To be fair I think the not enough time to coach thing is more about bedding in the new players with the limited time than it is the entire squad. Good aids or bad aids?

The sight of him getting himself in to promising positions with good pace and movement then stopping dead and being dispossessed by some shit defender is as depressing as anything our own shit defenders are doing.

This is by no means a terrible side but the football they play is terrible. In this scenario it goes one of two ways, a couple of players come in and everything clicks (Rodgers' first season) or the manager goes and the players find a new lease of life (Woy's Hidgson's Wild ride). There's been very few reputable sources leaking rumours about either so I'd surmise the owners are taking a wait and see stance. This is a long fucking season!

Had we signed Borini and he banged in a few goal and done a decent job for us then sold him at a profit he'd have been good business. As it is it was bad business because we squandered our limited funds strengthening Sunderland.

The team needs a new spine. We need players who are good enough for a Champions league standard team which is what we should aim to be. If the next three transfers we make aren't a much better GK, a strong dynamic midfielder and a mobile forward then I can see us looking at more years of constant transition. This squads not far off being a really decent collective but they need better players to raise the standard.
