The word 'suggests' is used extremely widely and regularly in all scientific publications. It's the go to word for saying this is what the data is telling us.
  14. Fucking hell, that looked bad. Hope to fuck he pulls through.
  15. Top work from from Big Div here: https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/feature/widening-participation/
  16. Repped for 90 minutes. Bought that magazine religiously throughout the mid nineties.
  17. If there's no evolutionary pressure to do so, it won't happen. There's obviously enough prey around for snakes to stay carnivorous.
  18. All the data for the vaccines so far show 100% effectiveness against serious illness and hospitalisation. There's also absolutely no evidence to suggest that any of the vaccines are any less effective against this Indian variant.
  19. If we win all 4 games, the worst we can finish is 4th...usual Old Trafford performance incoming.
  20. It's an online self-interview where you get given a series of questions, 30 secs prep time and then 3 minutes to record each answer using your webcam, which you then submit to the HireVue platform. Totally impersonal and fucking awful.
